00:11 Rami Beitei, who was formerly the Chief Executive of Carrefour France, has today been appointed
00:17 as a new Chief Executive of Bradford-based supermarket chain, Morrison's.
00:24 He will succeed David Potts, who has been Morrison's Chief Executive for nine years.
00:29 Mr Beitei will take up the role in November and will work closely with Mr Potts to ensure
00:34 a smooth handover period.
00:37 Commenting on his appointment, Mr Beitei said today, "Morrison's holds a special place for
00:42 shoppers across the UK and I am honoured to be joining the business to help build on the
00:46 strong links the company has with its loyal customers and the community's way it operates.
