00:00 Around the fire at the Aboriginal tent embassy, the referendum is not a burning issue.
00:07 We don't agree to the yes or the no campaign. We're here asserting our rights as sovereign people.
00:11 A vote for a nation not recognised at this embassy.
00:15 To tell you the truth, I don't even vote in this country. I don't consider myself an Australian citizen. I consider myself a Radri and Gomoroi.
00:23 In the shadow of federal parliament, former political sparring partners united for yes.
00:28 Well, Gary and I go way back on issues like this. You know, people come together.
00:35 I think this issue, as Katie said, is bigger than politics.
00:40 As the pollies tried to sweeten the yes vote, grassroots campaigners welcomed the political sugar hit.
00:46 We're energised knowing that we have a definitive date and we have something to work towards now.
00:50 For Ngunnawal woman Aunty Jude Barlow, there's a fear of the status quo.
00:54 I just feel that if this doesn't get up, I will never see anything of its like again in my lifetime.
01:01 And hope for change.
01:03 I believe in Australia. I believe in our ability, like they did in '67, to see what's important for the future of this country.
01:16 While the no campaign seems to be focused elsewhere, the yes campaign will stay on message in the ACT.
01:22 This is your chance to be in that history book or to be a part of history, to change our highest legal binding document.
01:28 But history hasn't caught up to everyone yet.
01:31 Have you made your mind up yet?
01:33 No, no, no, I have not. I've got no clue about the referendum at all.
01:36 Campaigning still to be done.
01:38 done.
