Liverpool’s start to 23/24 Premier League assessed
A positive start after a difficult run of games.

00:00 So, Will, just on Liverpool and their first four games in the Premier League,
00:04 what do you sort of see? How have they started?
00:07 Because it seems, similarly, I'm looking at their form,
00:09 and it is quite a few greens, which is positive for them.
00:13 Yeah, I think the start they were dealt with as well.
00:16 I think they'll be more than pleased, to be honest with you.
00:20 Ten points from open four games.
00:22 And even, you know, you may be looking at that Chelsea game now,
00:26 thinking, did they let that slip there?
00:28 But given what has happened over the summer,
00:30 they didn't have many bodies available for that game,
00:33 probably was a fair result.
00:34 But, yeah, as you say, it was a start that wasn't the easiest.
00:38 Yeah, but maybe they haven't been at their very best.
00:43 I think we spoke recently about that.
00:45 Chelsea and, obviously, Newcastle, it was a raid that had action,
00:49 and hit them on the break twice.
00:50 Bournemouth, they were OK.
00:52 Had to settle into the game after a tough start,
00:55 but they were superb against Aston Villa.
00:56 So, a man, they were excellent.
00:58 Real good team performance,
01:00 and real good individual performances as well.
01:02 And that was the performance you really wanted to see
01:04 before the international break,
01:05 because you were just wondering, well,
01:07 have they got that in the locker?
01:08 They might be able to take a long,
01:09 but are they able to put good quality sides to the sword?
01:13 And, yeah, they certainly did against Villa.
01:15 As I say, they were excellent, really.
01:19 So many good performances on the day.
01:22 And, yeah, the international break
01:23 probably comes at the wrong time of year,
01:25 and Kloppy will be a bit peeved.
01:28 It's coming now, because they just started
01:29 building that momentum, Liverpool.
01:30 But, yeah, as I say, I think it took Liverpool
01:34 seven games to get to ten points last season,
01:36 and they're already there after four of this.
01:37 So, it's an improvement already.
