00:00 Yeah, Andrew, you're from Dallas and Commerce, Texas,
00:03 about an hour and a half away from Arlington.
00:06 I assume you got a lot of family and friends
00:08 coming to this game.
00:09 Yeah, I've got about, what's it like, probably 15,
00:12 trying to get 15 to come.
00:14 Yeah, have you been trying to, like,
00:16 hustle people for tickets and stuff?
00:18 Oh, yeah, definitely. Had to get my hustle on
00:20 starting on Sunday night.
00:23 Have you ever played in Cowboys Stadium?
00:24 You ever been to a game there?
00:26 Oh, yeah, I've been to a lot of, like,
00:27 state championship games there.
00:28 I played in, but I actually watched,
00:30 but I played, last time I played Cowboys Stadium,
00:32 it had to be, like, Little League or something.
00:33 I never played in there, like, from a big atmosphere, though.
00:37 Landon, you're a little farther away, but still Texas guy.
00:41 You got a lot of family coming?
00:42 Yeah, I got quite a bit.
00:45 Got a lot that I'm trying to get tickets for
00:47 and a lot that I've kind of told, like,
00:48 "Hey, you might have to buy a ticket,"
00:49 but so I got quite a bit of family coming up.
00:53 Have you ever played in the stadium?
00:54 Yeah, I've played there three times
00:55 because we went to state my freshman,
00:57 sophomore, and junior year,
00:58 and then won it my freshman and junior year.
01:00 Yeah, obviously you played in college.
01:04 What was it like against LSU, playing your former team?
01:07 We didn't get to talk to you last week.
01:08 What was the emotion like and, I guess,
01:10 seeing a lot of guys that you knew?
01:13 Man, it was great.
01:14 I got to go against my roommate, Garrett Dellinger,
01:17 who is currently their starting right guard,
01:18 so talked it up with him quite a bit after the game,
01:22 talked to some old D-line teammates,
01:23 and then, I mean, just really just got to see how they've been
01:28 and really just get the go-against guys
01:30 I've been going against since my freshman year.
01:33 You guys got off to a really great start against them,
01:35 and then, obviously, right before half, they scored,
01:37 and then they just scored every single drive.
01:40 What do you think happened that changed?
01:43 Obviously, there's some adjustments being made by them,
01:45 but what do you think, from your vantage point,
01:48 happened to allow them to be so much more productive
01:50 in the second half?
01:52 Yeah, I think our defensive front needs to be more --
01:56 like, we need to go out there
01:57 and be ready for the tempo more, you know?
01:59 I think last week, they started tempoing,
02:02 and I guess our defensive line just --
02:04 I mean, we got to be able to still play the same
02:06 when they're tempoing us that we do whenever they're not,
02:08 so I think that played a big part in it,
02:10 and then, also, I mean, we just got to play better football.
02:14 We got to have less penalties and, I mean,
02:16 just play a cleaner ball.
02:19 Thanks, fellas.
02:21 Tom.
02:22 Hey, Andrew, I wonder if you've gotten a sense
02:24 from Coach Pittman or just teammates
02:26 on, like, maybe the importance of this rivalry
02:28 and how big the game is for the Razorbacks.
02:32 I mean, every game we play this year
02:33 is going to be a big game for us.
02:34 You know, we try to go in every game,
02:37 try to prepare every game the same way, you know,
02:39 just making sure that the team we're playing this week
02:42 is, you know, the only thing that we're focused on,
02:45 and so I feel like, you know, away from the rivalry part,
02:48 it's just another game that we have to go in
02:50 and try our hardest to dominate again.
02:53 All right. Hey, Landon, you were part of last year's game,
02:56 and that's kind of how they've finished
02:59 for the Razorbacks in recent years.
03:02 Maybe your thoughts about how intense maybe the rivalry is
03:06 and how much you all want to get one back on them?
03:09 Yeah, man, it's a big-time rivalry.
03:11 They've -- I think they've taken 10 of the past 11,
03:14 so, I mean, we're trying to get this one
03:17 and come up on -- come out on top,
03:19 and, I mean, it's a big-time game,
03:20 and, I mean, I'm really trying to get a win, you know?
03:24 I don't like losing. I come from a winning history,
03:26 and I -- I mean, I want to get this one for sure.
03:29 All right, and also, scouting report on those guys,
03:33 preparing for a potential right-handed quarterback,
03:34 left-handed quarterback.
03:36 What do you think of their personnel?
03:38 I think they -- I think both quarterbacks are very talented.
03:41 Max Johnson has started games his freshman year,
03:43 sophomore year, and now this year,
03:45 so, I mean, I'm excited to play him.
03:48 He's another guy I was teammates with at LSU.
03:50 He -- he can throw really well on the run,
03:53 so that's something we're trying to --
03:54 we're preparing to do is keep him in the pocket,
03:56 so, I mean, that, and then Connor Wayman,
04:00 I mean, if he's able to play,
04:01 he's a really talented quarterback as well.
04:04 All right, and, Andrew, the defensive scouting report,
04:06 they got some older guys in the secondary
04:09 and some veterans up front, too.
04:11 What do you think of their defensive personnel?
04:14 You know, I feel like their defensive personnel
04:16 is very good, you know, all credit to those guys over there.
04:18 I know they're preparing just like us,
04:21 how we're preparing, and, you know,
04:22 we're just going to go out there and find --
04:24 find a way to take their defense in any way possible.
04:28 Bob?
04:30 Hey, Andrew, you played at Texas A&M Commerce,
04:37 which I guess is kind of like the Aggies,
04:39 you know, younger brother or something.
04:41 I had a guy, A&M guy,
04:42 tell me that A&M recruited you pretty hard, too.
04:45 What's it like for a guy who was a --
04:46 started his career at Commerce to play,
04:49 you know, the big A&M, and did A&M recruit you,
04:51 and how much consideration did you give him?
04:54 Oh, well, I was locked in on Arkansas no matter what,
04:57 so, like, it's going to be good playing them, you know.
05:02 I did talk to, you know, coaches before I did commit
05:05 or whatever, but, you know, it's going to be --
05:07 it's going to be a great time playing them, you know,
05:08 just because I played for, you know,
05:10 an A&M little brother, as you say,
05:11 so it's going to be -- it's going to be fun playing,
05:13 you know, the big brother of Commerce, I guess.
05:17 Yeah, I didn't mean that disrespectfully.
05:18 No, no, you're good. You're good. You're good.
05:20 And then, you know, both --
05:23 Jalen was talking about this, too.
05:24 You know, all you guys from Texas,
05:26 everybody's trying to get tickets, right?
05:28 So how competitive is it, and do you guys --
05:30 I don't know, are there some tricks to maybe --
05:32 Oh, I thought I was going to get those tickets,
05:34 but this guy got them.
05:36 What's that like during the week,
05:37 I guess, the competitiveness of trying to score
05:39 as many tickets as you can?
05:41 Man, I told my family, I told them on our family group chat,
05:45 I got a guarantee for if you want to for sure
05:48 be able to come and you're not mom, dad, brother, fiance,
05:52 you better just go ahead and buy a ticket
05:53 because there ain't no promises.
05:55 You got to -- you got to go to the low.
05:57 You got to go to where nobody think you're going to go.
06:00 You know, you got to -- that's people you got to go to
06:02 that nobody think you'll go to, so that's the little trick.
06:06 So don't air this until I get the tickets.
06:10 Well, I don't know. I don't have anything to do with that.
06:12 But -- and then, you know, KJ's on the --
06:15 he's got 77 touchdowns,
06:17 I guess they call accounted for, you know, passing and running,
06:20 and he's about to break the school record for that.
06:23 Just what do you guys think?
06:25 Andrew, obviously you haven't been around KJ super long,
06:27 but what do you guys think about KJ?
06:29 What makes him such a productive quarterback?
06:32 I mean, KJ just -- you know, it's KJ.
06:34 You know, he stays in the field room.
06:37 He pays attention to the defenses.
06:39 If he sees anything wrong, you know,
06:40 he talks to all of us about what we can do better,
06:42 what he can do better, even if he messes up.
06:44 He just takes accountability for everything,
06:46 you know, even if he's not in the wrong, you know.
06:48 He's just a great guy, great quarterback,
06:50 and makes sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.
06:54 Lane, you've obviously gone against KJ in practice a lot,
06:57 and, you know, you get to watch him some in games,
06:58 I guess, a little bit when you're not talking to your coaches.
07:01 Just from a defensive standpoint,
07:03 what makes KJ so tough to defend?
07:07 Man, he's what makes the offense run.
07:09 He's the -- I mean, the engine to the offense.
07:11 So, I mean, he can run the ball, he can throw the ball,
07:15 and he's a really talented quarterback.
07:17 And I think all of his leadership qualities
07:20 is what makes him as talented as a quarterback as he is.
07:26 I guess you don't get to hit him in practice,
07:28 and nor should you, but, you know,
07:32 what do you think makes him so tough to tackle?
07:33 Because we've seen all these videos of guys
07:36 bouncing off him and stuff like he's wearing armor or something.
07:38 What do you think makes him so tough to bring down?
07:40 Man, you would think he has eyes all around his head,
07:43 because, I mean, he'll get hit from behind
07:45 and won't really budge.
07:47 So, I mean, he must --
07:48 I think he has really good balance and really elusive.
07:53 Hey, Scott, one more.
07:54 I've had a lot of people ask me this week,
07:55 "How do you think the teams are doing?"
07:56 You know, a couple of really tough losses,
07:58 tough game coming up.
07:59 I said, "Man, I don't know.
08:00 I'll ask the players when we get them."
08:02 So, for each of you, maybe, Lane, you can take it first.
08:04 Kind of what's the mindset?
08:05 How are you guys hanging in there?
08:07 Yeah, we're just, I mean,
08:09 really trying to stay together, you know?
08:11 I mean, that's the only way to bounce back from two losses,
08:14 is to stay together and, man, let's go get this game.
08:17 We can't separate and start -- I mean, point fingers and stuff.
08:21 That's not the way you go on to win games.
08:23 You got to put the losses behind you
08:24 and go on and continue the season.
08:28 Just like Laney said, you know, we've seen the games
08:31 that we lost, you know, BYU, we lost by a touchdown.
08:33 You know, LSU, we lost by three points.
08:35 So we know how good of a team we can be,
08:37 because if anything, if things fall our way,
08:39 like we wanted them to, you know,
08:40 there is no question about we could have been,
08:42 you know, four and 0, you know, going into A&M,
08:45 you know, with our head very high.
08:46 And our head is still high because, like I said,
08:48 we lost by three, we lost by one touchdown.
08:51 So, like I said, we know how great we can be as a team,
08:53 and we're just going to go out there and just compete,
08:55 you know, and play like we're four and 0,
08:57 trying to still go undefeated.
09:00 Thanks, guys.
09:02 Yeah.
09:05 Andrew, I know you and Isaac have,
09:08 you know, gotten some pretty consistent targets
09:10 over the course of the year, but last Saturday
09:14 was the first time Tyrone really got going in the offense
09:16 and had the touchdown.
09:18 Just have you seen any added confidence from him this week,
09:21 and how good is it to kind of get him involved in the offense?
09:24 Man, it was great seeing him score that touchdown,
09:26 because me and him were talking literally the night before,
09:28 you know, like about, like, you know, the opportunities there.
09:32 You know, I told him that night,
09:34 I don't want to sound like LeBron or anything,
09:35 but I knew that night,
09:37 the day after he was going to score a touchdown,
09:39 you know, so I told him, you know,
09:41 just go out there and just do your thing,
09:42 and, you know, you're going to score.
09:43 So, I know, you know, it was great.
09:46 And I was really happy for him, you know.
09:48 I feel like he's confident.
09:49 He's been very confident with just his play style
09:53 and things like that.
09:54 So, I feel like, you know, throughout the season,
09:55 he's going to just continue to build and build.
09:59 Yeah, and, you know, him playing with you and Isaac
10:03 is something we hadn't really seen until last week,
10:05 all on the field at the same time.
10:07 I mean, what's it been like in practice,
10:09 the three of you working together?
10:10 Has it, you know, Coach Pittman said,
10:12 you haven't really been working on it too long.
10:14 Does it seem like it's a pretty natural fit
10:16 when the three of you guys share the field together?
10:18 Yeah, it's pretty natural, you know.
10:20 We all out there, like I said, we are transfers.
10:22 We all came in together.
10:24 So, all of us on the field at the same time, you know,
10:26 it was just, you know, everybody just know their job,
10:29 know what they have to do, you know, smoothly,
10:31 the spacing, the route running,
10:33 everything was just, you know, fell into place.
10:36 Thanks, guys.
10:38 Greg.
10:40 Yeah, I think Devon A-chain is still running on Denver Broncos,
10:45 so he's not somebody you have to worry about now.
10:47 But Moss and Daniels, eight and four,
10:51 are two talented backs.
10:52 I'm curious, Landon, what you've seen from those guys.
10:55 What kind of runners are they?
10:57 Man, they run really hard.
10:59 Their O-line is what gets that started.
11:01 They have a really big, stronger O-line,
11:04 and I think it will be a better O-line
11:05 that we'll be facing throughout the season.
11:07 But I still to this day think
11:09 we have a really talented defensive front,
11:11 and I think we'll be able to shut it down
11:13 if we just play the way I know we can play.
11:15 Yeah, can you expound a little bit more on that,
11:17 on the offensive line, just what makes them a good front?
11:21 Yeah, I think it all starts with Bryce Foster, their center.
11:24 He's a guy I knew growing up,
11:26 and he's a really talented center.
11:28 He's able to read defenses really well,
11:29 and then their tackles are really big as well.
11:31 I think they're both weighing in at close to 320, 325.
11:34 So they got bigger, stronger guys,
11:36 and, I mean, really guys that are meant for a team
11:40 that likes to run the football.
11:43 Thanks, fellas.
11:44 Sir.
11:45 Daniel.
11:47 Hey, Andrew, Coach Pittman talked about on Monday
11:51 having to get the play call in faster
11:53 because y'all burned timeouts on the play call.
11:55 Just what have y'all done in practice this week
11:58 to kind of fix that, or what have the coaches
12:00 talked to y'all about?
12:01 You know, just everybody hustling up,
12:02 getting on the ball as fast as we can,
12:04 looking to the sideline,
12:05 and just making sure everybody is focused on,
12:07 you know, looking at the play
12:08 and not focused on the play you just did.
12:10 You know, worry about, you know, getting the ball to the ref
12:13 or just, like, doing something that you're not supposed to do.
12:16 So we put a big emphasis on this week,
12:19 on just hurry up, get on the ball,
12:20 look to the sideline, get in the play, and execute.
