00:00 Two premierships in a row, you must be pinching yourself Billy?
00:04 Yeah, 100%. It's always nice, especially to win by that margin.
00:08 It's just real credit to the boys to just push hard, put the pressure on early and just make them turn it over.
00:16 Because they're a good attacking team, to really put the heat on early and then bounce it and get it our way.
00:22 And especially keep a few goals in the third quarter, it's always pretty nice to.
00:26 You've come across on the back of Sparsh and of course strong family connections, brother, cousin in the side as well.
00:34 And plenty of relatives watching from the sidelines.
00:37 So there's always that extra satisfaction when you're playing with family and close friends.
00:42 What does the move to Gordon mean for you?
00:45 You actually move over to Gordon, especially a club like this, the culture's unreal, the family is everything.
00:52 You can't ask for much better.
00:54 And of course, you come to a club, you hope for success, a club that hadn't won a flag up to last year since 1988.
01:01 Suddenly you've got two in the bag.
01:03 It's just something you would never have imagined, you hope for it.
01:07 But wow, your thoughts on back to back?
01:11 Oh, it's nice. Can't complain about back to back. One's always good, but two's feel so much better.
01:15 But yeah, like they had during the COVID years, they were always the best team in this and that.
01:21 And it's just like they just needed a couple more recruits that me and my brother were able to give to the club.
01:27 And just like us, role players, we're not fucking superstars, we're just role players.
01:31 So that's all we can do.
01:33 You play a role in your earlier days, junior days, basically probably a deep forward goal sneak.
01:39 And you still carry out that role with the Eagles.
01:43 But I think this year you've played more on the ground too.
01:46 You've crept up and had that impact on the wing. Have you enjoyed that greater freedom?
01:50 Yeah, just being able to lead on the ground and being used as a target, even though my height, not very tall.
01:57 But just being able to lead up and work more on the ground, create more chances.
02:02 Like my goals have dropped, but I'm creating more chances, getting more people into the game.
02:07 And like you just create pressure up and off the 50, it just makes everyone's day easier.
02:11 Okay, so I reckon we can hear in the background there's already plenty of celebration running.
02:15 Well, less than an hour after the game, looking forward to a big night and a big few days, no doubt.
02:21 Yeah, a few days off work is needed, that's for sure.
02:24 That's for sure.
