Notre Dame Championship Goals Are Still There

00:08 get back on track and realize that, hey, look, our goals are still in front of us.

00:12 The number one being playing the Notre Dame to the Notre Dame standard,

00:16 the golden standard, which is always the weekly goal for this football team.

00:20 But there's a lot going on that if your ultimate goal is still to be

00:25 a playoff team with a chance to play for national championship,

00:30 that's still in front of you.

00:32 You look at where Notre Dame is now, they're 11th in the AP poll.

00:35 If you look at where they would be in the college football playoff rankings,

00:40 who knows, but they've got one team that's ranked ahead of them still left

00:45 on their schedule.

00:46 There's a lot of matchups between the teams ahead of them where they gotta play

00:49 each other.

00:50 So still a lot of football left, but if Notre Dame is going to be that kind of

00:54 team, obviously this is a big hurdle they gotta get past.

00:56 And so you can't be looking forward to what your playoff resume is gonna look

01:00 like because you need to worry about that one spot on your resume that is the Duke

01:04 Blue Devils.

01:05 And I also think we're gonna learn a lot about this Notre Dame football team with

01:08 how they bounce back this week.

01:09 And not just bounce back from what is the mindset and the psyche, but

01:14 what adjustments do they make and what improvements do they make?

01:18 And are they able to execute at a higher level against what is a really good

01:21 Duke football team?

01:23 So that
