00:30 >> We want to encourage Kenyans to continue to have faith in this team.
00:35 If you-- the cameras I'm sure will have focused on National Dialogue Committee.
00:40 We've given ourselves an acronym, NADCO.

00:55 >> And I can tell you the gelling is tremendous and that's why we are making progress.
01:01 We thank our technical teams and indeed we thank both houses of parliament,
01:10 the National Assembly and the Senate because they have now given their unanimous approval
01:16 and support to the work of this team.
01:19 So, yeah, we're going to sign the framework agreement soon after this
01:25 and we're also going to sign agreement on the issues that will be presented.
01:30 And we're going to tell Kenyans what to do next.
01:33 We continue to reiterate that this is serious national work.
01:39 Whenever there's a moment that this country should come together, it is now.
01:42 And we are determined as a team to make sure that happens.
01:48 And we continue to tell Kenyans to ignore the naysayers.
01:51 There will always be those who do not-- who feel threatened for whatever reason
01:56 by something so illustrious because this is wonderful work.
02:01 And we're going to move very, very fast.
02:05 A lot of work will be happening also.
02:08 I think sometime we've agreed on the work plan again, the dates and everything,
02:13 and when to have stakeholder engagement, for example, that is clear.
02:18 And so we are ready to sign, we are ready to go.
02:21 A lot more work remains to be done.
02:24 And therefore when we call on stakeholders,
02:29 I'm sure every Kenyan will know they are stakeholders.
02:33 Thank you.
02:36 The Senate passed the motion yesterday without any amendments,
02:38 as passed by the National Assembly.
02:40 And that therefore puts in motion the 60 days that we say
02:44 we have appreciated the Senate for the work they put in yesterday.
02:49 And recognize that now our 60 days begin ticking from yesterday.
02:54 And that is why we reaffirm our commitment to complete this process
02:58 within the set timelines.
03:00 We have adjourned to Friday this week at 10 a.m.
03:05 to allow the Secretariat and the technical teams
03:09 to work on prioritization of the issues,
03:12 and guide us on how we prioritize, what issues do we begin with,
03:15 so we'll be able to communicate that decision once we meet again on Friday.
03:20 On the question of whether we are able to stop the selection panel,
03:24 we are not writing to them to stop doing their work.
03:28 It's just to take what has been described by the Rabbi Eugene Omaro
03:32 as judicial notice of the ongoings of this National Dialogue team.
03:36 Therefore, even as they progress their work,
03:39 then they take note that it's part of the issues that we are engaging on.
