Crossing The Street Ho Chi Minh

Before arriving I was terrified by the thought of crossing the street in Saigon. I've seen videos and I was like, nope I'm not going to do that.. EVER! But it's actually not as scary as it might look like.
One thing you should not do, just close your eyes (not paying any attention) and to cross on a slow but steady pace. Some sites and blogs actually suggest that! Nope!
Slow and steady pace is the key but you want to pay close attention to your surroundings and react accordingly. Cars and scooters will zip around you. But you you want to take some situations into your own hand.
Also, don't confuse the drivers by making abrupt movements. Or going back and forth. This is just asking for trouble.
In this video I'm crossing a busy street near a market. I have seen crazier street traffic but I thought this was good enough to show how it is to cross a street in Ho Chi Min City.
