Reggie Flood Speaks On Southern Jaguars' Loss To Jackson State

00:00 Reg, talk about the SU Nation. You brought up the fans came out, sell out

00:06 proud and there may be some disappointment. What's your thoughts?

00:10 I think there is disappointment. If you go out and you walk out among the people

00:16 it's not very often that you find silence among the Jaguar Nation and it's

00:22 stunned silence right now. I think a lot of people came out looking forward to

00:27 this game. A hard sellout and if you saw the crowd on television or if you

00:33 saw if you were among the crowd you saw there wasn't a seat in the house and I

00:37 think there's a lot of disappointment with the team to come out and perform

00:41 the way that they did. I think the fan base even though it's 0-2, two games

00:46 that don't count still can make it win the SWAG championship, still can win the

00:50 Celebration Bowl but I don't think the fans are buying into that.

00:55 What are some, let's do it like this, what are three keys that you think these

01:01 guys need to do to help turn this around? Number one I think for Southern

01:07 for the team it's playing a complete game. You see a team that goes up and

01:13 down, they're flat then they come out and they you know they are enthusiastic

01:17 then they go flat again. They're an up-and-down team. One thing they need to

01:21 find a way to keep to stay on an even keel. Execution, that's one thing we've

01:28 noticed. They don't execute very well on a consistent basis. We saw last week we

01:34 saw as the offense, this week we saw as the offense and we saw as the defense. We saw

01:38 as special teams in week one that didn't execute. They have to play in three all

01:43 three phases of the game and execute well so execution is a key to that game,

01:47 is a key. I think the last thing is they're gonna have to be committed to

01:53 doing whatever it takes to win ballgames. I think a lot of a reason the

01:57 fan base is a little bit perturbed or disgusted is because they don't perceive

02:03 them as giving a full effort on every play and if they're not giving a full

02:08 effort on every play then they're not going to win many ballgames and I think

02:12 a lot of the fans look at that and that's how they feel. It may not be, I'm

02:16 sure it's not the case to the players and to the coaching staff but to the fan
