00:02 - Let's talk about Deion, how could you not?
00:05 Nine and a half million viewers,
00:07 late night in the 10 o'clock window on ESPN.
00:11 You have been around college football, Bill,
00:13 for a very long time.
00:14 You love this game, you've been covering it.
00:15 Have you ever seen anything like the attention
00:18 that Deion has gotten at Colorado through three games
00:21 with the 3-0 start as well?
00:23 - No, this phenomenon's out of this world
00:25 and it's great for the sport.
00:26 Deion's great for the sport.
00:28 His kid is great for the sport, both of them.
00:31 Shadur Sanders is the one holding this together.
00:33 I mean, that magical 98-yard drive,
00:36 the NFL pro potential, losing Travis Hunter,
00:39 still being able to win the game.
00:41 And there is a lot of sizzle around this team, obviously.
00:44 They've won the popularity contest in September.
00:47 They've got a lot of bandwagon fans.
00:49 I think it will continue into October.
00:52 And because there's substance with Deion,
00:55 he's a master motivator.
00:56 He knows what he's doing.
00:57 He has a great staff around him.
00:59 Sean Lewis, his offensive coordinator,
01:01 the former Kent coach, is going to be
01:03 a hot coaching candidate because of what's going on.
01:05 And I don't know how they do Saturday.
01:08 I don't know that they're gonna win this game.
01:10 I mean, I can't sit here and say,
01:11 yeah, I think they're gonna go into Autzen
01:12 and win as a 20-and-a-half point.
01:15 What I'm watching is the first half, though.
01:17 How long can they hang around?
01:18 Oregon has just obliterated teams
01:20 in the first half this year.
01:21 And they've covered all three weeks.
01:23 So the longer Deion can hang around,
01:25 if that's a one-score game at halftime,
01:28 I might believe a little bit.
01:29 - Yeah, and I just thought coming into the year, too,
01:33 it was so hard.
01:34 People thought Colorado was gonna be awful.
01:36 Their win total was three-and-a-half.
01:38 They're not gonna be good.
01:39 It was a completely different team, Bill.
01:42 And I don't think that people really accounted
01:45 how good Shadour is or how good Travis Hunter is.
01:49 I know, unfortunately, he's not gonna play
01:51 in these next two huge games for them
01:53 against Oregon and USC.
01:55 But those are two real good players
01:57 that he had at Jackson State that he took with him.
01:59 And that changes things in a big way.
02:02 I'm with you.
02:03 I'm interested to see how they can hang around,
02:05 especially their offensive line,
02:07 considering how much Shadour was running around
02:09 against Colorado State.
02:10 That's a much bigger D-line in Oregon
02:12 that he's gonna have to deal with on Saturday afternoon.
