00:44 But spring is the most unpredictable of all seasons

01:03 Temperatures regularly range from minus 10 to 20 degrees.
01:09 So to achieve success here, animals
01:11 have to battle with the extremes.
01:18 It's all about timing.
01:19 Mate, nest, or give birth at the wrong time,
01:31 and lives can be lost.
01:32 But get it right, and these mountains, forests, and rivers
01:46 provide the perfect place to raise the next generation.
