(Adnkronos) - “L'insufficienza cardiaca in Italia colpisce circa 600.000 persone e l’incidenza aumenta con l’avanzare dell’età, nella popolazione over 65 anni arriva infatti a toccare il 10% di prevalenza”. A dirlo è stato Fabrizio Oliva, presidente dell’Associazione nazionale medici cardiologi ospedalieri (Anmco) e direttore di Cardiologia 1 presso l’ospedale Niguarda di Milano, in occasione della conferenza stampa con la quale è stato annunciato che l’Agenzia italiana del farmaco (Aifa) ha dato il via libera alla rimborsabilità di vericiguat, il nuovo farmaco per il trattamento dell’insufficienza cardiaca sintomatica cronica sviluppato da Bayer.
