00:00 Following the Danny Masterson sentence, questionable moments have surfaced involving Ashton Kutcher.
00:05 People online are especially criticizing the actor for claiming that "everyone" was
00:09 waiting for Hilary Duff to be 18 years old back in a 2003 interview.
00:17 Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have been receiving heat online after their apology video for
00:22 writing letters to a judge.
00:24 We support victims.
00:25 We have done this historically through our work and will continue to do so in the future.
00:30 And now, due to the backlash, questionable moments from Kutcher's past are coming to
00:34 light.
00:35 It's Dan LaJuani reporting with the details.
00:36 Back in 2003, Kutcher was prominently known for his time on Punk'd, the hit show where
00:40 celebrities went along with high-stakes pranks on MTV.
00:44 As of late, viewers noticed some strange comments that came from the show, including one where
00:48 Kutcher claimed everyone was "waiting" for 16-year-old Hilary Duff to turn 18.
00:52 Hilary Duff is in Lizzie McGuire, she also has an album out, she's going to be in a
00:58 movie called Cheaper by the Dozen, and she's one of the girls that we're all waiting for
01:04 to turn 18, along with the Olsen twins.
01:07 In addition, in a joint interview with The Rosie O'Donnell Show back in 2002, Kutcher's
01:12 now-wife Mila Kunis revealed Masterson had bet Kutcher to French kiss her while on the
01:16 set of That '70s Show.
01:18 At the time, Kutcher was 19 years old and Kunis was only 14.
01:22 In the interview, Kunis stated, "It was like the first week.
01:25 I was a 14-year-old little girl and I was extremely scared for my life.
01:29 Danny goes, 'Dude, I'll give you $10 if you French kiss her.'"
01:33 But it doesn't stop there.
01:35 Kutcher chimed in during this interview and claimed Masterson in fact bet him $20, instead
01:39 claiming he couldn't do it.
01:41 Users online have gone on to point out Kutcher's anti-sex trafficking organization, Thorne,
01:46 and how other questionable comments have come out about the company as well.
01:50 For background, Thorne uses a technology product called Spotlight, which uses facial recognition
01:54 to scrape the internet of escort ads and make a database of anyone involved in sex work.
02:00 Thorne then sells this data to law enforcement.
02:02 Many have gone on to point out that Kutcher allegedly spread "bogus statistics" to
02:07 raise awareness for his organization.
02:09 Back in 2011, Kutcher told CNN that "100,000 to 300,000 kids are sex-trafficked every year
02:15 in the U.S."
02:16 The data was claimed to be inflated based on a 2001 study, which actually stated that
02:21 this was the number of children instead at risk.
02:23 Now some called this incident a situation where Kutcher tried to "financially benefit"
02:28 from this interview with this company.
02:30 And many are also calling the actions of Kutcher and Kunis writing letters to Masterson's
02:34 credibility for a lesser sentence "hypocritical" due to organizations such as this one.
