00:00 Stepping in to help the flood-hit city of Derna,
00:03 these Turkish rescuers pull out a body from the rubble.
00:06 Yet even as aid and supplies continue to arrive in Libya,
00:10 local teams remain overwhelmed by the scope of the disaster.
00:14 "We currently have more than 3,000 people hosted across six or seven shelters around the city.
00:21 Supplies are coming in, they haven't stopped.
00:23 But the disaster is bigger than the amount of supplies."
00:29 Since Sunday's deadly flood, global relief efforts have been picking up pace.
00:34 Several neighboring countries, including Egypt, Turkey and Algeria,
00:37 have already sent teams of experts and much-needed supplies,
00:42 while the EU has mobilized considerable resources
00:45 through the bloc's civil protection mechanism.
00:48 "Finland, Germany and Romania have sent generators, shelters and food.
00:54 France has sent a medical team of more than 50 individuals.
00:58 Italy has sent a team of specialist divers and two helicopters."
01:04 Despite the outpour of international support,
01:07 bringing aid to affected areas remains a challenge,
01:10 as large parts of the city's infrastructure have been completely destroyed.
01:15 "The ruined road network in Derna is estimated to be 30 kilometers,
01:20 with five bridges collapsing within the city, connecting its east to its west."
01:26 On Thursday, the UN issued a call for some 71 million dollars in donations
01:31 to provide relief over the next three months.
01:34 The World Health Organization, meanwhile,
01:36 said it was releasing 2 million dollars
