Arkansas Razorbacks coach Sam Pittman's complete Monday press conference wrapping up another close loss to LSU and ahead to game with Texas A&M on Saturday in Arlington.
Transcript
00:00 And we got here right around seven.
00:03 Might've been a little bit earlier, but no weather.
00:07 And we flew into Little Rock and landed.
00:12 We had a few options.
00:14 None of them were very good.
00:16 Flying from, they felt like we could've got to Tulsa
00:19 at the time and then bussed in,
00:22 maybe got home around 5.30 or something.
00:24 Or waited out two to four hours.
00:29 And then we tried to get some buses in Tulsa.
00:31 They didn't have them.
00:32 Come to find out if we would've went there,
00:36 we would've had to turn around and land back in Little Rock
00:39 because the weather wouldn't allow us.
00:40 But, you know, my biggest thing at that point
00:43 was the plane was real quiet.
00:45 So I knew our kids were sleeping on the plane.
00:48 So that's really what I was most concerned about.
00:50 We pushed back, you know, yoga and things of that nature
00:54 yesterday afternoon.
00:57 But the staff, I pushed back an hour,
01:02 and we ended up getting the same amount of time,
01:04 same amount of work on A&M.
01:07 We just took a shorter family break last night
01:11 and got the same amount of work on A&M.
01:14 But, yeah, it was, I think I got home around 7.15
01:19 or something like that.
01:21 Any series of frustrated Arkansas fans?
01:23 It might be this series because of how many close calls
01:26 there have been, including last year.
01:29 What's your maybe overall take on what it's been like
01:31 facing them since they've been in the league?
01:35 You know, obviously two years ago
01:40 when we went over there and won,
01:41 that was -- or went down to Dallas.
01:44 Last year when I was here before, we lost in overtime.
01:49 I'm not sure if it wasn't twice.
01:51 I think it was once for sure,
01:52 but I'm not sure if it wasn't twice.
01:55 You know, it's a series where, you know,
01:59 games don't be close.
02:02 Obviously another trophy game, things of that nature.
02:05 But in all honesty, in these close games,
02:08 we've come up disappointed more times than not.
02:12 So we've got to play with the same amount of passion
02:16 that we had last week, but with smarter,
02:19 you know, pre-snap penalties basically both sides of the ball.
02:26 Because the other penalties are going to happen.
02:27 You're going to get a hold.
02:29 You know, we had one.
02:30 You're going to get a hold on defense.
02:32 We had two.
02:34 You're not -- you're coaching, trying to coach that.
02:36 But the pre-snap penalties,
02:39 we overcame them offensively, doesn't --
02:41 besides the third and -- or fourth --
02:44 the short yard down on the goal line.
02:47 But it doesn't make it right.
02:49 We've got to get that out of us.
02:50 We thought we were prepared.
02:52 Thought we'd done a nice job there,
02:53 but obviously we didn't do a good enough job.
02:57 Devin Maynard played more snaps
02:58 in the left tackle than Andrew Chambly.
03:00 I was curious just what went into when each guy was in.
03:05 And, I mean, do you see that maybe Devin has taken,
03:08 you know, a step up on Chambly there?
03:10 No, I don't -- I don't see --
03:11 the last part, I don't see that.
03:16 Obviously, game, field, matchups,
03:21 things of that nature go into a lot of, you know,
03:24 I can sit in here and tell you we're going to do this,
03:26 this, and this, and we might do the opposite.
03:30 You know what I mean? And I meant what I told you.
03:33 There's still a major battle there.
03:36 Devin has not yet put a full week of practice healthy
03:41 or with the strength that he needs
03:45 because of his injury, injuries.
03:50 So until that happens,
03:52 I don't know that we can do anything differently
03:54 than what we're doing now,
03:55 trying to get them both ready to play
03:57 and things of that nature.
03:58 If that happens, then we'll have to decide
04:01 what we're going to do.
04:02 But basically, at the time that was going,
04:06 we felt like that'd be our best way to win,
04:08 and that has nothing negative to do with Andrew.
04:10 Just that's what we thought.
04:13 And then with AJ, it looked like he was favoring his shoulder
04:16 on his last carry when he ran off.
04:18 Is he okay? He'll be fine.
04:20 He's got a little soreness in that shoulder,
04:23 but I think he'll be fine.
04:26 Last one, I guess, any update on Rocket's status
04:28 for this weekend? No.
04:30 I wish I knew.
04:33 We're going to find out a little bit more today at practice.
04:35 You know, obviously, he ran and did some things last week,
04:38 but it wasn't, you know, stopping starts
04:40 and things of that nature.
04:43 So, as of right now, he's going to do some things today,
04:47 as much as he possibly can do, and hopefully it goes well.
04:52 We need him.
04:54 But to say he's going to play or not play right now,
04:57 and this has nothing to do with A&M or who knows or what,
05:01 I really don't know right now.
05:04 Obviously, he's going to have a bunch of thoughts
05:05 about his aches and pains and stuff after a game like that.
05:07 But he came out pretty healthy overall?
05:10 You know, we did, you know, looking at -
05:15 that was a really physical football game,
05:18 and, you know, I think we can get Chavis back.
05:23 Hopefully, we can get Rocket back.
05:26 There was another one there that was out last week.
05:30 There's three of them.
05:33 Who? No, Tank, I think he'll be ready to go.
05:36 There's another one. I'll think of it in a minute.
05:38 But we got to add three to the roster that had been out,
05:42 assuming Rocket can play,
05:44 and that's hard to do at this time.
05:48 But I think we came out relatively injury-free.
05:52 We've got some bumps, like you say,
05:54 but relatively injury-free for this Saturday's game.
06:00 Let me just say, a couple of things
06:02 that didn't play as much.
06:04 Pooh and Thomas get lined back through the whole game,
06:07 and then you didn't rotate really like Hudson
06:10 kind of around like you had before.
06:11 It was more just Walcott and Johnson.
06:14 With it, it was kind of muggy down there,
06:16 and I think LSU kind of did the same thing,
06:18 not rotating as many guys.
06:19 You think both defenses just kind of got a little worn out?
06:24 There may be some of that, to be honest with you.
06:27 I think theirs was more that, you know, on their offense,
06:32 but their quarterback was on,
06:34 and, you know, they've got really good receivers.
06:36 I don't know that if we would have rotated more.
06:40 I think Braxton played 25 snaps,
06:43 but, you know, I don't know that if we had rotated more
06:47 that we'd have any more success.
06:49 Obviously, we didn't believe it at the time, you know,
06:52 but I think we played --
06:55 you know, we made plays on offense, you know.
06:57 Just things weren't always smooth,
07:00 but we made plays, and we overcame our own misfortunes.
07:06 But I think once you get to SEC, you go into the game
07:10 believing in who you're going into.
07:11 You want to rotate them if they're tired.
07:13 Otherwise, you know, you want to leave them in there
07:15 and play unless there's a strong battle between two guys.
07:19 Sam, you know, I was faced by Katrina last year,
07:24 and facing him again.
07:26 What do you think about that, and just what do you think
07:28 about the job he's doing there at A&M?
07:30 Well, he's obviously a great coach,
07:32 and, you know, watching him,
07:35 I think there's a lot of Coach Petrino, a lot of --
07:43 heck, I see a lot of Jim Chaney, you know, in him.
07:49 Obviously, Coach Fischer is, you know,
07:55 I think he's got a lot to do with it, too.
07:57 I don't see a whole lot of difference in this year
08:00 than what they were last year.
08:02 There are some differences,
08:03 but they're still a very physical running team.
08:09 They've adjusted some of their line from last year.
08:12 But Coach Petrino is one of the best offensive minds in the game,
08:16 and we respect him a lot,
08:20 and they're doing a really nice job on offense.
08:23 You know, they took quarterback through five touchdowns
08:25 to get first game, you know, wiggling against New Mexico.
08:30 So they're throwing it well and running it well.
08:33 They have that same staple of physicality
08:35 that they've been using in the past.
08:39 I guess you don't know enough yet,
08:40 but Max Johnson came in, seemed like he played okay,
08:44 and I know you faced him last year.
08:45 If Max Johnson is the guy, what are your thoughts about him?
08:49 I think he's a really good player,
08:51 and they've obviously done a nice job
08:53 with being able to keep him, you know,
08:55 and he wasn't named the starter.
08:59 I think in his mind, it looks to me like he believes
09:02 he's the starter and the kids, more importantly,
09:04 around him believe in him.
09:06 Obviously got a lot of speed.
09:08 He's fast.
09:11 Great movement thrower.
09:15 Definitely, they run a lot of nakeds,
09:18 trying to move the pocket with him,
09:21 and he was very, very accurate
09:24 and really gave the team a spark,
09:27 I thought, last week watching the game.
09:30 You ended up burning all three timeouts in the second half.
09:34 Is that something that you can address in practice this week?
09:40 Yeah, I mean, we have to.
09:44 We've got to get lined up faster.
09:46 We've got to get set faster.
09:48 We've got to get the call in faster.
09:50 Yeah, I mean, we have to because I didn't have any left.
09:57 You know, we didn't have a chance.
09:59 It was either let them score or try to knock it out of them
10:02 there at the end, so to answer your question,
10:06 yes, we're not going to have music
10:10 the first part of practice.
10:11 We're just going to have it done two minutes today
10:13 so we can really coach the urgency of --
10:19 and we haven't had that problem in the past,
10:22 so it had to have something to do with noise.
10:25 We will get that back Tuesday or Wednesday,
10:29 but today we're just going to try to emphasize
10:33 the speed of getting our plays in
10:35 and getting them called and getting them ran.
10:38 Todd Devine had over 100 yards of offense Saturday.
10:42 Have you seen him make some strides
10:43 and just kind of weigh your thoughts on him?
10:45 Do you think he's got, like, 10-plus carries the last three?
10:48 Yeah, I think the Saturday is whenever I felt like he's in,
10:53 you know, what we thought he was going to be.
10:55 I mean, he carried guys, made yards on contact,
11:00 made guys miss in the open field.
11:04 Hopefully that's just the beginning
11:05 of a whole lot of great games for him.
11:08 I know he obviously had one last year in the Liberty Bowl,
11:12 but, yeah, that's what we see every day at practice,
11:17 and hopefully we get him in that form each and every week,
11:23 but I thought he played a heck of a game.
11:26 Follow-up on the time-out question.
11:27 It looked like one time Lemar was trying to get him
11:29 going quickly, and then KJ looked over and called time-out.
11:32 How much leeway does KJ have to call time-out,
11:36 or is that a coach's thing or a player thing?
11:39 Well, we tell him if there's no way
11:42 that he can get the play ran
11:47 that he has an opportunity to call time-out.
11:51 Now, there'll be certain times in the game
11:54 when we'll tell him he can't.
11:55 In other words, if we're down to one yard,
11:58 we'll just take the delay or whatever it may be,
12:00 but if he knows he can't get the play called in time,
12:06 he has an opportunity to call that time.
12:10 Because I'll be honest with you, I don't know
12:11 whether he can or not, you know what I mean?
12:13 I don't know whether he's going to clap or not,
12:15 and he's the only one that knows the clock
12:18 and if he can get it all.
12:20 Craig mentioned how Pooh and Jaheem Thomas
12:22 played most of the snaps at linebacker.
12:24 I think they did that the previous week as well.
12:25 Are you comfortable with them playing that number of snaps,
12:27 or would you like maybe a third linebacker to emerge?
12:29 Well, I think you'd always like more guys
12:33 that you believe are ready to win those type of games with.
12:38 Obviously, there's a lot that goes into a game
12:43 way more than is everybody 100% in shape to that play.
12:56 There has what's my assignment,
12:58 what happens if the back runs out of the backfield,
13:01 all those things.
13:02 And so sometimes you don't put guys on the field
13:06 if you're not comfortable with them doing their assignment,
13:09 even though they're probably fresher.
13:12 So we've got to continue to --
13:14 And then you ask, how do you get comfortable with a guy?
13:17 Well, practice would have to be the way,
13:20 where they're doing the things in practice
13:22 that you need them to do in a game
13:24 and make them more comfortable.
13:26 You come with that's what's going to happen.
13:29 Then you can take some guys off the field.
13:31 Obviously, the guys that are starting,
13:34 you feel real comfortable that they are going
13:36 to do the right thing.
13:39 So obviously, that doesn't happen all the time.
13:41 But that's what you're thinking.
13:44 Most of the guys that are playing
13:45 are not only your best players.
13:46 They're the ones that you might --
13:49 Not smartest isn't the word,
13:50 but can do their assignment at the most consistency.
13:55 Braxton, you mentioned he played about 25 snaps or so.
13:58 He also started the previous week.
13:59 Just how much did he push in for that second
14:01 starting spot opposite of Nudy?
14:03 Well, I don't know who he's opposite,
14:06 but he's definitely pushing to be a starter.
14:15 Penalty, obviously, it's impossible
14:20 to fully simulate a game situation in practice.
14:23 But in your experience, what's the best way,
14:26 mid-season, mid-week, to address the penalty situation
14:29 and make tangible progress?
14:30 Well, obviously, what we did last week
14:34 to address it didn't work.
14:38 So all I know is that you have to have a ball
14:42 in everything you do on the D line.
14:46 You have to move all the time on the O line.
14:51 And you have to move with noise.
14:54 So today, we're going to do it without it
14:56 just to emphasize speed, getting set,
14:59 all those type things.
15:01 And basically, it's a new day.
15:03 We're having some install, and we've got to talk to them.
15:06 But I think throughout the week,
15:07 you just overemphasize movement and move calls
15:13 and those things and try to simulate,
15:16 like you said, as much as you possibly can.
15:19 But obviously, what we did last week didn't work,
15:23 so we're going to try something a little bit different.
15:26 Up to the game, Luke, has about understanding
15:28 that when KJ's under pressure,
15:30 he's oftentimes not going to go down
15:32 and understanding his role in extending the play
15:34 and staying open for KJ.
15:36 How have you seen the chemistry between Luke, a freshman,
15:39 and KJ, who's been here for a while,
15:41 grow as the season progresses?
15:42 Yeah, I think you see it each week.
15:44 He's playing quite a bit better each week,
15:46 making more plays each week.
15:48 The one, the touchdown, he cut down their sideline.
15:52 He just went deep. It was a scramble,
15:53 and that was his assignment.
15:55 He went deep, and they lost him on it.
15:57 And obviously, KJ found him.
15:59 But I think we're doing a really good job
16:02 with our wide outs.
16:02 There was a time KJ had already decided
16:05 to throw the ball away,
16:06 but Andrew Armstrong did a nice job
16:10 in the end zone getting open.
16:13 But KJ had already, you know, he wasn't open
16:15 by the time KJ had decided to throw it away,
16:17 which was a good call on his part.
16:20 But I think we're doing a really good job
16:23 with the scramble drill.
16:24 Luke himself catches the ball incredible,
16:28 and he can run, you know,
16:31 so we continue to work on his blocking.
16:34 But he's a big-time weapon, you know, running routes.
16:38 And we're adding stuff more in each week.
16:41 You talked about the receiver trio after the game.
16:45 But I'm just curious, how long has Isaac
16:46 kind of been working in the slot?
16:48 Is that something you saw he could do
16:49 when you were recruiting him?
16:51 Well, he's been in there --
16:54 last week is when he started.
16:58 That's one thing, when you move,
17:00 when you're moving to get another guy
17:01 possibly on the field and things of that nature.
17:05 The first question is,
17:06 will he be as good at another position?
17:08 You know, you don't want to go --
17:11 you got a guy playing well, moving,
17:12 now he's playing okay,
17:14 but you got another guy on the field.
17:17 I thought he handled it well Saturday.
17:19 And, of course, when we were in 12 personnel,
17:21 he's back to where he is all the time anyway.
17:24 So he's not just a slot, you know, per se.
17:29 But again, Tyrone, I mean,
17:30 he made some big plays for us and things.
17:33 So I think it worked out probably,
17:36 and I think for the future,
17:37 I think it'll even be better for us.
17:41 Can you evaluate the defensive line
17:43 after these past two games?
17:44 Because it feels like when the defense is really --
17:46 obviously, when the defense is clicking,
17:48 they're getting in the backfield,
17:49 both running and passing.
17:50 When, you know, other teams are making big plays,
17:53 that pressure is not much there.
17:54 I mean, what have you seen from that unit so far?
17:57 Well, they play hard.
18:00 At times, we can get to them with a four-man rush,
18:06 and then other times we can't.
18:08 But I think that's probably just football as well.
18:12 You know, we're playing --
18:13 LSU's got a good offensive line as well.
18:17 But you're right.
18:18 When, you know, our goal was to frustrate the quarterback,
18:21 and I thought we did it early.
18:23 And then after that, we didn't so much.
18:28 But I think our D-line is playing well.
18:32 I think we've got to figure out
18:35 our third-down package a little bit more.
18:37 We've got a third-down package.
18:39 It's not getting the pressure that we want,
18:43 so we may look at something a little different there.
18:46 Five, the second home game that you guys
18:49 aren't playing here, obviously,
18:51 even with the SEC schedule change next year,
18:53 still going to Arlington.
18:55 Are you in --
18:56 We went to Little Rock.
18:58 Are you in favor of this A&M game,
19:01 staying a neutral site game?
19:02 Do you guys enjoy it, or would you like to see it
19:04 maybe become a, you know, home and home?
19:09 Well, if you look, and you've got Little Rock
19:13 and you've got Dallas, and they're both home games,
19:16 they're not home.
19:17 And so, obviously, I'd like to play in our stadium
19:23 as much as we possibly can.
19:25 On the Jimbo Fisher team,
19:30 what are its characteristics, would you say?
19:33 Physical, big, a lot of speed.
19:45 I think those three would come well-coached,
19:49 but they're always big.
19:52 I remember my first year here at Rudderby,
19:56 that's a lot, jogging by their receivers.
20:00 And they looked like tight ends.
20:02 I mean, they were the biggest dang guys ever.
20:05 I remember we was playing over there in front of their 17,
20:07 60,000 people in COVID.
20:11 17,000? No, it was 60.
20:15 And they were big.
20:19 I mean, it's got a big team.
20:20 They've got a great big team.
20:22 Jimbo coaches developed a heck of a football team.
20:31 You spoke about social media
20:32 and how that can impact teams and all.
20:34 It looks like you backed away on social media last week.
20:36 Did you see any thoughts about, you know, the rationale there
20:39 and how it can affect you?
20:41 Figure out the rationale.
20:45 You know, when you're a public figure,
20:47 I think everybody thinks it's okay to bash public figures,
20:52 people, might be musicians, coaches,
20:57 you know, whatever it may be.
20:58 And I'll be honest with you, I just got sick of it.
21:01 And so I decided to --
21:04 Now, my friend over here has told me I need to bring it back.
21:08 The only reason I had it in the first place
21:10 is he's so mad at me right now.
21:15 The only reason I had it in the first place is for recruiting.
21:19 And I'm told it would do well for the university
21:22 if I'd bring it back.
21:24 I do not believe that you can hide behind a phone
21:29 and address people as personally as what people do.
21:33 I don't think it's fair. I don't think it's right.
21:36 And I don't think it's right for the kids.
21:40 I mean, I'm a counselor last week for my partner,
21:45 for some old linemen, for this.
21:48 And that's -- To me, that's not what it is
21:52 for a bunch of people that's hiding to talk about you.
21:57 And if you want to ask me a question,
21:59 but everybody knows I'm fat.
22:01 Everybody knows I got a big chest and all that.
22:04 To do that, who does that make feel better?
22:10 Who does that make it's not right?
22:13 And I'm not -- People say, "Well, you make a lot of money."
22:16 It ain't got nothing to do with people bashing you personally.
22:20 And you can talk about my coaching all you want.
22:24 I miss that now.
22:25 Going attacking me and guys on the team, it's not right.
22:30 I'll never feel like it's right.
22:31 And that is with musicians.
22:35 That is with anything.
22:37 You can't -- As a coach,
22:38 you can't have a political affiliation.
22:41 You can't have a religious affiliation.
22:44 You can't do anything, okay?
22:46 But you can take it.
22:48 Now, I got tired of taking it.
22:50 I closed my Twitter account.
22:51 So it looks like I'm going to fire it back up.
22:57 But that's how I feel about it.
23:02 And all that's going to do
23:03 is get some more people bashing me.
23:05 So go right ahead because I don't have Twitter.
23:11 -You may have been watching A&M and Auburn.
23:14 I would see you're getting very thrilled.
23:15 Did you see the play where Jimbo was on the --
23:19 -Man, that had to be a terrible feeling.
23:23 Guys, I like Jimbo Fisher.
23:24 I do. I do.
23:25 He's a good man, good coach.
23:28 I mean, he'd get killed down there by their people.
23:32 That's just the nature of people.
23:34 But not all people, just a little bit, a few people.
23:38 But he was out there, and the guy was running
23:41 closer to the sideline than he was.
23:44 He ran inside of it,
23:46 and you could just see on his face like, "Oh, no."
23:50 And I'm sure I would have --
23:51 You know, I don't know if I would get out that far or not,
23:53 but it had to be a bad feeling for him,
23:57 and I don't think that -- I didn't see a flag come off of it.
23:59 Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't.
24:01 But, yeah, that had to be a terrible feeling,
24:04 him out there.
24:05 I'm sure all coaches can almost get caught
24:07 doing the same thing, you know.
24:09 -You can't juggle.
24:11 Jimbo talks real fast at practice.
24:12 -Yeah, he does. -When you're talking to him,
24:14 like, at the 50-yard line for a kickoff or maybe in meetings --
24:16 -He's rolling. -Does he talk like that
24:18 all the time? -He's rolling, man.
24:20 You better pay attention.
24:22 He'd be -- That's why he's such a good recruiter.
24:23 He talks so fast, you'd have to listen to him, you know.
24:28 But I do.
24:30 I like the man and I think I have high respect for him,
24:34 and they got a good football team
24:36 just like they do every year, and we'll try to figure it out.
24:41 -Overall.
24:42 -Again, big comes to my mind.
24:46 I think they're really good at linebacker.
24:48 I think they would think, and I do, too,
24:51 that their front four is big, physical, you know,
24:56 like they seem like they always are
24:58 before they get off the football.
25:00 I'd really like their linebacker for this year,
25:03 and obviously, they got a tremendous amount
25:06 of speed in the secondary.
25:08 You know, they got really good statistics.
25:12 So it's going to be a really big challenge,
25:14 but they're a big, physical group that can run.
25:16 I mean, you see why each guy's playing the position
25:20 that they're playing.
25:23 -The BYU game has, you know,
25:25 like third down from their team, so they're the third team.
25:28 LSU went eight for 13.
25:29 How do you bottle the third down success rate
25:33 and take it into a game that's,
25:35 you know, historically been pretty close?
25:37 -Yeah. Well, I think a little bit of it is we're playing,
25:44 you know, I think each game we play together more with our --
25:48 you know, it's not just the coordinator.
25:50 You know, we got new people out there.
25:51 I think, you know, if you look at it,
25:53 you got, you know, three brand-new wide receivers.
25:58 You had spring ball for most of it.
25:59 You got a couple new offensive line --
26:02 three, actually, three offensive line.
26:04 So it takes a little bit of time, game time,
26:07 to kind of play together a little bit better.
26:12 Hopefully, we can continue to do a good job on third down prep
26:21 and basically do the execution that we did Saturday night,
26:29 so against whom I think was a really good football team.
26:32 Really good.
26:33 And so you just kind of --
26:36 I think everybody's getting used to each other a little bit more,
26:39 and I think KJ's starting to find his guys
26:42 that he knows are going to catch the football,
26:44 and there's a lot of them out there.
26:46 It all -- to me, it all starts with ability to run the football,
26:52 and I felt like we did that pretty well Saturday night.
26:58 I just wanted to follow up on the Twitter thing,
27:01 and you mentioned you being --
27:02 having to be a counselor during the week for your guys.
27:04 I mean, there's been some mental health stuff
27:07 with some pretty notable transfers being,
27:09 you know, declined.
27:10 I'm curious, like, how much --
27:12 not only when a guy has a bad performance,
27:15 you have to be a counselor, but just overall,
27:16 in the course of the season, a program building,
27:18 are you focusing on that kind of mental health with your players?
27:21 Mental health is a big, big deal.
27:28 We talk about it.
27:30 We have several guys that are in counseling.
27:36 We encourage it.
27:37 Fletcher was at practice on Monday.
27:46 He's lower and lower, and I walked by him.
27:51 I become that counselor at times, and I walked by him.
27:54 I said, "Hey, Max, what's wrong with you?"
27:58 Social media.
28:02 I ain't going to tell you everything I said,
28:04 but I said, "What are they saying, man?"
28:08 Went to Australia to get a 10-yard punter
28:10 and, you know, all this kind of stuff.
28:14 Why'd you go all that way to get a guy that can't kick?"
28:17 I said, "Max, they didn't say I'm fat on there, did they?"
28:20 He said, "Yes, sir."
28:23 I said, "What about my chest?
28:26 Did they say anything about that?"
28:28 He started smiling there.
28:29 He said, "Yes, sir."
28:31 I said, "Was I supposed to get fired on Sunday?"
28:35 He said, "Yes, sir."
28:38 I said, "Well, I'm still here.
28:41 They got two out of three right," you know?
28:45 So, and then I think a big part of him is, you know,
28:49 he punted once for 53 yards, and then he did the fake,
28:52 and I was really happy for him, but to answer your question,
28:55 there's a lot of -- we talk about a lot of things,
29:01 and one of them happens to be mental health,
29:04 that we need to help these kids.
29:06 There's a lot more going on in their life right now
29:09 than possibly when I was a kid, you know,
29:12 and I think a lot of it has to do with this, you know?
29:16 There's a lot of good about this,
29:18 but there's also, if you go in the wrong direction with it,
29:21 it can spoil your day or whatever,
29:24 So, yes, to answer your question.
