20:40 [Speaking in Filipino]
20:50 So has it been your dream to become a scientist?
20:54 [Speaking in Filipino]
20:56 Yeah, it has. I studied psychology in university in Toronto, Canada, but I didn't finish.
21:03 So my whole life I thought, "Oh, wala na. No more. I don't have a dream. No more that dream to work in the science."
21:11 But now, I have an ant channel, AntsCanada, on YouTube, and I'm working in the sciences again.
21:18 Wow!
21:20 Even if I'm not finished. So I'm really grateful to God.
21:24 Yes, of course. But these two are so quiet.
21:27 [Laughs]
21:29 Wait a minute. I'm thinking of what to ask.
21:32 In English, because you're the first one.
21:34 So can you tell us how you got started with this?
21:37 Because, of course, you said it's in your own backyard.
21:40 So how was that? I mean, normally we don't mind the ants, right?
21:45 But you really studied it.
21:48 Yeah. We were building my house, me and my partner's house, here in Cavite.
21:55 I was wandering in the jungle, and I found some ants that looked different.
22:05 And I was like, "Hey, this is different."
22:08 So I put it in a bottle, and then I sent it to my friend, Dr. David Generelle, from the ALB.
22:18 And he identified that it's a species that has never been discovered here in the Philippines.
22:24 Wow!
22:25 He's a zoologist. He's really fascinated.
22:29 But before this encounter, were you really fascinated by ants?
22:32 Because there are a lot of exotic animals, right?
22:34 Yes, I've been doing my ant channel since 2009.
22:38 Wow!
22:39 Since 2009, okay.
22:40 In 2009, before my comedy content.
22:43 What got you started with ants? Why ants?
22:46 I like ants because they're like people.
22:54 They make societies, millions of members.
22:58 They have a garbage site, they put other garbage in one area.
23:05 They have a graveyard, a cemetery.
23:08 You know, they're like people.
23:10 And when you have an ant colony, it's like watching a city of people.
23:15 Wow!
23:16 Is there any other exotic animal in the house, aside from ants?
23:20 What other exotic animals?
23:24 I have guana, parrots, some abon, I forgot, tarantula.
23:36 Oh wow!
23:37 I have ahas.
23:39 I went to his condo before.
23:42 I interviewed Mikey in his condo in Makati.
23:45 There are animals like that.
23:47 But of course, for those who are interested in these kinds of things,
23:50 do you have formal training or special training in handling these animals?
23:54 No, actually.
23:57 It was just all self-taught.
23:59 Okay.
24:00 Reading on the internet, reading online.
24:03 I even wrote a book on ants and how to take care of them.
24:06 That's great.
24:09 Mikey, I have a question.
24:11 What's your advice to our viewers who are getting irritated?
24:15 I don't know how to say "irritated" in English.
24:17 I know.
24:20 You get it, right?
24:21 Because for them, ants are pests.
24:23 We get irritated by ants, right?
24:25 Yes.
24:27 There are thousands of species of ants.
24:30 And here in our house, the new ant that I found,
24:36 it's the 555 species of ants.
24:39 And only a handful of ants are the ones you see in the house.
24:43 The rest are non-pests.
24:48 So, they're very important in the ecosystem.
24:52 That's what we should remember.
24:54 And if you're being irritated, you're sweet, right?
24:57 That's important.
24:59 And you're lucky if you're black, right?
25:01 Is that so?
25:03 Yeah, that's what they say.
25:05 Can I have some?
25:07 [Laughter]
25:09 So, Mikey, what direction are you heading to when it comes to doing content?
25:15 Because you have a discovery now.
25:19 You're a scientist.
25:21 Are you Mikey the Scientist?
25:23 Yeah.
25:24 Well, actually, I will just keep doing what I love.
25:27 So, the music, like, people here in the Philippines know me for that channel.
25:33 But Ants Canada has been going since 2009, so I'll just keep doing that, too.
25:38 It's also my business, so I'll just do everything, everything that I love.
25:43 Yes.
25:44 That's great.
25:45 We have a lot of questions.
25:47 I don't have a content plan.
25:49 Which is good because I will learn so much from you, right?
25:52 In different areas.
25:53 You never know, he might discover a new species of ants.
25:56 Oh, yes.
25:57 Actually, there's one species of ant that might be a new species that we found in our yard.
26:04 Oh, we'll keep an eye on that.
26:06 Yeah, so, hoping.
26:07 Hoping.
26:08 All right.
26:09 Thank you.
26:10 You heard that first in my news.
26:11 Thank you so much for your time, Mikey Bustos.
26:13 Thank you.
26:14 Thank you.
26:15 Thank you.
26:16 Bye.
26:17 [Music]
26:20 Meanwhile, here in my news, we'll be tackling the discards that can be used for earning money,
26:25 like this question I have for you.
26:27 Here, Rafi, are you fond of junk food?
26:31 That's what I want to avoid.
26:33 I think we all became fragile at one point.
26:37 Do you know that in Kalasyaw, Pangasinan, there are discarded healthy chips that can be used for business?
26:44 Here it is. Let's watch it in Balitang Hatid by Claire Lacanilao of GMA Regional TV 1 North Central Luzon.
26:51 Are you looking for junk food that is not guilty of being unhealthy?
26:59 This is the alternative snack made by some kids in Kalasyaw, Pangasinan.
27:05 The tofu chips.
27:07 How do you make this?
27:09 Roast the sesame seeds in a pan.
27:13 Then, mix the flour in a bowl.
27:16 Roast the sesame seeds, sugar, tofu, salt, and egg.
27:21 Mash and mash until it becomes a dough.
27:24 Flatten and crush in a small diamond shape using a knife or pizza slicer.
27:30 You can now deep fry it in hot oil until it becomes golden brown.
27:34 And depending on your taste, you can add flavoring.
27:37 Crunchy.
27:39 Mmm, it's so good.
27:40 To be honest, I don't like tofu, but when I tasted the tofu chips, I liked it.
27:45 And compared to regular snacks, it is rich in nutrients like protein, calcium, and vitamin D.
27:51 Because of the health benefits it brings, it is a great snack for kids or for business.
27:55 That's the news. Claire Lacanilao of GMA Regional TV 1 North Central Luzon.
28:07 Here's the latest news.
28:10 Alden Richards and Julia Montes are now filling Cloud 9
28:14 because of their support for their first movie project, "5 Breakups and a Romance."
28:19 We are thankful because our efforts are not put to waste
28:25 because of the reception we've been getting from the excited viewers.
28:29 We are so happy with this project.
28:31 And we saw the acceptance of the people.
28:36 That's what Alden and Julia said when I interviewed them at Sparkle Caravan
28:40 at the Lyceum of the Philippines University.
28:43 The movie is not yet starting, but I witnessed the passionate support
28:48 from the Alden and Julia Love Team and their genuine friendship.
28:53 The kissing scene of Alden and Julia, which was posted on TikTok by Director Antonette Hadawne,
29:01 is now coming to a close. "5 Breakups and a Romance" is a collaboration
29:06 with GMA Pictures, Cornerstone Studios, and Myriad Entertainment.
29:11 I heard that Brazil is the favorite country for a father.
29:20 He didn't pass puberty, but he got a kiss on his chest.
29:24 But we're not talking about kids here.
29:28 We're talking about the chicken that's laying eggs.
29:31 The boys, Rubens Braz, the agronomist, noticed that the big old chickens
29:37 look like mini-me, the usual chicken.
29:40 But when compared to a 2-year-old, it's almost the same size.
29:46 This breed is called Giant Indian Roosters.
29:51 You can make it a pet malung pet or a meat eater.
29:56 If you cook it, it'll make you dance to the music.
30:02 It's big.
30:04 Meanwhile, Braz's business in a remote area has stopped due to a flu crisis.
30:09 But an adult rooster's business is now reaching more than P200,000,
30:15 while a tray of fertile eggs is worth almost P4,000.
30:19 -See? -Giant.
30:21 It's amazing.
30:25 GMA Network is still leading in Facebook and TikTok.
30:29 GMA has 24 billion combined views from January to August, 2023,
30:35 based on the data of the Popular Labs.
30:37 On Facebook, GMA's consolidated video views of news and entertainment pages
30:42 are more than 18 billion.
30:44 Its recorded views on TikTok are more than 5 billion for both times.
30:50 Netizens are also continuing to support Kapuso Network for the latest news
30:55 and stories of inspiration, not only on television but also online.
31:00 This August, GMA Public Affairs' official Facebook page reached more than 199 million views
31:08 and GMA News' Facebook page got 194 million views.
31:13 Some drivers and operators of jeeps in Bulacan have called.
31:19 They are demanding a rollback because of the rising diesel prices.
31:22 They are demanding a rollback because of the rising diesel prices.
31:24 Even though there is a fuel subsidy, they are not accepting it.
31:28 Some drivers and operators of jeeps in Bulacan have said
31:31 that they have not been receiving a fuel subsidy for a long time.
31:35 The LTFRB said that they have already deposited the fund for 50,000 beneficiaries in the land bank yesterday.
31:42 It is now dependent on the speed of the bank.
31:45 The transport group added that even if they receive the aid, their losses will not be repaid.
31:51 They said that a rollback would be more helpful than the aid.
31:54 News reporters are saying that it is possible for us to have a new map.
32:00 Senator Francis Colentino said that they will form a list of 10-line maps issued by China this August.
32:07 The new Senate Special Committee on Maritime and Administrative Zones will have five hearings to discuss the map.
32:15 The new map will include the Exclusive Economic Zones, Continental Shelf, and other territories in the Philippines in the West Philippine Sea,
32:23 in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea or UNCLOS, and the 2016 Arbitral Ruling.
32:29 It will also include the Philippine Rise or the former Benham Rise in the east of the country.
32:33 The National Security Council said that they also have a map of the Philippines in accordance with international laws.
32:40 Colentino and the NSC cannot clarify if they are forming a single map.
32:46 Meanwhile, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said that the former Negros Oriental Third District Representative Arnie Tevez is still in Southeast Asia.
32:58 He is moving to Cambodia, Thailand, and the East-West where he was previously welcomed by the political asylum.
33:05 He is also protected by local warlords.
33:09 Under ASEAN, he can help other member countries to catch the terrorist who was declared by the Anti-Terrorism Council.
33:19 The DOJ will also write to the United Nations to ask for help from other countries to bring Tevez back to the Philippines.
33:26 On September 5, the Manila Regional Trial Court issued an arrest warrant for Tevez and three other people
33:33 who were involved in the murder of the former Negros Oriental Governor Ruel De Gamo and other people.
33:38 The new statement is that Tevez is trying to get a new camp.
33:42 But he said before that he had nothing to do with the murder of De Gamo.
33:52 Rocky has a skill that can be bought.
33:56 He is a dog keeper in Sindangan Zamboanga del Norte.
34:00 His talent is to receive packages for his fur parent.
34:05 That's great.
34:06 Rocky is a cute one.
34:08 He is a cream white golden retriever.
34:11 His skill is to receive parcels.
34:14 He started when one of the parcels received by his fur parent, Cyrell Jones Siblao, fell in April.
34:22 Rocky picked it up and followed him.
34:25 And when someone delivered again, Cyrell left the parcel at the gate because he was doing something.
34:32 He was surprised because Rocky took the parcel and brought it to him.
34:37 Now, Rocky is his official order receipt.
34:41 Wow, Rocky, you rock!
34:43 If you have a news that you want to send to GMA Integrated News,

34:56 That's great.
34:57 Our dog looks like he's tired.
35:00 He's asking for a lot of parcels.
35:02 I'm not the only one.
35:03 I'm not the only one who's delivering.
35:05 Maybe because you're asking for a big parcel.
35:07 No, it's just small.
35:09 But Rocky looks happy because he's just playing.
35:15 They say we don't deserve dogs.
35:18 They're good at being loyal and gentle.
35:23 Be kind to animals.
35:25 Maybe Rocky's fur parent will be pressured to order more parcels.
35:29 So that Rocky can get a receipt.
35:32 Katrina is also a fur parent.
35:35 She has a lot of pets.
35:37 What are your pets?
35:39 I have a golden retriever.
35:40 Katrina has a grooming service.
35:43 You should also train your golden retriever.
35:47 I sometimes bring it here.
35:49 Really?
35:50 Yes.
35:51 Aubrey, do you have a pet?
35:53 I don't.
35:54 Ants, ants.
