01:18 We're not complaining, the power pieces are still seriously stylish.

01:23 Speaking to Hello, Royal style expert Miranda Holder explained that Kate's new business-like

01:28 style is a change heralded in by her new senior position in the firm.

01:32 She said, "Princess Kate's image has definitely taken on a more business-like feel ever since

01:37 she became the Princess of Wales, her more serious wardrobe reflecting the gravitas of

01:41 her heavyweight role within the firm.

01:43 She has literally been rebranded in line with her new level of authority as the Princess

01:47 of Wales and her position as our future Queen."

01:50 Kate has remained faithful to the same fashion formula with her tailoring, choosing neutral

01:54 colors which feel less frivolous than the prints and bright hues of the past, Miranda

01:59 added.

02:00 The change in style also marks a change in the Princess' approach to sharing where

02:04 When she became the Princess of Wales, Buckingham Palace announced that they would no longer

02:08 release the details of her outfits unless it was a particularly special occasion.

02:12 The Palace's announcement, Holder believes, follows the same thought process as Kate's

02:17 new toned-down fashion.

02:18 She said, "In line with the Palace withholding details of her looks, this is most likely

02:22 an attempt to detract from the Princess' fashion and refocus our attention on the cause

02:26 at hand.

02:27 But just because Kate has toned down her looks, that does not mean that they are boring, far

02:31 from it."

02:32 In fact, as many people who have tried to nail the smart casual dress code with a power

02:36 suit will know, the bold cords are incredibly daunting to style, much more so than a pretty

02:41 patterned dress like the blue and green geometric print dress that Kate wore back in 2021.

02:46 But Miranda has some tips and tricks that will make emulating Kate's power suit style

02:51 "The color is make or break, so ensure the shade is flattering and go for a bold, bright

02:55 hue if you dare, keeping accessories tonal or matching to create a striking and contemporary

03:01 "And just because you're stepping out in a suit, that doesn't mean you can't

03:05 keep the look casual and comfortable.

03:06 Don't be afraid of teaming trainers with your look if you need to, the rules have totally

03:10 changed," Miranda says.

03:11 "If you really want to emulate Kate's look, we recommend opting for her favorite

03:15 pair of white sneakers, her fresh white workout shoes from Lululemon, or perhaps her cool

03:20 135-pound white trainers as she wore to play tennis alongside Swiss tennis star Roger Ferderer."

03:26 For accessories, Miranda says, to keep your look bang up to date, add an oversized clutch
