00:00 There is a ton of pressure on a lot of different teams this season to make it to the postseason.
00:07 As quarterback Dak Prescott would say, pressure is a privilege.
00:10 But are there any coaches on hot seats if their team doesn't make the postseason?
00:16 Dak Prescott?
00:17 I mean, I think there's two really, really hot seats and they've both come out of the
00:23 NFC East.
00:24 And that's Mike McCarthy of the Cowboys and that's Ron Rivera of the Commanders.
00:28 You know, Rivera, highly respected, he came to Washington in 2020 and got into the playoffs
00:34 with Taylor Heineke and he was a feel-good story.
00:37 They had Chase Young, defensive rookie of the year, and they had this foundation built.
00:41 They almost beat Brady and the Bucks in the playoffs.
00:44 They didn't have a winning record in that weird year in the NFC East.
00:48 But Ron Rivera's been there three years and has not had a winning record yet.
00:52 He's got to have a winning record.
00:53 He's going to trust Sam Howell, his quarterback, to do it this year.
00:56 I think his seat is hot and I think McCarthy's is too.
00:59 I know that's a popular thing to say, but you know, the Cowboys every year feels like
01:05 they run up these gaudy offensive stats.
01:07 They've got Pro Bowlers on both sides of the ball and they've got all this money shut out.
01:11 Now they're bringing in Stephon Gilmore on defense.
01:13 They're bringing in Brandon Cooks on offense.
01:15 Dak's going to get a new contract.
01:17 It's all set up to finally not lose to San Francisco in the playoffs.
01:21 If that happens again, Jerry Jones is 81 years old during the season.
01:25 He's not going to be like, I've been banging my head against this wall.
01:28 My brother's got to get to the NFC Championship at some point.
01:33 It's set up for him this year.
01:34 If he doesn't do it, I mean, Jerry's a patient man, but-
01:37 >> He's a big but.
01:39 >> Yeah.
