00:00 Talking about Greg Brooks, I'm not positive.
00:03 What is going on with him?
00:07 They talked about a medical emergency.
00:10 Now Greg was a wonderful kid when he was here and
00:13 did a great job for us and whatever it may be,
00:17 I want him and his family and LSU to know that we're.
00:22 Concerned we're praying for him and
00:25 we hope that he has whatever it may be a speedy recovery.
00:32 I wish I knew more about it, but I don't.
00:35 But I do know medical emergency means there's something wrong and
00:39 my thoughts and prayers are with him and the LSU football team and community.
00:44 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:52 >> Yeah, it's hard to win any game when you have 14 penalties.
01:00 Obviously, I don't know if I'm gonna get fine.
01:02 I obviously didn't agree with all the calls and all that kind of stuff.
01:08 Several of them, but hence, the problem you can't have,
01:13 we had too many missed assignments and
01:17 we had too many penalties to beat a good football team.
01:23 And we got to figure out how to get the penalty situation.
01:29 You're gonna have some missed assignments in a game.
01:32 I thought we had more than what we should have.
01:36 But it's the penalties that are killing drives and
01:40 keeping drives alive and things that nature that.
01:44 We just have to get corrected.
01:49 We played to answer your question, we played extremely hard.
01:53 The crowd was unbelievable.
01:56 But in a nutshell, if we just took half the penalties away,
02:00 I think we would have won the game.
02:02 [BLANK_AUDIO]
02:05 And I hope so.
02:06 [BLANK_AUDIO]
02:12 I hope so.
02:13 He just hasn't practiced well because he physically can't.
02:20 But I hope so, going back to Louisiana as well.
02:25 And we need him because obviously when we had
02:29 practiced Brady out there a couple times.
02:33 And he was the next best option we had.
02:40 Just unfortunate when he had to move out there and all this.
02:44 And but he did as good a job as he could do and
02:48 he was the right guy to move out there.
02:52 It's just when he did that.
02:53 [BLANK_AUDIO]
03:01 Yeah.
03:02 [BLANK_AUDIO]
03:08 It did and in that period of two minutes, it was,
03:13 Kudish had went out first and then Chandler had went out with a cramp.
03:19 And then Kudish came back.
03:21 But we talked about that stuff on Saturday morning.
03:26 Okay, what happens?
03:27 And I'm sure the coaches get irritated with me going, okay, what happens if this
03:32 happens, what happens, okay, well, he's out, he's out, what happens?
03:36 Because I want them to be able to click and say, this is what we're gonna do.
03:40 In not a stressful situation, okay, so we're gonna do it and then you just do it.
03:46 But yeah, I mean, the other thing is that for
03:49 some reason we've had some hand issues.
03:52 We've got three of them on the offensive line and
03:57 you need your grip there so we're gonna go spiders today.
04:02 I'm gonna try to heal up some of that a little bit if we can.
04:05 That was a plan whether we would have wanted to go through 25 days of
04:11 physical preseason and we've been really physical.
04:14 Last week was our most physical practice.
04:16 And so I'm gonna try to heal up just a little bit.
04:21 You still get a lot of work, spiders, but that's what we're gonna do.
04:25 >> [INAUDIBLE]
04:31 >> No, I mean, really no is the answer.
04:34 I don't know if he's gonna be able to play or not.
04:39 And I tell you, probably in all honesty,
04:41 it's probably too early to really tell on that injury.
04:44 We're gonna have him out there a little bit today, kind of see where he's at.
04:51 But to be honest with you, the answer is probably no at this point.
04:56 Not know that he's not gonna play, no, we just don't know.
05:00 >> We told him getting AJ Green's more carries.
05:02 We had nine carries Saturday night, first series three carry 63 yards and
05:06 six carries the rest of the game.
05:08 Any thought on that?
05:09 >> Yeah, I mean, I think we went into the game thinking that we were gonna use
05:13 all three of them.
05:14 I think obviously, if you feel like you have a hot hand,
05:18 you probably ought to try to use them a little bit more.
05:22 Right now, it seems like everything that we're doing offensively seems hard.
05:27 It doesn't seem like there's anything that's coming easy to us.
05:31 Besides, we did have some good completions and we did have some long run.
05:37 We've had more Saturday than we had in previous games.
05:40 But yeah, I mean, I think we probably went in thinking he'd probably get
05:46 double digits, maybe 12, 13 reps and him coming out nine might be a little light
05:53 for him.
05:53 >> I know people are upset about the offensive line, but
05:58 with all the injuries, I mean, there's just so much you can do with them.
06:03 You started moving around, but basically, do you have very many options?
06:08 I mean, you're pretty much a lot of people injured there.
06:10 >> Well, the offensive line just has to play more consistent
06:16 because there are times, I mean, on AJ's run, nobody touched him.
06:21 You know what I mean?
06:23 We just had to be more consistent.
06:28 We probably need to move the pocket a little bit more.
06:31 We can't just stand back there and let people blitz it on or bull us.
06:38 Obviously, we started chipping and things of that nature.
06:43 But when you do that, you have to because of the bull we were getting.
06:47 It was pretty good, I thought, defensive end lines.
06:51 But I don't know that there's a lot more than what we're doing.
06:55 Believe me, we're trying everything that we can to try to
07:01 get the best guys out there that are gonna play the best.
07:06 And we've been banged up and those things, a lot of people get banged up.
07:11 We just had to play better, had to play more consistent.
07:15 >> Question on Luke, man, he just seems to be getting better every week.
07:18 I mean, the sky's the limit for that kid.
07:19 >> It is, I mean, he's a physical guy, almost to faults.
07:27 The other day, I thought he could have outran the guy chasing him from the inside.
07:31 He kind of waited on him so he could bang him, so he could hit him.
07:36 And he ended up getting the first down.
07:38 But yeah, I think those type of games that he had, they're just getting better.
07:43 I think his blocking would get better.
07:44 And we talked about how many plays can he play?
07:49 And basically, we're gonna play him however many he can because he's valuable to us.
07:54 And he catches everything, he's done a really, really good.
07:57 That's a freshman out there that's a really good job.
08:01 >> I was wondering about KJ's health.
08:02 There was a couple of runs where maybe the old KJ would have cut up and
08:06 hit somebody, is he okay?
08:08 >> Yes, he's fine.
08:12 [BLANK_AUDIO]
08:16 Yeah, he was a little banged up going into the game.
08:18 But we wondered the same thing, but we knew the answer of why.
08:23 But it's not because, I mean, a lot of times you tell guys,
08:29 run out of bounds or something like that.
08:33 We have not heard him because I didn't think he would do it, if we did.
08:40 But yeah, I'm sure that had a little bit to do with how he was feeling.
08:47 >> You've been part of two Arkansas teams that have gone bad in Region 1.
08:50 What maybe lessons, things that you found out from those games that might help?
08:54 >> Yeah, there's some things that we have to control, and one of them is the noise.
09:01 They had to get ready for the noise, and we had to play clean.
09:06 We had to cut up penalties and our MAs back.
09:11 But the noise is the biggest thing going out there.
09:14 And then you have to celebrate the community, the people.
09:19 You have to embrace them, which we did last time we were out there.
09:24 Us in LSU, we played them three times,
09:30 and there's three points between the last three games.
09:33 We lost by three, won by three, lost by three.
09:36 And we'll be ready to play.
09:39 I know they will be too.
09:41 But losing wasn't a wake-up call for us.
09:46 I mean, that's not, we would have learned if we had won from too many penalties and
09:53 all that kind of stuff.
09:54 But it is LSU and it's SEC play.
09:58 I'm sure they'll be ready, but we'll have a good game plan.
10:02 But it is a special place to go, especially at night.
10:05 And it's a hard place to win, at night especially.
10:09 >> Leaving the celebration penalty aside, I want to ask you about two calls.
10:13 There was an offensive passing appearance on Luke Haas.
10:15 >> Yeah.
10:16 >> That just seemed like incidental contact, whatever.
10:20 And you'd have had a fourth and one, or maybe it would have been a first.
10:23 That play, and then it looked- >> He wasn't ever had third and
10:26 20 something.
10:28 >> And then it looked to me like on a KJ run right before halftime,
10:33 somebody came in and speared him.
10:35 And I don't know.
10:38 What did you say on those two plays?
10:41 >> You said it.
10:45 I'm gonna get fine guys, so I appreciate the question.
10:50 I don't have any idea, I don't want to chance it.
10:53 But yeah, I mean.
10:55 >> You've had, last year I think there were a couple midseason losing streaks,
11:04 but you guys didn't necessarily let them spiral into anything.
11:07 Now you've lost your first game.
11:09 What lessons have you taken in your time here maybe that can help kind of
11:13 make this loss not turn into a spiral given the tough schedule?
11:17 >> I think it's a lot about how you approach today.
11:23 I think that has a lot to do with, they'll say some things can beat you two or
11:30 three times if you let them.
11:35 We just can't do that.
11:37 At some point today, we've got to let it go.
11:41 I do know this, the busier you are preparing for the next game,
11:46 the easier it is on you.
11:48 In other words, to kind of block out all the noise that's going on,
11:52 because there's gonna be noise.
11:54 I'm sitting in the seat, there's gonna be noise around me forever,
11:59 as long as I'm fortunate enough to sit in the seat.
12:02 And it's part of it, but I think the kids are the same way,
12:04 because there's a lot of noise around.
12:07 They got B-by-B-by-U and all that kind of stuff.
12:09 We gotta cut that out of your life.
12:13 And then you have to prepare, to me, goes back into the preparation of it.
12:18 I'm gonna tell them what we have to do to beat LSU today.
12:22 And then that's what we gotta go do at practice.
12:27 And as anything in life, as it fades a little bit,
12:31 it's not so itchy in the face, it fades a little bit.
12:35 Then it kind of gets easier to turn the page and go to the next opponent.
12:40 But if we waste a day, so we haven't.
12:43 In other words, last year, I think when we got beat by Liberty,
12:47 I think the next game was LSU.
12:49 And we actually played really good.
12:52 I mean, KJ wasn't able to play that game.
12:56 Dalton Wagner wouldn't be able to play that game, but we played a good game.
13:00 You may say you didn't play well offensively, but we were dealt a hand and
13:05 we got beat 13 to 10.
13:07 We played a physical good game.
13:11 So I think that we'll do the same thing.
13:14 And then I think after that we played Ole Miss and
13:16 we were able to get a bowl eligible and all that stuff.
13:18 So we gotta put it one week at a time.
13:22 And we can't mull around because I think this is as good a football
13:28 team as we'll play all year, they are very, very, very talented.
13:34 But we have to have a good, that's why you have game plans and
13:38 things of that nature.
13:39 We've got a good football team, we've lost a game and
13:42 we've gotta go get our pride back and get our respect back.
13:47 >> Just real quick, we saw Chambly and
13:50 Kudas both kind of get banged up, what's their status right now?
13:53 >> They're both fine.
13:55 Chambly was a grant, he grant and then Kudas was a back.
14:00 But I think they're both fine.
14:04 >> This is a senior laden group talking about dealing with adversity.
14:08 What do you need to see from those guys, all three phases of the ball,
14:11 moving forward to bounce back?
14:13 >> I just think that we've just gotta flush it and go out to practice.
14:19 We don't have time, we cannot lose an hour,
14:24 a minute or anything of practice and
14:28 preparation because we got beat.
14:32 So I think they'll do it, they've done it in the past.
14:36 And I look forward to rallying the troops in there and having a good week.
14:45 >> And I think who said it best, adversity is just a part of football,
14:49 any level you play.
14:50 What have you learned about dealing with adversity in your four years as a head
14:54 coach that was perhaps new in your time as a assistant?
14:57 [BLANK_AUDIO]
15:00 >> I'll be honest with you, it's hard to block out your 15 second decisions.
15:13 A lot of stuff goes through your mind, what would that work?
15:19 Where's this put us at?
15:21 Where's this at?
15:22 Because you know if it doesn't work,
15:25 that you're gonna get a lot of questions about it.
15:28 And you know if it does work, you're not probably gonna get any.
15:32 And so I think that's what I kind of went with,
15:37 with the analytics a little bit and then going, okay,
15:41 I'm gonna do what the book says, and less, this, that, and the other.
15:45 [BLANK_AUDIO]
15:51 I got beat after not going at all for fourth and one, not taking a field goal,
15:56 this, I mean, if it doesn't work, you're gonna get smoked.
16:00 And so I said it before and it was,
16:04 [BLANK_AUDIO]
16:06 I'm just gonna decide what I think at the game time and what I'll do.
16:11 But I think that's the one thing I've learned is that,
16:14 [BLANK_AUDIO]
16:16 You make a decision, it better work.
16:18 And so you have to, maybe the preparation of that particular moment.
16:25 We've been really good on the goal line.
16:27 We just haven't been very good on fourth and one, we've lost two of them.
16:30 And so we've gotta get better just in case I feel the need to go for it.
16:36 But we've gotta get it.
16:37 And so I've learned, just do what you think you're prepared and
16:42 get off the analytics just a little bit.
16:45 >> And we've seen how explosive Satania can be in punt return.
16:50 I'm curious, what's the process of getting him more involved in the pass game?
16:54 Is it him playing more,
16:57 is it just as simple as maybe him improving as a line blocker?
17:00 >> I don't think so.
17:01 I think he's gotta catch the ball more consistently in practice.
17:06 I think that would be, and he's doing that, he's getting better at that.
17:10 [BLANK_AUDIO]
17:13 But you also have guys that aren't catching the ball 100% in front of him.
17:18 You know what I mean?
17:19 So it's just opportunity for him, has to increase just a little bit more.
17:28 I think we're gonna do a little bit something, wide receiver,
17:31 we'll figure it out to where we might can get him on the field a little bit more.
17:35 >> The other thing I had, I think he played five corners on Saturday.
17:39 I guess, what did you think of those guys and you got a receiver
17:43 facing this guy almost 200 yards and a half?
17:47 >> Yeah, wasn't that incredible?
17:48 [BLANK_AUDIO]
17:51 Yeah, he's really good.
17:53 But who we started is basically how they play during the week.
18:01 So we decided to go with Braxton and snacks,
18:06 because we just didn't feel Tuesday was not great practice.
18:12 So we switched it up a little bit.
18:17 Our 15 played the best of the corners.
18:20 [BLANK_AUDIO]
18:23 So we're still nudie with the turtle.
18:27 That's been a hold back a little bit.
18:31 I anticipate him being healthy this week.
18:34 He's going back to Louisiana and play to the LSU.
18:38 So we think all five of them can play and this is the answer.
18:46 There's obviously a taking order, who can play better than the other end.
18:50 And the other night it was just simply,
18:54 we didn't practice very good and that's what we did.
18:59 And I don't know that we can play all five of them,
19:02 to be honest with you in a particular game.
19:05 >> We've talked a couple times about chipping and needing to get better there.
19:10 Is there something specific you can do,
19:13 maybe this week in practice to just get a little bit better in that area?
19:16 >> You can work your chips, you can work your chips better.
19:20 I'm not sure you work with the tight end as well.
19:28 That's the easy one because you can guarantee a chip.
19:32 Back if they bless you, you can,
19:36 because he becomes in bliss protection if his responsibility counts.
19:42 So I think we have to be prepared on both of those venues.
19:46 And I think it's just, like I said before, I think we've got to move
19:51 the park this time too, I think we've got to get out of this is where our KJ
19:56 is gonna be in different situations.
19:59 So I think that'll help.
20:01 But we do one on one, we do an NDM, pass pro and all that kind of stuff.
20:08 All the time, the other thing is that we can't hold on to the ball as long as we
20:13 can, so he told me that all kids are holding the ball because we're not getting
20:17 open, so that could help as well.
20:19 >> I think KJ is a little bit banged up going into the game.
20:23 I'm assuming you feel okay about him after the game?
20:26 >> Yeah, he actually is a lot better today than he was last week.
20:30 >> You had kind of a rough second half against Florida State,
20:35 probably a lot of people would.
20:37 But they seem like, how would you rate their response since then in their last
20:41 two games, especially what they did down at start?
20:43 >> Well, they played grambling at home and beat them bad, bad.
20:48 Grambling did some good things offensively early in that game,
20:56 maybe in the entire first half.
20:58 And then the Mississippi State game, they were incredible.
21:06 They were great on defense.
21:07 I mean, they had Mississippi State right at 200 yards,
21:12 which is hard to do because they got a quarterback and
21:16 a great running back, and the Mississippi State's got a good goalkeeper.
21:21 But they were just all over the place on defense, and then they threw the ball well.
21:27 And that's the one thing, really, that Daniels is doing.
21:31 He's lights, he can beat you with his feet, he's the leading rusher we have.
21:36 But, and Diggs is too, Diggs is a really good player,
21:39 which I've recruited as well.
21:41 But he's just throwing the ball on point, and then he's a great runner.
21:47 He's playing, in my opinion, the best he's ever played right now.
21:52 And so that helps him bounce back.
21:54 But sometimes they went and they got him for LSU.
21:58 I'm sure they got embarrassed the first game, and
22:01 they said we're better than this, which they are.
22:03 And they went out and started playing a little bit better.
22:06 I don't know what the problem was the first game, but they're playing better.
22:12 >> After a game, you normally send some video to the SEC office on
22:18 a fishing call when it's a big 12 crew, how does that work?
22:21 >> Well, we did, we got it, but we didn't send it in.
22:26 I don't know if we can send it in or not.
22:28 To be honest with you, Bob, all it is is for self gratification anyway.
22:33 Or you're sending in and you go, what's the real rule behind this?
22:40 We've had some targeting, but it's hard to understand the targeting.
22:46 Like a kid from Mississippi State, he got kicked out of the game, and
22:51 he hit him in the chest.
22:54 But he hit him with the crown of his helmet in the chest.
22:57 Targeting, we think it was just got to be helmet to helmet.
23:02 It's just leading up to the crown of the hat.
23:05 And sometimes we'll send stuff in there.
23:08 Why wasn't this called?
23:09 Why was this called?
23:11 But sending it in to get this verification that yeah, I was right and
23:16 you're wrong, it really doesn't do anything.
23:20 You get it back on Wednesday or late Thursday, and there's some things,
23:27 you're never gonna agree with what comes out of here anyway.
23:32 You wouldn't send it in at the first place.
23:34 [BLANK_AUDIO]
23:38 >> And also flinched on the third and
23:39 fifth, by the way, when you got called on the first one.
23:43 Looked like you guys came out pretty clean on injuries.
23:46 You mentioned Chambly and Kudos and KJ being fine.
23:52 Come out pretty clean.
23:54 >> We did.
23:54 >> You consider flinches, you're gonna jump, you're gonna go, yeah, we do.
24:01 But what'd you say?
24:03 >> You came out pretty clean, looked like on her.
24:05 [BLANK_AUDIO]
24:07 >> We did.
24:08 I think we did.
24:10 We've got the nagging what's gonna happen as a ball gets played, but we did.
24:16 I told the kids it was gonna go spiders early in the camp.
24:23 So everything goes, this is it, great boy, good, but it's a great time to go.
24:29 Because we are pretty healthy, we gotta get some,
24:33 get going, get some life into us.
24:37 Guys, we played all, it's been placed now.
24:40 We got beat because of it.
24:42 But our kids, it's not an effort, it's not that they, I like this team.
24:48 I like them a lot, but it's gonna take a little bit of time.
24:51 >> I mean, I know, obviously, later focus moves on to the next game, but
24:55 how difficult is that actually to do?
24:57 >> Hard, it's hard.
25:01 I mean, it's not a job, it's my life.
25:08 It's what you do, actually, everybody knows,
25:12 nobody is like a regular person.
25:15 The kids, same way, it's hard.
25:19 Because the addition of social media and
25:24 the addition of not opinion so much, but
25:29 negative, like it used to be like,
25:35 you gotta do better or something, it's not, you suck.
25:40 You know what I mean?
25:43 Now it's got, the comments have nothing to do really with what happened in the game.
25:49 It's just, you suck.
25:52 It's not just me, it's all the kids and all that.
25:55 So I think it's a time when it's harder to recover from losses,
26:01 if you're a social media person.
26:04 So and your best friends will say, man, you guys are gonna get them this week.
26:12 They said, no, by the way, stay off social media.
26:14 You know what I mean?
26:15 So you're going, I have been, so then you're going, what's happening?
26:20 The kids are the same way, so I think it's hard.
26:23 I mean, it is because you want to please the people that are employing you,
26:29 the team, your wife, the state, the media, and you can't always do that.
26:36 And that's the hard part about our job.
26:40 And I would imagine part of that being a student athlete.
26:44 It'd be hard, because we all have feelings, we all have, you know what I mean?
26:49 And when you let people down, you're already beating yourself up on them.
26:54 And then somebody starts beating the hell out of you with it.
26:57 And then, you know what I mean?
26:58 I think it's a little bit harder to recover, but they're gonna recover as I do.
27:02 And when I get to that meeting today, it's gonna be all about LSU,
27:06 after we get the corrections that we need to do.
27:09 >> Can I answer my next question about, I know you spoke one game at a time.
27:13 Is there any talk about this about the embark on this four game road trip?
27:16 >> It hadn't been.
27:18 I just think this is as good a team as we're gonna play.
27:21 And I know A&M's good, I know Ole Miss good, they're good, Alabama's good.
27:27 But I think this will define a little bit where we're at,
27:34 how we go Saturday night, we just gotta really prepare hard for it.
27:40 We've got a good football team, they do too, but
27:43 if we get prepared, we'll be a hell of a game.
27:45 >> We've talked a lot about how players have recovered.
27:49 How is kind of the coaching staff taking it, and how's the morale within the room?
27:53 >> They're good, again, they kinda go how I go.
27:56 And if I go in there and go, man, talking about anything else other than
28:01 how can we get better and how can we improve and LSU.
28:07 And really, in all honesty, we're wasting time.
28:11 Cuz what happens is nobody really cares unless they love you.
28:14 Nobody really cares what your feelings are.
28:16 They don't care unless they like you or them.
28:19 So if you don't know somebody, why should you be concerned about their feelings?
28:23 They're not gonna be in your life and they're not in your life, so
28:26 why should you care?
28:28 So, and I know I'll get beat up for saying that too, but that's how it feels.
28:32 But I think it's all gonna be okay.
28:35 And I think the staff and the kids go off, I'm the leader.
28:40 How am I gonna approach it?
28:43 We still got nine games left, and when we do, and we're undefeated in the SEC.
28:49 We are, so we'll see what happens.
28:52 >> Marginal fans might think Harold Perkins is the best defensive player in
28:55 the country.
28:56 They were at the game last year, they would think that.
28:59 >> So maybe talk about why he's so special and it's got an important on him.
29:03 >> Just unbelievable fact, unbelievable fact.
29:07 I went back and watched that last year's game, was Norman Baxter.
29:11 And he ran down the league horns to me several times.
29:16 So I know he's fat.
29:17 They're playing a little bit different, they got a different defense.
29:21 They got a different coach house, they got a different coordinator.
29:26 But he hadn't rushed as much as he had in the past.
29:31 But really his plays against us, he was a spy.
29:34 He was a spy, and when the league broke, he went and ran it down.
29:38 But I don't know if that's what they're gonna do with JJ or not.
29:42 I would assume not.
29:43 I think they're gonna play their defense, I think they like their defense.
29:47 I mean, Wingo is incredible.
29:49 I mean, he's unbelievable.
29:51 He's gonna be behind as I've seen.
29:55 But with Perkins, he can do so many things.
29:59 He covered, I think it was a wide receiver.
30:03 They may have split the running back up.
30:05 He covered him 40 yards on the field.
30:07 They ran a go route and the guys ride on.
30:09 He's probably as fast as anybody they had on the team.
30:12 That's his very instinctive, that he is fast.
30:17 He'll hit you.
30:18 And he's just a really good player, really good.
30:20 >> When you say you might wanna move the pocket more with JJ,
30:23 is that something that you guys have already or
30:26 just something you gotta flick around?
30:29 >> Well, it's just like when I was here before with Dan.
30:33 He likes all these combinations and nobody, if you move the pocket,
30:36 which you do, you don't have to.
30:39 Obviously, you can't have to kill that.
30:41 You're going to two receivers and stuff.
30:43 You can flood it and get three out there as well.
30:48 BYU actually ran a lot of floods, what I call flood routes.
30:53 But if you can't hold up on, let's say you can't hold up on third and
30:57 eighth, they got some really good players over there.
31:00 You have to have something in that offense that's going to make them slow down.
31:07 And obviously, we had this great game and it had been very good.
31:12 We had to catch a ball the other night, I think we're gonna make a lot of yards.
31:18 We had screens, we had draws, and we had opportunities to move it.
31:22 All those we have in our, I'm not telling you that we have them in our offense
31:28 to move the pocket to get in the arms, and those are things we gotta look at.
31:33 >> You know, last thing I had was you talked about Jaden Daniels a little bit,
31:37 but just maybe offensively, you can't move him.
31:40 >> Well, first of all, Brad Davis is over there, so
31:44 the offensive line is doing good.
31:47 They had them two freshman tackles, they're now sophomores.
31:51 And I think Will Campbell's playing extremely well.
31:55 It must have been a hell of an honor, he got voted a captain over there.
31:58 They're tied in who didn't play last week, Taylor, 86, is really, really good.
32:04 But he had a high angle, so he didn't play.
32:07 Diggs, Williams, running back, they're doing basically the same
32:13 thing that they did last year, except their receivers are, to me,
32:18 they're just a difference in their offense with its neighbors and Thomas and Lacey.
32:24 Obviously, neighbors had the huge game last week.
32:29 But I think they're incredibly talented at wide receiver.
32:35 And I think Daniels might be as improved of a thrower, and
32:39 I know he was a good thrower last year.
32:41 He's putting it on them and they're winning 50-50 balls.
32:46 But they got a lot of speed.
32:49 They're not running it quite as much as they had, I don't think,
32:53 as they had last year.
32:55 Maybe it's defensive to say they are.
32:57 But for me, right now, they've been an RPO,
33:02 Pat's first team, and it's had great success.
33:06 And they were just running goals all day and just running by the guy.
33:09 It was edgy.
33:11 >> Last week you said you prefer night games at home and early games on the road.
33:17 You're getting one, not this Saturday, but the next Saturday you'll get one at
33:20 Arlington.
33:21 Talk about the advantages of having an early game on the road.
33:25 >> I mean, I just like it.
33:27 If you're going in the hostile territory, it's hard.
33:32 To have this louder crowd at 11 AM,
33:36 as it is in the evening when they get all ready to go during the day.
33:42 There's something about a night crowd, I don't know,
33:45 there's just something about it.
33:46 And a lot of times you're worried about your team waking up ready to go, but
33:51 we practice so much in the morning that I think that might be an advantage for
33:56 us to play early as well.
33:58 So that's really what I like that.
34:02 And just the opposite if you're going into LSU,
34:06 they got all day to get packed up and all this kind of stuff.
34:10 And so it's just the opposite.
34:13 >> Real quick, just what are your thoughts on the defense line against BYU?
34:18 They got pressure and just couldn't get home sometimes.
34:21 And Landon spoke to us about some assignments got missed.
34:25 Just what did you see from that unit?
34:27 >> Yeah, we didn't twist around.
34:28 We had a little what I call frog twist to going this way and then coming back.
34:34 We didn't twist around, we did not.
34:37 I was one of our MAs quarterback came out of the pocket and
34:42 made a first down on that critical situation.
34:46 Going into the game, we felt like they had two really good tackles,
34:52 which they did.
34:52 And we thought we could maybe pick on their interior guys.
34:59 And it just didn't quite work that out.
35:03 I thought they did a nice job of moving him a little bit as well.
35:08 And did a lot of quick throws, whiffing, things of that nature.
35:14 So I think their game plan was really good about getting it off and
35:17 really fast and what they had shown us in the past.
