VP Duterte trades barbs vs. lawmakers from the Senate, House on confidential funds

00:10 The second highest official of the land thanked those who supported her request for confidential funds, while had stinging words for opposition lawmakers who grilled her and gave her a hard time.

00:27 Vice President Sara Duterte traded barbs against lawmakers both from the Senate and the House on the issue of confidential funds.
00:36 She claimed the Makabayan bloc and Representative Franz Castro keep telling lies on the office of the Vice President's confidential funds last year.
00:46 VP Duterte also hit Senator Risa Hontiveros. To quote, "Senator Risa Hontiveros, while she amuses the nation with her flair for drama, could only wish the 2022 confidential funds was accessed legally."
01:01 Duterte added, "It's a shame they still cannot produce a proof to support their alleged dirty or malicious imagination."
01:09 Hontiveros had this response in reply.
01:12 "Hindi kayo special. If you're so confident about those confidential funds, then defend them publicly."
01:21 Castro, meanwhile, responded by saying she only laid out or spoke of the facts on confidential funds.
01:28 Meanwhile, one of VP Duterte's allies said, "During the OVP and DepEd's budget hearing in the Senate for 2024, the issue on confidential funds was explained well."
