00:22 Komalek herself said that the barangay SK elections are a hot battle.

00:27 But now, on October 30, more than 500 barangays in the country

00:31 have no candidates for the barangay chairperson, SK chairperson, and SK members.

00:38 Most of those barangays are in the Samoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao or BARMM.

00:44 Most of the thousands of barangays in BARMM also have unopposed candidates or no opponents.

00:51 But even if there are no opponents, like in many places in Sulu and Tawi-Tawi,

00:56 elections are still needed.

00:57 First, so that there can be one vote.
