00:17 much larger parcel that comes with a tragic past.

00:20 Some six months following the $3.9 million sale of the 1,772-acre Murdaugh family hunting

00:27 farm, where mother and son Maggie and Paul Murdaugh were found shot dead in 2021, ultimately

00:33 becoming an unsolved murder case that rose to national notoriety, a portion of that property

00:38 now seeks a new set of owners.

00:39 The Moselle Estate House, as described in its listing, has four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms

00:45 and rustic-looking wooden interiors.

00:47 Local farmers James Eyre and Jeffrey Godley purchased the overall Moselle farm site mere

00:51 weeks after the family patriarch and disgraced attorney Alex Murdaugh was convicted of killing

00:56 Maggie and Paul near the farm's dog kennels.

00:59 He was sentenced in March to two life terms for the double murder and maintained his innocence

01:40 That said, hundreds of Murdaugh family belongings from inside the estate house were auctioned

01:45 off in Georgia around the time of Eyre and Godley's purchase.

01:48 Items included lamps fashioned from turtle shells that sold between $500 and $800 apiece,

01:53 as well as the brown leather couch on which Alex Murdaugh claimed he napped the night
