00:00 The vibe is like young black actress, late 60s,
00:04 came for film festival, put the sunglasses.
00:07 - Petri the paparazzi.
00:09 - Love it.
00:10 - Stop, I'm eating my spaghetti.
00:12 Spaghetti.
00:13 - Italian, I'm literally fluent.
00:15 (upbeat music)
00:17 - Well, well, well, Vanity Fair.
00:24 Hello, I'm Aya Debrie and we're gonna get ready
00:28 for Prada together, come on.
00:31 (upbeat music)
00:34 Oh, sorry, I'm taking my migraine medication.
00:43 How I feel honestly right now is tired.
00:47 I'm really jet lagged.
00:48 I couldn't sleep last night.
00:49 I stayed up until 4 a.m.
00:51 And nobody tells you that sometimes you'll get jet lagged
00:54 during these things and that you'll try to sleep
00:57 for a really long time and you can't sleep
00:59 and you feel like a baby,
01:00 even though you're the opposite of a baby.
01:01 You're 27 years old, but positive,
01:04 like tired in a positive way.
01:08 You are banned from the Prada Spring/Summer 2024
01:11 Women's Wear Show, amazing.
01:13 It's my invitation, you don't get to see it.
01:15 You can see the envelope though, private.
01:18 The box, the amazing box.
01:21 - Oh, nice.
01:22 - That's nice.
01:23 - You like that.
01:24 - Keep that out.
01:25 - Prada, simple elegance.
01:27 Kenneth, I'm normal.
01:28 - Oh, it's pretty.
01:29 - I'm kind of always opening everything on the wrong side.
01:31 What's that about?
01:32 - I've noticed, it's a changing perspective.
01:34 - Yeah.
01:35 Well, well, well.
01:36 Oh, hello.
01:37 - Smooth your lips together.
01:45 Gorgeous.
01:47 - Keep looking at me.
01:48 Yeah, there he is.
01:51 Hair and makeup vibes.
01:53 - Well, I think today,
01:54 because of the beautiful outfit that you have
01:57 and with James's hair,
01:58 I think we should just go for very beautiful,
02:00 well-moisturized skin.
02:02 And there's nothing sexier than gorgeous,
02:04 perfected skin that still looks real.
02:05 You don't need much makeup anyway.
02:07 - Oh, stop.
02:08 Stop it.
02:09 Then hair?
02:10 - Kind of, I guess from the pencil skirt,
02:12 getting a bit of a, kind of a late sixties vibe.
02:14 So we wanted something with quite a lot of volume,
02:16 make it kind of more bouncy,
02:18 give it a bit of height at the crown
02:20 and nod to some of the black actresses in the late sixties
02:24 that kind of got a curtain bang going on as well
02:27 to frame her face nicely.
02:29 - I can pretend to speak Italian.
02:31 (speaking Italian)
02:34 I've never been to Milan.
02:42 I've never, me pronouncing it like I'm Italian.
02:44 I've never been to Milan,
02:45 but I've been to Rome when I studied abroad in college
02:48 and we almost got pickpocketed twice
02:51 by two pickpockets who were really bad at pickpocketing,
02:56 which is why we caught them.
02:58 Like we felt like we fully caught two of them
03:01 at two different times.
03:02 We started walking and then these men started chasing us
03:06 and it was really scary.
03:07 We were like, why are these men chasing us?
03:09 And then we ended up in a dead end street
03:11 'cause we didn't know where we were going.
03:12 And the two guys, they like found us
03:14 and we were like, oh my God, like here it is.
03:16 We've met our end in Italy.
03:18 And they were like, so sorry, so sorry.
03:19 We didn't know your names.
03:21 We have a karaoke bar.
03:22 Do you want to come to the karaoke bar and sing?
03:24 So they went to the karaoke bar and they were like,
03:26 please will you sing Michael Jackson?
03:28 And we were like, no.
03:31 And they were like, we'll give you free drinks
03:32 and free food.
03:33 And so then we were like, okay.
03:34 And then we sang Michael Jackson
03:35 and then we got free drinks and free food
03:37 at the karaoke bar.
03:38 - You're so cheap.
03:39 - That's your takeaway from the story, that I'm cheap?
03:42 - You sung for a, what, slice of pizza and a drink?
03:45 - Multiple free pizzas and multiple free drinks.
03:48 And also we were just hanging out
03:49 with these strange Italian people
03:51 and it was actually really fun.
03:52 - That's very trusting of you though.
03:53 How old were you?
03:55 - 19 or 20.
03:56 - Wow.
03:57 - That's the sort of thing that can happen
03:58 when you're like 19 or 20.
03:59 - 'Cause you're fearless at 19.
04:00 You're like, yeah, whatever.
04:01 - I definitely was full of fear.
04:04 I was also just stupid at the same time.
04:06 I'm gonna go to a full mirror.
04:10 - I definitely think we need the outfit on
04:12 to see how everything's looking.
04:13 'Cause then you'll see how it goes around the neckline
04:15 and all that kind of stuff.
04:17 - Okay, cool.
04:17 Lately, what am I wearing a lot of?
04:23 Like a big pant.
04:24 Like I just like to wear like a big pant.
04:26 That's like a go-to.
04:27 And it's soon gonna be fall
04:30 and I'll get to wear like sweaters.
04:32 I'm an incredibly boring person.
04:33 I'm so sorry.
04:34 I just wanna wear sweaters and big pant.
04:35 That's all I got.
04:36 Today, what am I wearing to the show?
04:40 I'm wearing like a nice, well, you'll see it.
04:42 Well, you'll see it.
04:43 Do you want me to tell you or do you wanna see it?
04:44 You know what I mean?
04:45 (upbeat music)
04:47 I think like a little tighter, maybe.
04:51 - Yeah.
04:52 - Yeah.
04:53 Yeah, I think.
04:54 - Oh, you're good.
04:56 - Oh, stop.
04:56 Come on.
04:57 - Yeah.
04:58 - Stop, I'm shy.
04:59 (upbeat music)
05:14 - Do you like musicals?
05:15 Do you like like "Sondheim"?
05:16 Madeline Kahn doing "Not Getting Married Today".
05:18 No feet for free.
05:19 You'll see the shoes I'm in, but not the toes.
05:22 No feet for free.
05:24 (upbeat music)
05:27 It's just like a lovely, really nice satin two-piece.
05:35 Just feels very sleek.
05:36 - Hi, I was up here, buddy.
05:38 Yeah, I'm excited.
05:39 (laughing)
05:40 - Oh my God, I'm late as hell.
05:42 This is real because now we're rushing,
05:44 but thanks for coming.
05:46 I'm ready now.
05:47 Okay, bye.
05:49 Fashion.
05:50 (upbeat music)
05:52 - Okay, bye, baby.
05:57 - Bye, see you.
05:59 (camera shutter)
06:02 (upbeat music)
