00:03 And that's gonna factor into it.
00:05 However, here's the interesting thing.
00:06 And you look at Notre Dame's pass defense, it's one of the best in college football.
00:10 And this is despite playing USC who's got a top pass offense,
00:14 Louisville's got one, I think a top 30 pass offense.
00:17 They've played some good pass offenses, some good receiving cores this year.
00:20 And Notre Dame still ranks third in total, fewest passing yards allowed,
00:24 fifth in fewest yards per attempt, fourth in fewest touchdowns,
00:27 fourth in most interceptions, fourth in lowest completion percentage.
00:30 Third in pass efficiency defense, six when it comes to fewest big plays allowed.
00:34 They haven't got after the quarterback very well.
00:36 That's obviously been an issue, but it's been in the dominant pass defense.
00:39 But here's the interesting thing about this matchup against Wake Forest.
00:43 And to me, that is that this is still a dangerous football team
00:49 from a pass game standpoint beyond the numbers.
00:53 And here's what I mean by that.
00:55 At the end of the day, their pass game's not very good right now
00:59 because their quarterback play has not been very good.
01:01 Their offensive line has been a mess.
01:03 Okay? That's why it's struggled.
01:07 That's why they haven't been good at what they do.
01:11 But they still have Jamal Banks, who's a talented football player.
01:15 They still have Taylor Morin, who's a talented football player.
01:19 And they still have Keyshawn Williams, who's a talented football player.
01:22 So the injuries to those other players and losing A.T. Perry hurts.
01:26 But last year, Jamal Banks was a 42-catch, 636-yard guy with nine touchdowns.
01:30 Last year, Taylor Morin was 47 catches, 575 yards, and nine touchdowns.
01:35 Keyshawn Williams last year had 39 catches for 553 yards last year in a touchdown.
01:41 So those kids have a lot of production.
01:42 And even though they lost Donovan Green, and even though they lost A.T.
01:45 Perry, who was a star, these guys have seen their production dip.
01:49 They didn't stop being talented players.
01:52 The issue is more about the quarterback problems and
01:58 the offensive line problems.
01:59 So number.
