00:00 Outside the stadium of light where Sunderland have been beaten 1-0 by Cardiff City.
00:06 A really frustrating afternoon for Tony Mowbray's side who had won three games in a row coming into this game.
00:13 And were in good form following Wednesday's 3-1 win over Blackburn.
00:17 It was a game today that they dominated for large spells, saw a lot of the ball but just couldn't break Cardiff down who were quite compact.
00:24 Posed a bit of a threat on the counter attack but Sunderland had the best chances in the game. There was one in the first half which fell to Alex Pritchard which was blocked close to the goal line.
00:33 And then Patrick Roberts came off the bench and had a shot which was saved from close range in the second half.
00:38 Mowbray went with the same side today that did beat Blackburn on Wednesday with Abdullah Bar keeping his place and Patrick Roberts on the bench.
00:45 Roberts came on in the second half along with Adil Oshish and Nazir Hussain came on for the last two minutes to make his Sunderland debut but didn't really get too many opportunities.
00:54 And Sunderland had fallen behind at that point. It was a late goal from Cardiff, a set piece which was headed home by defender Mark McGuinness three minutes from time.
01:02 So a real sucker punch for Sunderland who will go again. They are next playing on Friday.
01:07 They will travel to Sheffield on Wednesday so they'll hope to bounce back for that game.
01:12 You can read more about today's match over on the SFC section of the Sunderland Echo website and then we'll have build up to that game against Sheffield Wednesday next week.
