Lamborghini Lanzador Unveil during The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering

  • last year
Automobili Lamborghini unveiled the company’s first pure-electric fourth-model concept, the Lanzador, a high-ground-clearance Gran Turismo with 2+2 seats, yesterday at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. The all-electric concept car combines the ultra-high-performance elements of the flagship Revuelto and the versatility of the Urus, while featuring an unparalleled on-board experience via new infotainment features.

The Lanzador is an all-wheel-drive concept that includes an electric motor on each axle ensuring permanent all-electric drive in every condition, surface and driving style, with peak power of more than one megawatt. The energy is provided by a new generation high-performance battery, which also ensures a long range. The designers have transferred the company philosophy on sustainable materials to the interior, which does not jeopardize the luxury look and feel or quality and durability. With no compromises in terms of power, driving pleasure and performance, this is an all-electric Lamborghini that customers can enjoy every day.

00:00 Buongiorno, buongiorno signore e signori and welcome to Lamborghini.
00:07 You know this is a very special year for us because we are celebrating our 60th anniversary.
00:15 And for a lot this is an opportunity to look back, but for us it's an opportunity mainly to look forward.
00:23 And this is good because we are in the best shape ever.
00:28 And if we look into what is going to happen, we have a clear strategy which we call "Cortauri", "Direzione Cortauri".
00:37 And the first car which came out of this strategy is the Lamborghini Revelto.
00:42 It's a V12 plug-in hybrid.
00:45 And we are in the year 2024, so next year all the line-up will be hybridized.
00:52 So also the Urus and the follow-up of the Huracan.
00:57 But we are already planning the next step. We are looking forward into the year 2028.
01:03 And by doing this we will have the first electric car which will be an add-on, so maybe a new model, an additional model, and model number 4.
01:14 And today I am going to show you what this car will look like.
01:20 And now I am asking on stage Ruben Mohr, our Chief Technical Officer, and Dieter Borchardt, our Head of Design. Please welcome.
01:49 Thank you very much.
01:51 Ladies and gentlemen, the Lamborghini Lanzador.
01:56 Even if it's a concept car, we are naming this car after the name of a fighting bull.
02:03 So it's the best Lamborghini tradition.
02:06 This bull fought in the arena of Madrid in 1993, and it was named the best of the show, the best of that day.
02:15 And if you look at the car, you can see something which we had at the very beginning of Lamborghini.
02:21 Because the first car we launched back in 60 years back was the 350 GT. It was a 2 door 2+2.
02:28 And this is a 2 door 2+2 car, but with a higher seating position and with more ground clearance.
02:36 So it's really the blending of the best out of the worlds we have put here together.
02:42 And also in terms of body style, it's completely new.
02:45 Because if you look at the design, it's clearly recognizable as a Lamborghini.
02:50 We have the kept forward design, we have the signature line which is forward, which is stretching all over the car from the beginning to the end.
02:59 And very typical for Lamborghini, when you see the glass, we call it in our technical language, "Main House".
03:07 It's very square, and this is very typical for Lamborghini.
03:10 So these are the elements where you can clearly recognize a Lamborghini.
03:16 Now, 5 years before the car is hitting the market, it's a bit too early to speak about technical details.
03:24 But I can tell you that we are working on active aerodynamics, we are working on torque vectoring,
03:31 and we are working on all the things which are going to be innovational with the electric era coming up.
03:40 But one data I want to give you, at least this car will have 1 MW when it's hitting the market.
03:47 But if you look at the lineup, all the cars are very successful in our lineup.
03:52 Starting with the Rivalto, which we launched earlier this year as I said, it's a high performance electric vehicle.
03:59 It has a 1015 horsepower, and so far it's been accepted in an exceptional way from the market.
04:07 Then on my right hand side we have the Huracán Cerrado, which is the last day when we are going out of the Huracán.
04:14 And it's a car which is good for road, but also good off the road.
04:19 And this is only something Lamborghini could do, because it's something really exceptional.
04:24 And then on the far right side we have the Urus Performante. The Urus Performante is the even sportier version of the Urus.
04:32 It's lower, it's wider, and it's lighter.
04:35 Ladies and gentlemen, important to know is that whatever is going to happen, we will always build dream cars.
04:43 This means that we will have cars filled with technological innovations,
04:47 we will have cars which will be always outstanding in terms of design, always different, but always very recognizable as a Lamborghini.
04:57 And when it comes to performance, our performance will be good or the best in terms of numbers,
05:03 when we speak about acceleration, we speak about the braking time, or the lap time.
05:09 But even more important, they will be very emotional in terms of performance.
05:14 So, thank you very much. Forza Lamborghini!
05:19 And before we end the show, I would like to ask my team here on stage also.
05:24 Thank you very much!
05:26 Thank you very much!
05:28 Thank you.
