00:09 Hi there, I'm Sam Heughan.
00:10 I'm here with Esquire, and today I'm going to make you a Sassenach Bramble Cocktail.
00:21 Do I remember the first time I made this cocktail or drank this cocktail?
00:24 No, this might be the first time I've ever made it, so I'm excited to give it a go.
00:28 A bramble, very refreshing cocktail.
00:30 I'd say it's a kind of summery drink, but also the blackberry liqueur that we're going
00:34 to put in there gives it this rich fruitiness.
00:36 I think it really complements our gin really well, so what time's the best time to drink

00:41 Anytime.
00:42 Normally, we'd like to garnish a bramble with a big, fat blackberry.
00:46 A bramble's what we call in Scotland a blackberry, but to be honest, we're in New York.
00:49 They don't even have fresh fruit here, so I'm not going to put a blackberry on it.
00:52 We're going to use two ounces of this beautiful gin.
00:55 I need one of these guys as well.
00:57 I forgot about that.
00:58 I'm going to put two of those in there.
01:00 Lemon juice, freshly squeezed.
01:01 I think we're using an ounce of lemon juice.
01:04 And some simple syrup.
01:05 You can make simple syrup at home.
01:07 Pretty simple.
01:08 Two teaspoons of that.
01:09 I'm going to just give it a little dash like that.
01:12 Shake.
01:13 Some ice.
01:14 I'm going to use some big cubes.
01:18 Try not to cut this all over yourself.

01:32 Top that up, maybe with some more ice.
