00:00 Radiation therapists at Canberra Hospital walked off the job on Tuesday
00:04 afternoon protesting for a better wage deal. This comes after Queensland just
00:10 offered an interim 25% wage rise to its radiation therapists.
00:17 How are they going to get it?
00:19 With radiation!
00:21 We're here in Canberra and most of our staff are not from here.
00:25 So for someone like myself and for the younger staff that we have here,
00:29 it would be crazy not to consider an opportunity where we can move to somewhere like Queensland
00:34 and receive a significant amount more paid for the exact same work that we do now.
00:39 It has been over 12 months since this bargain has started.
00:44 It's been over six months since we got any update in a claim.
00:48 And that update was simply that the government was willing to look at it.
00:52 Now, this is not good enough.
