Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph discusses the lack of pressure on Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

00:00 Last week, I thought it was a combination guys of scheme.
00:04 I thought Jimmy played well.
00:07 You know, Jimmy didn't make a lot of mistakes with the ball.
00:09 Jimmy ran twice on us, you know, so I thought he did a great job
00:13 of avoiding pressure also.
00:15 And when guys recovered, he took off and ran,
00:17 which hadn't been Jimmy's deal.
00:20 First second down, we got some pressure on him,
00:22 but he threw it away and the ball came out fast.
00:24 We knew going into that game, it wasn't going to be a game
00:26 where he's holding the ball long.
00:28 You know, so that wasn't a surprise,
00:30 but I thought we could have gotten more pressure,
00:33 especially with some four-man rushes,
00:35 with some coverage stuff being good, but it didn't happen.
00:38 So we got to go back and reboot it and fix it.
00:41 Yeah, I mean, that's going to happen, right?
00:43 I mean, Patrick, you know, by the way,
00:46 played really well last week.
00:48 He's a special player.
00:49 So, you know, the same way we have game plans to, you know,
00:55 kind of, you know, take their best player away.
00:59 It's the same with our offenses, you know,
01:00 they're going to avoid Pat from time to time.
01:02 We have ways to obviously make them, you know,
01:07 go towards Patrick, I should say,
01:09 and also have ways to help the guy opposite, you know,
01:12 but that's going to be an ongoing process
01:15 every single week.
01:16 I mean, who wants to throw at Patrick?
01:17 I mean, last week he touched more balls,
01:19 I think, than 17 touched at the end of the game.
01:21 And I mean, he's a special player.
01:23 So we'll see, you know, each week is different.
01:25 Obviously, but having a plan to, you know,
01:28 to use Patrick in certain packages,
01:30 it's going to be ongoing for us.
