Seremban police have arrested a 25-year-old motorcyclist who rammed into a Road Transport Department (JPJ) officer while attempting to escape a roadblock on the Seremban-Port Dickson highway on Sunday (Sept 17) morning.

00:00 Police have arrested a 25-year-old motorcyclist
00:06 who rammed into a Road Transport Department JPG officer
00:10 while attempting to escape a roadblock
00:12 on the Seremban-Port Dixon Highway on Sunday morning.
00:16 According to Port Dixon Police Chief Superintendent I.D. Shah Mohammed,
00:21 the motorcyclist did not have a valid driving licence
00:24 and his road tax had expired.
00:27 He said in a statement that the 25-year-old suspect,
00:30 who has a record of eight crimes including four drugs,
00:34 will be taken to the Port Dixon Court on Monday to be remanded.
00:38 The case is being investigated under Section 353 of the Penal Code
00:43 for using force to intimidate public servants.
00:46 I.D. Shah said the JPG officer suffered minor leg and hand injuries
00:52 and was taken to the Port Dixon Hospital.
00:55 The JPG, in a separate statement,
00:57 said the motorcyclist has two blacklist entries against him
01:01 and that his road tax expired in July 2012.
01:06 The department said a police report was lodged
01:09 and the motorcyclist handed over to the police to further investigation.
01:14 JPG also advised the people not to attempt to evade or act unexpectedly
01:20 at roadblocks conducted by the department.
01:24 I.D. Shah said the JPG officer suffered minor leg and hand injuries
01:29 and was taken to the Port Dixon Hospital on Monday to be remanded.
