00:00 The LTO, the transportation office, said that after the backlog of vehicles and driver's license in the next year,
00:07 it will be charged to the camera for the P214 billion budget requested by the Department of Transportation for 2024.

00:18 For the development of new and former railways in the country to be sustainable and not to be disrupted,
00:28 the Transportation Department is asking for more than double the budget last year for the next year.
00:34 Most of the budget will go to railway projects,
00:38 but those who will approve it on camera are being left out.
00:42 What about the other expenses of the government?
00:46 That includes the backlog of vehicle and driver's license plates.
00:50 But for the plates, the delivery of plates is continuous and we do the production.
00:55 We have limited district offices and extension offices.
00:59 We're working with the manpower that we have in order to be able to distribute these plates at the quickest possible time.
01:06 They say the target is to reduce the backlog in the next year.
01:11 By the first quarter of the year, we would have already removed the backlog as far as four-wheeled vehicles are concerned.
01:17 For motorcycles, it's one year, seven months.
01:22 There was also a delay in issuing plastic driver's license due to the court's order.
01:27 If the TRO is lifted, in four months' time, we would have already erased the backlog.
01:33 A judge from Mindanao has raised the issue of the Lagindingan Airport fund.
