Despite some 400 million infections globally annually, there’s still no specific treatment for dengue. In order to accelerate R&D on dengue therapeutics, the Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative formed The Global Dengue Alliance with several institutions in dengue-endemic countries, including Malaysia’s Ministry of Health, with the mission to deliver a new treatment for dengue within five years.
