00:00 All right, but make today is Thursday. It's September 21st.
00:02 Welcome to the dog walk presented by Barstool Sports.
00:05 In studio guest today is Nikki Smokes.
00:08 If you don't know Nikki Smokes, Nikki Smokes is, I believe, our newest
00:11 and one of our youngest employees.
00:14 Yes, definitely. One of the youngest.
00:16 I don't know about newest.
00:17 I don't know who has been hired here since me, but I would definitely say
00:21 I'm like the freshest meat in the deli.
00:23 I would I would agree.
00:25 That's a good way to put that. Yeah.
00:26 That's like I'm all the way in the back.
00:28 Yeah, they're hiding.
00:30 We haven't even pulled you out of the freezer yet.
00:33 Regardless, Nikki Smokes, welcome, man.
00:36 I usually have a lot of the new people on.
00:39 Just do a little one on one with them, see what they're about and just kind of
00:42 almost an introduction podcast for for Barstool.
00:46 So you've in your own way been able to make some
00:50 some waves out of the gate, though.
00:52 Yeah, really not in the in the in the freezer of the deli. No.
00:57 Yeah, no, I mean, I've made waves since I got here, honestly, from my first day.
01:01 And it's been pretty crazy, to be honest with you.
01:05 I feel like I didn't go out of my way to make those waves, though.
01:10 It was kind of the second I walked in here,
01:12 there was like five articles written about me.
01:15 And then I had guys like KFC, like bringing up my contract, etc., etc.
01:20 And I just felt it was appropriate for me to address that.
01:23 You know, like I didn't come here looking for problems,
01:26 but if people wanted problems with me, I wasn't going to just get stepped on.
01:30 You know, like I was going to stand up for myself.
01:32 Yeah, there was no back and down in your eyes. Yeah, no, ignore it.
01:35 You figured the best way to address it is head on, which typically
01:39 it works well for from an audience perspective.
01:42 It works well from, you know, engagement and whatnot.
01:45 But then obviously you do have to work with these people.
01:48 So that's where it like it's a little muddied when situations like that arise.
01:52 No, 100 percent.
01:53 But I think I've done a good job since just being here
01:57 is building relationships with people that I actually work with, like face to face.
02:01 I don't have any problems with anyone I work with and anyone that's ever hung out
02:05 with me outside of the office or even in the office.
02:07 They all have good things to say about me.
02:09 It's just more so the people that, you know, they might be in the New York office
02:13 and all they hear about is the punk South Florida kid parking in any spot.
02:17 But, you know, they don't know, like the back story towards it or, you know,
02:20 they just they've never met me before.
02:22 Yeah. Well, let's start at the beginning here for people that really don't know
02:25 that maybe just casually listen to the show or casually follow Barstow.
02:28 So you got this job.
02:31 You were 23 years old.
02:32 You made a bet with Portnoy that if the heat knocked out the Celtics,
02:37 you would get a full time job. Yes.
02:39 So it all started when I had that bills rant when the Dolphins beat the bills
02:44 and I was cursing at all these bills fans.
02:46 Not my best video, but it went viral.
02:49 You were being an asshole.
02:50 Yeah, I was being a fucking dick.
02:51 Like that video is one of my biggest regrets.
02:54 But really, it also kind of.
02:55 Yeah, because that game just meant so much to me as a Dolphins fan,
03:00 because Buffalo always comes into our stadium and takes over it.
03:04 And their social media team, they put out a video of all these bill fans
03:08 on a flight over here, and they were enjoying their flight
03:11 on the way to Miami, thinking they're going to come in and whoop her ass.
03:14 Yeah. And then we beat them.
03:16 And the first thing I could think about was just enjoy that flight home,
03:19 like enjoy that flight home, back home.
03:21 And it was I was very drunk.
03:23 It was a crazy game.
03:25 The Dolphins won.
03:26 And then I posted that video, not even knowing what I said in the video.
03:30 And I got back to my car, which is a one minute walk on like here in Chicago
03:34 where it takes you 45 minutes to get back to your car.
03:37 Yeah. And I opened it up and it had like 500 likes in less than two minutes.
03:41 And I was like, oh, my God, like, what did I say here?
03:44 And I listened back to it and it just got to a point where it was too late.
03:48 And then later that night, Dave Portnoy quote, tweeted the tweet and said,
03:52 this guy sucks. So I was like, now I'm never working at Barstool.
03:55 I'm never going to get that job.
03:57 And what's your intention to work here before that?
03:59 Yeah. My my dream job was to always work here.
04:01 So I started my own business business back in the day.
04:05 It was just me posting videos and I call it Smoke Sports.
04:08 That's how I got the name Smoke, because I wanted it to get big
04:11 to the point where Dave would just buy me out.
04:13 And then like that would be my way into Barstool,
04:17 because I gave him one of my business cards once when I was like 18,
04:20 because he needed a Kobe Bryant jersey.
04:23 The one that he was wearing with that crackhead in Miami.
04:26 The I was there for the arms. Pizza review.
04:28 Yeah, I was standing next to Dana Beers live while that happened.
04:32 No shit. He's wearing my Kobe Bryant jersey in that video.
04:35 OK, so the first time I met Dave, I was so scared to even show him
04:39 one of my videos.
04:40 I just gave him my business card right before I left
04:42 and he probably threw it right out.
04:44 But then fast forward, that Bill's video happened.
04:46 And then I went to Buffalo.
04:48 I met the chef and I posted the picture.
04:50 And Dave was like, this kid is on an insane redemption tour right now.
04:54 And then he followed me.
04:56 And I was like, all right, this is my moment.
04:57 Like he's going to give me the job.
04:59 Never heard from him for three months.
05:01 And then he starts tweeting at me in the middle of the Celtics
05:05 heat game, game six, where Derek White hits that fluke layup.
05:09 And I woke up the next morning and he sent me a message and he said,
05:12 do you want to bet game seven?
05:14 And I said, absolutely.
05:15 The rest was history.
05:17 So I all right.
05:18 I did not know the deeper backstory.
05:21 So let's go there.
05:22 So you start smoke sports at 18.
05:24 Yeah. So I was 18 years old.
05:26 I had just I was at Florida State.
05:28 I moved back home, went to FAU.
05:31 And, you know, you go to college and it's like, oh, I want to be a lawyer.
05:35 And then you find out you have to do another four years of school
05:37 or eight years of school if you want to be a doctor.
05:39 I'm like, all right, I don't want to do that.
05:41 What do I want to do?
05:42 I like making videos.
05:42 I like being in front of the camera.
05:44 I like talking about sports.
05:45 And I always wanted to work for Barstool.
05:47 I mean, since I was like 17, 18 years old,
05:50 and I was just watching Gary Vee at the time, like during covid and shit.
05:53 And he's like, if you want to get hired by some company,
05:56 follow everyone in the company and post a bunch of fucking videos.
05:59 And then maybe they'll call your name one day.
06:01 So that's what I did.
06:02 But instead of just making it Nick Longley, I just called it smoke sports.
06:07 And then that's how that kind of like took off.
06:10 OK, so you did that and then you followed everyone.
06:14 You're kind of looking for an end.
06:15 Right. Right after Kobe dies.
06:17 Dave was asking for a Kobe jersey or how did that go down?
06:20 So like I said, I followed everyone.
06:22 I listened to Gary Vee. I followed everyone.
06:24 And it was Dana Beers.
06:26 He sent he sent out a tweet.
06:27 He said, does anyone in Miami have a Kobe Bryant jersey?
06:30 And I responded to him so fast that he thought I was like a bot.
06:35 Like I was like a real account.
06:37 I was like, no, dude, like I'm a real person like here.
06:39 Like here's a picture of the Kobe Bryant jersey.
06:40 Like I'll be there in 30 minutes.
06:42 And then boom, like that's what happened.
06:44 No, she knew you just genuinely had one or do you know?
06:47 I had one. I had one. I had one. Yeah.
06:49 All right. So you go there.
06:50 You gave Dave your business card.
06:51 You didn't want to listen to anything yet.
06:53 And then that's where communication cuts off.
06:54 Yeah. So like completely dead.
06:56 So I got spiders number because I was really talking to Dana and spider.
07:01 And Dave was just there.
07:02 Like I didn't want to bother him. Yeah.
07:03 And I was also like shitting my pants.
07:05 I was starstruck like to a certain extent.
07:08 But I got spiders number and I feel bad for spider
07:10 because I would go out at like 10, 11 o'clock, whatever.
07:14 And I'm drunk texting spider.
07:17 Give me a fucking job like I hate my job.
07:20 I'm like blowing up spiders phone.
07:22 I like 10, 11 o'clock at night, like trying to get in the door.
07:25 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
07:27 Yeah. I mean, you know, trust me, you're not the only person to the spider.
07:30 I'm sure the spiders an odd job kind of guy he was for a while.
07:33 Like I know he'd do a lot of that for the
07:36 the pro football show or the college football show where he would drive
07:39 like three hours to Jersey to get like a Michael Pittman.
07:43 You know what I mean?
07:43 Just like random jerseys he would have to find for like the mortal lock.
07:48 So that's not unusual to spider.
07:51 I'm sure. But so it goes to that.
07:54 And then the first time you get on his radar was through that.
07:58 So he followed you after the jersey. Go back.
07:59 Sorry. He followed.
08:00 No. So after the jersey,
08:02 I probably didn't even know what the fuck my name was by the time I left.
08:05 Like that's how little I said today.
08:07 Yeah. No shot.
08:08 No shot. He took my business card, probably threw it on the floor
08:11 the second I got in my car.
08:13 So I would say I got on his radar.
08:15 Crazy business cards at 18.
08:17 Yeah. And I don't know what the fuck I mean.
08:20 Hey, I was doing everything. You're hustling.
08:22 Yeah. You had a you had a way to go about it in mind.
08:27 Like you had you had a path. Exactly.
08:30 And you're in your head.
08:30 Yes. Even though it might have not made sense, but made sense to you.
08:34 It worked. It made sense to you.
08:35 18 years old. Dickie Smokes. Right. Yeah, exactly.
08:37 So the first time I would say I got on his radar
08:41 was that Bill's video of me being an asshole.
08:44 And but it was like in the worst way.
08:46 Like, I never thought I'd ever get hired by Barstool because of that video.
08:50 But then I went back to Buffalo
08:53 and I met the chef that like I told to go fuck himself.
08:57 And he was like the coolest guy ever.
08:59 He's like, dude, like I didn't even think about it when I left the stadium.
09:02 He's like my niece or nephew sent him the video.
09:06 And that's the only way that he saw it.
09:08 But when I posted that picture of me and the chef, Dave saw it
09:12 and he like quote tweeted it and said, this kid is on one hell of a redemption tour.
09:16 And then he followed me.
09:18 So I'm thinking to myself, I'm like, all right, like, is my job coming?
09:21 Like, why is Dave Portnoy following me?
09:23 Like, what's going on?
09:24 Yeah, this is what I've waited for my whole life.
09:27 And then the heat played the Celtics and he just started
09:31 tweeting at me in the middle of the game, like talking shit.
09:33 I was like, all right, perfect.
09:35 Like, this is what I want.
09:36 Like, I got like I'm on his radar now.
09:38 And then luckily, Derek White put that shot in and I won the bet.
09:43 And then so the bet was game seven, whoever if you obviously if the heat wins.
09:48 What was the what was the opposite?
09:49 So the bet was heat when I get a job here,
09:52 if they lost, I had to get a Dave was right tattoo.
09:56 Oh, no shit.
09:57 And it was like a three leaf clover.
09:59 No shit. I was going to put it on my ass.
10:01 But no, the craziest part about that is is like my friends and my family,
10:05 they were all asking.
10:06 They said, what if the heat lose?
10:08 Like, do you still think he's going to give you the job?
10:10 And I said, I really don't think so.
10:11 Like, I don't know.
10:13 I was like, maybe down the line.
10:15 I was like, maybe down the line.
10:17 But I don't think I would have got it.
10:19 Yeah, I don't know if he would have.
10:20 No, I think he was just like a bet to bet to him.
10:23 Yeah. I mean, he quote, he's like, I guess we got a South Florida guy now.
10:26 That's what he said after the heat won.
10:28 After he won, he had crazy kind of roots to the whole story with you and Dave
10:34 starts like starts good.
10:37 Like he likes that a guy who would do anything
10:39 to give him a jersey and just race there and get his name in the hat.
10:42 But, you know, there's been so many people who've done that.
10:45 Like I remember when he was first looking for a guy, like he had a guy off
10:48 and someone brought him like underwear.
10:51 I think it was some brought him because he only wears Dolce and Gabbana underwear.
10:54 And so I brought it to his hotel in L.A.
10:58 So like shit like that, like people do do that shit.
11:00 So, I mean, that's good.
11:02 But you that didn't stand out, obviously.
11:05 No. So then you go down in the dumps with that.
11:08 What did you say to the chef?
11:08 She just told the chef to fuck off at the at the.
11:10 No. So I mean, you want me to say it verbatim?
11:13 Uh, sure. I mean, I'm sure he's going to splice it in the video version of YouTube.
11:19 I was screaming at my phone like this.
11:21 Enjoy that flight home, pussy.
11:23 Enjoy that flight home, pussy.
11:24 And then I was walking towards the railing and like the chefs right here.
11:29 And like there's an opening and I'm about to like just walk past them.
11:32 And then like someone walks into me and I bump into him.
11:35 And then but on video, I'm holding it like this.
11:38 So it kind of looks like I just like hit on myself.
11:41 And I was like, enjoy that flight home.
11:43 And he's like, fuck you.
11:44 And I was like, fuck you.
11:45 And then. Yeah.
11:47 And then, yeah.
11:48 Enjoy that flight home, pussy.
11:51 Enjoy that flight home.
11:53 And fuck you.
11:54 Let's go.
11:55 Not my best moment.
11:56 Sure. But I think, Nick,
11:57 I think that's where we kind of sit here today and you're like, well, why did why did I start so rocky?
12:02 Why was the thing so bumpy?
12:03 So that's a tough, tough look.
12:06 Yeah. Off initial impression to people.
12:08 Right. Yeah.
12:09 And then the second thing was people were obsessed with you starting at one hundred K.
12:15 Yeah. Right.
12:16 Not obsessed.
12:17 We won't say that.
12:18 But like people were rubbed the wrong way.
12:20 People have been at the company.
12:21 Maybe we're making a hundred K.
12:22 We're like, yo, what the fuck?
12:23 Like what's going on?
12:24 Sure. You know.
12:25 So what?
12:25 But the thing about the hundred K is, is, you know, I love Barstool.
12:30 I never wanted to work for Barstool so I could have one point five million followers or make eight hundred thousand dollars a year.
12:38 I just believe in the culture of the company.
12:40 Yeah. Like being able to wake up and come here and talk about sports with you or hop in front of a microphone every now and then.
12:46 Like, that's enough from like that.
12:48 That's the shit that makes me happy.
12:50 And when me and Dave were going back on the bet, I told him I would work for a thousand dollars a week.
12:55 He's the one who offered me a hundred K.
12:57 And that was part of the terms to the bet, too.
13:00 Yeah.
13:00 He was.
13:01 I told Dave, I said, look, I don't like I'm not here for the money.
13:04 I said I'll work for a thousand dollars a week.
13:07 I told him that it's I have it in DM.
13:09 But he was like, no, fuck this.
13:11 He's yeah.
13:11 He said, I'll give you a hundred K.
13:12 What do you want me to say to that?
13:14 No, like no one's going to say no to that.
13:17 Yeah.
13:17 Why would you?
13:18 Yeah.
13:19 So I think people who are angry about that should take it up with him.
13:25 Personally, like that's the only way to look at it.
13:27 Like, it's not your fault that you got to offer what you all got offered.
13:30 And they feel like they should have got that, too.
13:33 They should, you know, go about that with him.
13:35 And like my thing is, too, it's like I put a piece of my body on the line.
13:39 Like I imagine if I lost and I had to walk around with a Dave was right tattoo on my ass for the rest of my life.
13:45 Yeah. You would skin in the game quite literally.
13:47 Yeah.
13:47 So I got you, dude.
13:50 I got you.
13:51 But so that's where it's like from the fan base perspective, the video obviously tough and anyone might get like that wasn't a good look.
13:59 And people like is that you, though?
14:01 Like no.
14:01 And that's the thing that kind of sucks is because all my content leading up before that was quite the opposite.
14:07 You know, like I've helped raise thousands of dollars for to his foundation.
14:11 Like I've sent every single year I send a kid who's never been to a Dolphins game to their first Dolphins game.
14:16 Every Christmas I'll do a giveaway and give kids like a Dolphins jersey if they've never had one before.
14:21 So that one video and it's just kind of like, again, I watch a lot of Gary V content, but it's like when I walk into that stadium, it's like that alter ego like takes over me.
14:33 It's like that diehard sports fan.
14:36 Plus, you've been drinking, you know, and your adrenaline is rushing and I feel like I'm out there on the field.
14:42 I feel like I'm on the field on third down, fourth down.
14:45 And I take it all so personal.
14:46 But outside of that, I mean, even when I went to Buffalo, like just walking around the street there, like I thought you would be a completely different person.
14:54 And it's just kind of more so like when I'm in my football environment in the stadium like that, like something just takes over.
15:04 But since then, like that that video is probably a blessing because like I'll never act like that again in a stadium.
15:10 And it's kind of like I needed that reality check where it's like, hey, like you can't just be walking around talking to people like this thing.
15:17 It's a good thing.
15:18 And unfortunately for me, the one video that did go extremely viral is me looking like a complete asshole.
15:26 But yeah, and that's tough.
15:28 And unfortunately, like society, I don't want to say rewards that behavior, but like that's what kind of they kind of do in a sense.
15:36 Right.
15:37 For sure.
15:37 But, you know, I don't want to say this in like a negative light, but if I was a Philly fan, it probably would have been received completely different.
15:45 It's an interesting point.
15:46 You know, it was just more so like, oh, it's a Dolphins fan.
15:50 They finally win a game because look, what I did was wrong.
15:53 I'm not justifying it, but there's a lot of.
15:55 So you look like you were a dick.
15:56 Now you look like.
15:57 No, I was one.
15:58 One million.
15:59 One million percent.
16:00 I'm not here to dispute that.
16:02 Yeah.
16:02 But there's a lot of other shit that is said and done at football games that are way worse.
16:08 Like I've seen people get you see people get knocked out all the time at games.
16:12 You see, you know, I mean, there's a lot worse.
16:15 Don't get me wrong.
16:16 I was one hundred one thousand percent a dick.
16:19 Yeah.
16:20 But like I've been going to games since I was literally three years old.
16:23 Yeah.
16:23 So like I've seen some crazy like I've seen some crazy shit for sure.
16:28 Now, but do you feel like that that video has instilled in people where you just make a video that's emotional about Daniel Ramsey going down or about, you know, some other type of dolphins happening?
16:40 And they're like, man, they can't get that sour taste out of their mouth.
16:44 Or have you seen that or what do you think?
16:45 I mean, look, there's always going to be people that don't like you.
16:49 Yeah.
16:49 Like no matter what you do, no matter like how hard you try.
16:52 And I've learned literally from my first week in this business that not everyone's going to like you and you just got to accept that.
16:59 Like you can't please everybody.
17:00 So, I mean, when I went to Buffalo, I mean, those people treated me as if I was like an A-list celebrity.
17:08 It was unbelievable.
17:09 Pictures, this, that, drinks, food, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
17:13 So I've made amends with, I'd say at least 80 percent of the people in Buffalo.
17:18 And I love going to Buffalo and I'm going to Buffalo next week or the week after when we play them.
17:23 I think it's week four.
17:24 So I can't wait to go back.
17:26 But I mean, just in regards to Twitter, I mean, why do I care about what Mr. Egghead420069 like has to say about me?
17:35 You can't please anyone.
17:37 I mean, you've been in here for a while.
17:38 Like people will give their left nut to be where we are.
17:42 And like whether this works out for me after this year or not, like.
17:47 I'm very grateful to be where I'm at, and I'm not just going to let people that don't like me ruin this experience for me.
17:54 Yeah, you can't.
17:55 You can't.
17:55 Yeah, I think I think I think what you said kind of makes sense, so you just got to be and there is a market for the heel.
18:06 Yeah, there is a market for the heel, dude.
18:08 Yeah, there is.
18:10 The heel is tough, though, because naturally I'm not a heel.
18:14 You don't feel like a heel.
18:16 You're a charitable guy from what you said earlier on.
18:18 Right. Well, you don't think you're a heel.
18:20 You don't view yourself in that.
18:21 I'm a heel when it comes to like talking shit about the Miami Dolphins or talking shit about rival teams.
18:28 Yeah, I'm a heel there.
18:29 There's no doubt about it.
18:30 But I'm not a heel on like if you catch me walking down the street and you're like, hey, can you buy me a taco or something?
18:36 Like I'm the type of guy that like, yeah, I'll go.
18:38 I'll go buy you a taco.
18:40 Interesting.
18:40 But when I hear you were like, I walked into my office and I've been for years on Monday, a couple Monday or last Monday.
18:49 And, you know, I was I was carrying my teeth in my pocket.
18:53 I had no wallet after what the Packers did to the Bears.
18:55 And you were smiling at my ass, which is like it was like a genuine smile because I already knew you were in the dumps.
19:03 And I was just like, I'm not going to talk shit.
19:05 I don't want to be like, what did I tell you?
19:07 I told I was just kind of just smiling.
19:10 I thought that was the easiest way for me to sympathize.
19:14 Yeah, it was interesting.
19:15 I fucking sympathize, sympathize.
19:17 Don't worry. I say shit wrong all the time.
19:19 But you're right.
19:20 It was it was kind of funny.
19:21 You were the first person I saw.
19:23 And I was like, genuinely, like, really fucking.
19:26 I didn't know you get rallied up like that.
19:28 Yeah, man.
19:28 The Bears, the Bears mean a lot to me and a lot of people in the city.
19:31 And it's funny because I've been so accustomed to I walk in here.
19:35 I have an office with eight to ten people and it's all Chicago Bears fans and everyone's in the same building pot.
19:41 And now it's yeah.
19:42 And now people from all over the place.
19:43 I was like, holy fuck, it was definitely a things are different now, buddy.
19:48 You know, it was for myself, who, like you said, who's you know, this has been my home for a long time, right?
19:54 For a couple of this location, at least for a couple of years.
19:57 So it was interesting.
19:58 Has that been tough for you?
20:00 What what's that like having all these other?
20:03 No, I think like I keep saying, everyone is at the toughest part is just the space is just kind of, you know, we're just here is terrible.
20:09 Yeah, we're just all over each other right now.
20:11 But it's temporary, dude.
20:12 And, you know, a couple more weeks, it's going to go by.
20:15 We're going to get the big off.
20:16 It's going to be a lot better.
20:16 So that'll be good.
20:18 I don't know.
20:19 It's changes.
20:21 You just got to adapt to it.
20:22 You know, like I think a lot of people and I get asked it all the time.
20:26 And I think I answer it different every time.
20:28 Now I'm kind of like in the boat where people are trying to make it like some big thing because they want it to be like some like negative thing and they want like a reaction.
20:37 But, you know, it is it is what it is.
20:39 Like, sure, there's like stuff that I don't love as much.
20:43 Sir, there's but there's going to be things that come out of this that I'm going to be really happy about.
20:49 And it's going to be sweet.
20:50 So it is what it is.
20:51 It's just a new chapter of Barstool.
20:53 This is the third office I'm going to be working out of.
20:56 And there's going to be there should be good stuff.
20:58 There's no bad stuff.
20:59 That's just the way it is.
21:00 And I'm going to keep chugging along.
21:01 That's how I feel about moving up here.
21:03 Yeah, I'm sure.
21:04 I mean, I I love it in Chicago.
21:07 You do.
21:07 I don't want to go back home.
21:09 Really?
21:10 Like, that's how much I love it.
21:11 Well, I want to look into that in a second.
21:13 I want to I want to toss you some right here.
21:14 I want to toss you this rowback sweatshirt.
21:16 And I want you to tell the people how comfortable that thing is.
21:19 This thing is very comfortable.
21:21 Tell them.
21:21 Tell them.
21:22 This is this is the hoodie that if you give to your girlfriend,
21:25 you're never getting back.
21:26 That's how comfortable that's a good way to put it.
21:29 That's a good way to put it.
21:30 And I'm going to keep this because you have.
21:32 Here you go.
21:33 All right.
21:33 You keep it now.
21:34 It's my size.
21:35 It might not fit a little bit, but, you know, a little snug little.
21:37 Yeah, it's a perfect snuggle.
21:38 Yeah, you'll be good.
21:39 So, hey, that's rowback, guys.
21:41 That's a rowback performance hoodie.
21:42 Simply put, they're the softest, stretchiest hoodies out there.
21:45 And you'll be living in these things this fall.
21:47 Go give them a chance.
21:48 Also, they just released their performance crew neck.
21:51 A lot of people are crew neck, guys.
21:53 I like for both men and women.
21:55 They're breathable yet so comfortable.
21:57 They're the perfect crew neck for a crisp fall morning while
22:01 you're on the move or having a relaxing weekend.
22:04 And finally, you guys know we love the performance joggers.
22:07 You got to get on the jogger.
22:08 I need joggers, dude.
22:09 Bad rowback.
22:10 I got you a promo code here at the end.
22:12 Please.
22:12 They're made to move in, and they're incredibly comfortable.
22:15 And they're at least odds are, at least one of us are wearing them at all times.
22:20 Che was wearing them during the snake draft on Monday.
22:22 So that's just the way it is.
22:23 Rowback is always around the Barstool office, whether it's Chicago or New York.
22:27 So kick your fall off right.
22:29 Use the promo code dog on rowback.com for 20% off your first purchase through
22:34 the end of this week.
22:35 That's spelled RHOBACK.com.
22:37 That's 20% off all performance hoodies.
22:39 Crew neck joggers with code dog.
22:42 Like I said, it does end sometime tomorrow.
22:46 So make sure you're hopping on this.
22:48 Do it ASAP because you don't want to miss out on rowback.
22:51 20% off.
22:51 So generous beginning promo code.
22:54 So hop in.
22:54 Promo code dog.
22:55 Rowback is awesome.
22:56 Go use them.
22:57 So you're enjoying it.
22:59 That's interesting.
23:00 I love it in Chicago.
23:01 I can't get over it.
23:03 I love the city.
23:04 It's so clean.
23:05 I love the people.
23:06 The Midwest people are just so genuine down to Earth.
23:09 I love my job.
23:12 It's just I love everything about.
23:14 I've never now it is summertime.
23:17 So I've never been able to walk out of my house and it be 68 70
23:22 degrees in July, August, September.
23:24 That's insane to me.
23:25 But it feels like a whole new part of my life has just started
23:31 moving here.
23:32 And maybe I'm still in my honeymoon phase and I haven't had my
23:35 first winter yet.
23:36 But just like the way everything moves and I don't know.
23:40 I'm just very happy here.
23:41 Yeah.
23:42 I mean, listen, you are totally in your honeymoon phase.
23:44 A thousand percent. I'll tell you, the winter sucks.
23:47 There's not a lot of silver linings to it.
23:50 I mean, it'll be cool.
23:51 I think you'll maybe get to appreciate the first change of
23:54 the seasons because you live in Miami whole life.
23:56 There's no season.
23:57 It's summer, summer, summer, summer, summer.
23:59 Yeah.
23:59 And you'll get to appreciate that a little bit, I think.
24:02 Right.
24:03 It'll be.
24:03 But the novelty will definitely wear off, I think, after a year.
24:07 Yeah.
24:07 My friend was like, fall is coming.
24:08 I'm like, once fall.
24:09 How long does that last?
24:11 Yeah.
24:12 What is fall?
24:13 That's interesting, dude.
24:14 Yeah.
24:14 I've never had it.
24:15 That's a very interesting perspective.
24:17 So, yeah, I think your first snow.
24:20 Have you seen snow?
24:21 I've seen snow one time.
24:22 When?
24:23 I went to Pittsburgh for a Dolphins playoff game.
24:26 Oh, no shit.
24:26 Yeah.
24:27 Go figure.
24:27 What did you think of it?
24:28 I liked it.
24:30 I mean, when it's your first time seeing it, I think I was
24:33 like 17 at the time, 18 at the time.
24:34 You feel like you're four again.
24:36 So I'm diving in snow piles.
24:38 Like, we ran out of the airport, start throwing snowballs
24:41 at each other.
24:41 It was fun.
24:43 It was fun.
24:44 But I could see how living in it and, like, shoveling snow
24:48 out of your driveway could be measurable.
24:50 Fucking sucks.
24:50 Yeah.
24:51 I'm good on that.
24:52 It sucks, man.
24:53 It's one of those things, too, where you don't get to fully
24:55 enjoy it either, because it's not like we are in Denver
24:59 where if you're a ski head, you can go ski.
25:02 Right.
25:02 It's like you just have to move it and put it out of your
25:05 way. And you got to wear these boots and you're tracking
25:07 in and out of your house and shoveling sucks dick.
25:10 But it does look pretty.
25:12 It does look pretty.
25:13 It does make the city look pretty.
25:15 When I went to Buffalo for the only time I ever see snow
25:19 is when I go to see the Dolphins play in the playoffs.
25:20 Makes sense.
25:21 And I went to Buffalo and I thought I was in the North Pole.
25:25 I mean, they're just snow everywhere on the trees, the driveways,
25:30 the houses.
25:31 It was amazing.
25:32 It was beautiful.
25:33 Yeah, it's a lot.
25:34 It's a lot.
25:35 But we'll see.
25:35 I mean, like you said, though, overall, it feels like you
25:39 sound like you're in a good spot when it comes to your job
25:42 and everything, how that goes.
25:44 So maybe you won't be bothered by it.
25:47 No, I mean, I'll definitely be bothered by it.
25:50 I got alligator blood.
25:51 Yeah.
25:51 And you'll want to get back.
25:53 Do you like that's the goal, though, at some point, though,
25:55 right? Would you want to get back to Miami?
25:57 Are you like?
25:58 No.
25:58 I mean, my goal is to just keep getting extended here.
26:02 They want me here, be here.
26:04 And if they don't want me here, like, yeah, I'll go back
26:07 home. But did you want to do the New York office?
26:10 No, there's no chance in hell I was going to New York.
26:12 Really?
26:12 Why did Chicago intrigue you more than New York?
26:15 Well, one, I knew all the sports guys were coming here.
26:18 And two, I hate the city of New York.
26:21 I hate the state of New York.
26:23 I do like Western New York, though.
26:24 Shout out Western New York.
26:26 But New York City itself is a fucking dump.
26:28 And I came here once for one of my friends bachelor's
26:33 party, and I was blown away by how clean the city was.
26:36 So when Dave offered me New York or Chicago, it was a
26:40 no brainer.
26:41 I was coming to Chicago the whole time.
26:43 There was no way in hell I was going to New York.
26:45 Interesting.
26:46 Yeah.
26:46 I'd rather have worked from home than I've gone to New
26:51 York. Really?
26:52 Yeah.
26:52 Really?
26:53 I would never live there.
26:54 Well, at least you had a little test of the city, too,
26:57 for a weekend.
26:57 So you kind of knew what you're getting into a little bit
27:00 at least.
27:00 Also, something, Nikki, we've talked about this before off
27:05 mic, and I don't know if it made it into our still scenes.
27:08 And you mentioned it on one of the podcasts, at least.
27:11 You grew up in Fort Lauderdale, right?
27:14 Yeah.
27:14 So you went to school out there.
27:16 Well, I grew up in the suburbs, but I tell everyone Fort
27:20 Lauderdale because no one's really familiar.
27:23 What suburb you grew up in?
27:24 Parkland.
27:24 Parkland.
27:25 Yeah.
27:25 And obviously there's no easy way to talk about this, but
27:29 you did go to Douglas.
27:30 You said Marjory Stoneman Douglas.
27:32 And we talked about this a little bit previous before we
27:35 did the podcast.
27:37 You, unfortunately, knew a lot of people that were at the
27:41 school that day when things happened.
27:43 Yeah.
27:43 So I graduated high school in 2017, and the shooting was the
27:48 following year in 2018.
27:50 And at the time, I was in college at UCF.
27:53 And I remember I was playing pickup basketball with my
27:56 friends, and we had just came back from the gym.
27:59 And we're sitting in our apartment, and I'm scrolling
28:02 on Twitter, and Douglas is trending.
28:06 And I'm like, is this some kind of joke?
28:08 Because it's Parkland, Florida.
28:09 It's a very safe, well-off neighborhood.
28:13 And we click on it, and it's talking about a school
28:15 shooting.
28:17 I'm like, you need to turn the news on right now.
28:19 And we turn it on, and the next thing you know, it's my
28:21 high school.
28:22 And there's helicopters flying around the school.
28:25 And the first thing I did was call my sister, who was at--
28:29 she was still at Douglas.
28:31 And I called her, like freaking out.
28:32 She said, I'm OK.
28:33 I'm OK.
28:34 Luckily, my sister, she had left earlier that day, because
28:37 she had knee surgery on her knee.
28:39 But had she not have had that surgery, her classroom, in her
28:43 period, her teacher was shot and killed in the face.
28:47 Some of her classmates were also killed.
28:50 And I lost my football coach, Coach Feiss.
28:55 He ran into the building unarmed, no gun, while our
28:59 school resource officer sat outside with a gun and did
29:02 nothing like a fucking pussy coward he is.
29:05 And our football coach went in there unarmed, and he was
29:09 shot and killed.
29:10 Same thing with our athletic director.
29:13 My friend Joaquin, shot and killed as well.
29:17 And Meadow Pollock, rest in peace.
29:20 I was very, very close with her and her family.
29:23 I still am to this day.
29:25 And they identified her by her fingernail, because the sick
29:30 fuck that shot up the school shot her 17 times.
29:33 It might have been a little more than 17.
29:36 And they identified her by a fingernail.
29:38 -Jesus.
29:39 -And it was terrible.
29:42 I mean, I remember once everything happened, me and
29:48 these two girls that I went to high school with, we drove
29:52 home, and the second we got into Parkland, you could feel
29:57 it, you could feel the death in the air.
30:00 You could feel like--
30:02 the second we even drove in, I started crying.
30:07 You just felt it.
30:08 I can't explain it.
30:10 And then just having to go to--
30:13 I think I went to four funerals, five
30:15 funerals in two days.
30:18 And then just seeing all these people's families, it's
30:24 fucked up, bro.
30:25 And never in a million years did I ever think that would
30:28 happen at my high school.
30:30 But the most fucked up part is when I heard that there was a
30:33 shooting, I already knew who the shooter was before the
30:39 whole world did.
30:40 I knew it.
30:42 A bunch of us that grew up there together, we knew it was
30:45 that kid before the police even found out it was that kid.
30:49 -Generally, you just felt it in your gut that that was--
30:51 -Yeah, that kid would walk around, because growing up
30:54 there, you go to Westglades Middle School, then you go to
30:58 Douglas, or you go to Coral Springs Middle School, and
31:00 then you go to Douglas.
31:00 So I went to Westglades, and that kid went to Westglades.
31:04 And I'll never say his name.
31:06 -And he was your age, right?
31:07 -No, he was a year younger, a year younger.
31:11 And he would run around the school pulling the fire
31:13 alarms, opening the door, saying the N-word.
31:17 There was something wrong with this kid.
31:19 And everyone knew it from the beginning.
31:22 So that's why when I heard about it, I already knew it
31:26 was him before they had his face all over the place.
31:29 -Yeah.
31:30 And just because he misbehaved like that?
31:33 -Yeah, you could just tell.
31:34 It's not often you have a 12-year-old kid running
31:40 around, ripping the fire alarm, screaming the N-word
31:43 in classrooms.
31:44 And he's an ROTC kid.
31:46 I mean, nothing against the ROTC.
31:50 He just looked like a problem.
31:52 And he was a problem.
31:55 He should have never been allowed in that school.
31:57 -But did you think he was capable of something to that
31:59 magnitude?
32:02 -That's a great question.
32:04 I guess you don't really know what anyone's
32:05 really capable of.
32:06 -It's true.
32:07 -But 17 people?
32:10 I don't think anyone.
32:11 -Yeah, who is--
32:13 -You know, I grew up duck hunting.
32:16 I used to hunt all the time with my dad.
32:18 And I never once sat there and thought, let me point this
32:21 gun at him and kill him.
32:24 I don't know what has to go through someone's mind to
32:28 point a gun at someone and take their life.
32:30 And that's just one person.
32:32 And he killed 17.
32:34 And then luckily, his gun jammed, because he got to the
32:36 top floor.
32:38 And on the top floor of that building, there's a window.
32:42 And it views the whole courtyard.
32:44 And his plan was to shoot through the window and just
32:48 kill as many people as he could.
32:50 But his gun jammed.
32:52 And that's why it was 17 instead of it
32:56 could have been 35, 30.
32:58 -Yeah, man.
32:59 That's one of those things where--
33:03 and I asked you beforehand if I could bring it up.
33:06 -Yeah, it's been long enough to where I could talk about it
33:10 with a level head.
33:11 But yeah, I mean, it's something that--
33:16 Valentine's Day is never the same for me, and it never will
33:18 be, just because of what happened.
33:21 And it's unfortunate.
33:23 And that's just me.
33:25 Imagine the family members, the parents that don't ever get
33:30 to see their kid again.
33:31 Or my football coach, he'd bring his two-year-old daughter
33:36 to practice every day.
33:39 And she's going to grow up without her father.
33:42 Because he was selfless enough to go in there and risk his
33:46 life to save as many kids as he can.
33:49 And I just hope that she remembers that
33:53 when she gets older.
33:54 -And I'm sure--
33:55 I hope the community, obviously, will--
33:59 -Yeah, no, they definitely will.
34:00 ---do their best to rally around her and whatnot.
34:04 Because I think he only went to one building, right?
34:06 -Yeah, I think it was kind of he just opened the door, and
34:11 he walked in, and that was it.
34:13 -And that, so your sister was supposed to be in that--
34:16 -Yeah, she was supposed to be there.
34:17 And then my favorite teacher ever, Miss Reoven.
34:22 I love that woman.
34:22 I still do to this very day.
34:24 She put up with so much shit for me.
34:26 I remember someone sending me a video, and
34:31 it was her classroom.
34:33 And I thought she was dead.
34:36 But it was her student that looked just like her.
34:40 And I'm talking about, I'm seeing three kids laying dead
34:43 on the floor in the same exact classroom that I was sitting
34:46 in the year before, laying dead, blood all over the
34:50 place, and I just texted her.
34:53 And I was just like, I just hope you're OK.
34:57 I don't know what the hell happened.
34:58 I don't know who's in this video.
35:00 But please just tell me that you're OK.
35:02 Because if I didn't have that teacher, there was no way I
35:04 was going to get through high school.
35:07 And she reached out to me, but I don't think she teaches at
35:10 the school anymore.
35:10 I don't blame her.
35:11 There's no way I would ever step foot back in that campus.
35:15 -Yeah, it's crazy, too, because you bring up that.
35:18 And I remember that day pretty vividly, because it feels like
35:21 that was one of the first--
35:22 and it's sad, I say first ones, that it
35:24 happens so frequent--
35:26 where you saw a lot of Snapchat videos and stuff of
35:30 people in those classrooms.
35:32 I can imagine being on your end, where you knew people
35:35 there, and you saw places that you used to be.
35:38 So man, that's awful.
35:42 Does the community--
35:43 how is it now?
35:44 -I'll say this.
35:51 As fucked up as it's going to sound, I'd say the community
35:55 was at its strongest after the shooting.
35:58 -Well, I don't think that's fucked up, because that's
36:00 kind of how after 9/11--
36:02 -Right.
36:02 But ever since then, they kind of just went back to their
36:06 snobby way, as I'd put it.
36:08 -Really?
36:08 -Yeah.
36:09 I hate Parkland.
36:10 -Really?
36:11 -Yeah.
36:11 -Why is that?
36:12 -It's a good place to raise your family, but there's no
36:16 genuine people there.
36:18 That's why it was such a culture shock when I came up
36:21 here, and just the way people talk to each other.
36:25 Like, hey, how are you?
36:26 To your neighbors.
36:28 Hey, how are you doing?
36:29 Oh, yeah.
36:30 There's none of that back home.
36:31 It's kind of just head down, keep it moving.
36:35 -Yeah, you're just kind of in your own world.
36:37 -Yeah.
36:38 -Well, that's unfortunate.
36:41 -Yeah, but it makes you appreciate it, though.
36:43 -Yeah.
36:44 Oh, I got you.
36:46 Well, damn, man.
36:46 Like I said, I just know--
36:48 Che brought it up before, and you said you went there before
36:51 on our pod, and everyone's like, shut.
36:54 Sometimes these things are better just to address, and
36:56 more people know, and then you can kind of react from there
37:00 instead of being like, oh.
37:01 Because I'm sure you remember when he was bringing it up on
37:04 that football conversation, and you were kind of quiet.
37:07 I was like, well, hey, would that help you to kind of
37:09 address your perspective on it and what your day was like?
37:13 -And then that way, because that's another reason why I
37:16 tell people I'm from Fort Lauderdale.
37:18 Because when I tell them Parkland, the first thing
37:21 they'll ask me is about the shooting.
37:23 I'm like, hey, I'm from Park-- oh, I'm sorry about that.
37:25 Sorry.
37:27 And I have no problem discussing it with you, but I
37:31 don't want to meet Sally at the bar, and the first thing
37:34 she's talking to me about is a school shooting.
37:38 -No, I got you.
37:40 I got you, man.
37:41 Do you think--
37:42 is that how it's been, though?
37:48 It's been every time?
37:50 -For the first two years, yeah, definitely.
37:53 I'd say lately, not as much.
37:56 I mean, some people will forget.
37:57 Obviously, I'll never forget that day.
38:00 So it's slowed down.
38:01 But the people that do keep their ear to the news--
38:06 I mean, that's not a phrase, but people that didn't forget,
38:10 like, yeah, if I meet them, they're like, oh, you went to
38:12 Parkland?
38:12 Like, yeah.
38:13 And then it just kind of goes into that.
38:15 It's not like the best icebreaker.
38:16 -Yeah, I got you.
38:19 Well, shit.
38:22 Feels wrong to end on that, so I don't think there's
38:24 anything else to say.
38:26 Any plans here?
38:27 Like, what's something that you kind of want to get
38:29 involved with?
38:30 Because that is one thing, too, with here.
38:33 When we get these new hires, sometimes they're just dropped
38:35 off in a whirl.
38:36 And it's like, oh, I didn't sink or swim.
38:38 And it's a hard place to exist, man.
38:40 -Yeah, no, I mean, that's been the case right now.
38:43 I'm really just blogging.
38:44 I never really came here to be a blogger.
38:46 But it's part of my job, and it's something I will continue
38:49 to do and get better at.
38:50 But I want to be in the mix.
38:52 This is all I could ever ask for, just sitting on a mic,
38:56 talking with my friends, and just entertaining people to
38:59 the best that we can.
39:01 But as of right now, I'll even go home early just to go
39:06 record TikToks, because I don't want to sit on the couch
39:09 making TikToks in front of everyone.
39:11 It feels kind of weird.
39:13 Or I just go back home, and I record my gambling podcast
39:18 that's on Nicky's Smoke Shop.
39:20 Shameless plug, but it goes live every Wednesday.
39:23 -You should plug everything you can on this show.
39:24 -And then on Mondays, I talk about the Dolphins and the
39:28 best games from the NFL.
39:30 That's also on Nicky's Smoke Shop.
39:32 And both those shows air at 7 Central time.
39:36 But yeah, I want to be in the mix more.
39:38 I'm not the type of guy that wants to sit on the couch and
39:43 fucking do nothing and blog.
39:46 There's nothing against blogging, don't get me wrong.
39:48 But I feel like I could bring a lot of good energy, a lot of
39:51 positivity, a lot of personality to this office.
39:54 And I just want it to be utilized, not for my own
39:57 personal gain, but just to make everything
39:59 better for everyone.
40:01 If you need me to go shotgun 24 beers, I'll go do that.
40:06 If you need me to go pick up 100 chicken wings for this,
40:09 I'll go do that.
40:11 I'll do anything, is what I'm trying to say.
40:13 I'm more of a team guy.
40:15 Would I like to have my own show?
40:17 Sure, but would I give a fuck if I was just sitting back
40:20 there filling in for filler questions?
40:22 Like no, sign me up for that.
40:24 For sure.
40:24 No, I think that attitude gets you a long way at this place,
40:26 though, so I think that's good.
40:27 And I think I saw Big Cat shout you out about helping out with
40:30 Stella Blue in the morning.
40:31 Yeah, almost died.
40:33 How'd you almost die?
40:34 I'm allergic to bees.
40:35 Oh yeah, you got stung?
40:37 Yeah, and we have this whole table.
40:40 It's like oat milk, whole milk, half this, cream, sugar.
40:44 And there's like 15 bees sitting in the oat milk thing.
40:47 I'm looking at-- like I was with Connor.
40:50 I'm like, yo, do you not see these bees here?
40:52 We need to get rid of this.
40:53 He's like, dude, they're fine.
40:54 I'm like, they're not fine.
40:56 There's 15 bees.
40:57 I'm like, no one's touching that, and I'm allergic to it.
41:00 He's like, oh, they're nice up here.
41:01 I'm like, you mean to tell me the fucking bees are just
41:03 nicer in Illinois?
41:04 He's like, yeah.
41:05 I'm like, all right, whatever.
41:07 So I'm sitting there for like 30 minutes pouring coffee,
41:10 and then they shift from the creamer to the coffee,
41:13 and it just clipped me right on my thumb.
41:15 And luckily, I had Benadryl, and I just took a walk,
41:18 ate the Benadryl, and came back.
41:20 What could happen?
41:21 What's the worst thing that's happened?
41:22 So the last time I got stung, I was like four.
41:24 So my mom--
41:26 last time I was told, I just get like hives.
41:29 And I guess it was hard for me to swallow,
41:31 because I was four years old.
41:32 I don't really fucking remember.
41:34 But I don't think it's like life or death.
41:36 It could be if I don't have the Benadryl, though.
41:38 Or if you got stung enough, probably.
41:40 Yeah, definitely.
41:41 If I got stung like twice, I probably would have--
41:43 If you got swarmed.
41:44 Yeah.
41:45 Yeah, for sure.
41:47 I'm glad you're all right.
41:49 Shout out to Connor.
41:51 That guy just fucking--
41:52 might as well called you a pussy.
41:54 Jesus, dude.
41:56 What is going on?
41:58 That guy's diehard Stella Blue.
41:59 Dude, and he loves bees.
42:02 Apparently.
42:04 I think actually bees, it's like a thing where they're
42:07 really good.
42:08 Like, you need bees.
42:10 I don't need bees.
42:10 Well, you don't personally, but like, you know, the honey--
42:13 Oh, yeah, yeah.
42:13 No, they're good for the environment.
42:14 --they're good for the apiary shit.
42:15 Yeah.
42:16 Don't ask me.
42:17 I'm not a--
42:18 I'm not a bee guy.
42:19 And I don't like pollen.
42:21 No, I don't think anyone likes pollen.
42:23 All right, then, Nicky Smokes.
42:25 Go follow Nicky Smokes at--
42:27 Yes, Twitter @NickySmokes.
42:29 And then YouTube would be huge, @NickySmokeshop.
42:34 Question, though.
42:34 Did you know there was a Tommy Smokes?
42:36 Be honest.
42:37 No.
42:39 Because a lot of people are like, oh, man, you're coming
42:41 for the Smokes title.
42:42 No, and it's no disrespect to Tommy whatsoever, because he's
42:47 obviously a legend at Barstool.
42:49 But I was originally--
42:52 so my Twitter name was Smoke, but my username was NickyBets.
42:58 It was like a playoff of MookieBets, because at the time
43:01 I was just betting.
43:02 And my friend one day, shout out Ghost, he was like, yo, I
43:05 think you should go from NickyBets to NickySmokes.
43:08 It just sounds cleaner.
43:10 I was like, all right, that sounds like a good idea.
43:11 And then I switched it, and that's just how it was.
43:14 That was it.
43:15 Yeah.
43:16 Interesting.
43:17 So would you fight Tommy Smokes at Rough and Rowdy for
43:21 the Smokes crown?
43:23 I don't think he'd want to fight me.
43:25 But would you?
43:26 I mean, yeah.
43:27 All right.
43:29 I'd rather not fight Tommy.
43:30 Unofficial challenge is on there for Tommy Smokes.
43:31 But no, me and Tommy, we handled our Smokes in private
43:35 on DM on Twitter.
43:36 So we're good.
43:38 Good.
43:39 And you did say you don't have a will towards anyone
43:42 who's been coming at you, because you can
43:44 take it from all angles.
43:45 There's not one person who you'd like to maybe see in
43:47 that Rough and Rowdy ring?
43:50 I got to rile some people up a little bit here, Nick.
43:53 I don't know.
43:54 I don't know what to say here.
43:57 Oh, you got someone.
43:58 There's only one person.
43:59 Really?
44:00 Yeah.
44:00 Are they in this office?
44:01 No.
44:01 Right fucking here, Nick.
44:02 You can just tell me.
44:04 No, not here.
44:04 Is there not Harry?
44:05 No.
44:05 They're in New York?
44:06 Yeah.
44:07 Can I guess?
44:08 Yeah.
44:08 Is it KFC?
44:09 Yeah.
44:09 [LAUGHTER]
44:12 All right.
44:13 Well, KFC's not going to fight.
44:14 I know that.
44:15 Yeah.
44:15 I mean, look.
44:16 I actually think in a roundabout way, though, you and
44:19 KFC will be able to squash your beef.
44:22 Yeah, no.
44:23 And that's what I was going to say, too.
44:24 I don't come out here saying it like that.
44:27 I'd love to squash the beef with KFC.
44:29 I never wanted to beef with KFC.
44:31 But the second I got hired, he tweeted out this fucking
44:34 tweet, and basically was like, this kid didn't work for
44:37 anything.
44:38 He won a bet.
44:38 I'm like, well, dude, I had to get on fucking Dave's radar.
44:41 He's not just DMing random fucking people on Twitter for a
44:45 job.
44:46 I put in work to get on that radar, to get that
44:48 opportunity.
44:49 Like there was something that went into this.
44:51 Yeah.
44:52 But like I said, I've never wanted problems with anyone.
44:55 But if they want a problem with me, it is what it is.
44:58 I think even KFC will squash it.
45:00 KFC's a good guy.
45:03 We'll find out.
45:04 We'll find out someday when you guys cross paths.
45:06 This makes me want to text him and see if--
45:09 well, I don't know.
45:09 I could be wrong.
45:10 Maybe he does just detest you.
45:11 But I doubt it.
45:12 I doubt that's the case.
45:15 All right, then, Nicky Smokes.
45:16 Thanks, man.
45:16 It's a pleasure.
45:16 Appreciate you coming on.
45:18 Any time.
45:18 And that's it, everybody.
45:19 Thank you for listening.
45:20 Thank you for watching.
45:21 Subscribe, please, to the YouTube.
45:24 And we'll be back on Monday.
45:26 That's it.
45:27 (whooshing)
45:29 (whooshing)
