00:00 I don't know how much things have changed.
00:04 I think, you know, the world is a very beautiful place
00:09 at times and a very harsh and ugly place at times.
00:15 And I don't think that has changed.
00:18 - So when you think about the police for a start,
00:21 what do you think?
00:22 In comparison to how it was in the 80s.
00:25 - They haven't changed either.
00:26 You know, they have an organization, a fraternity,
00:31 and I believe their philosophy is make it home safe
00:37 no matter what.
00:39 And that's where the crossroads are
00:44 because sometimes making it home safe,
00:48 officers don't mind breaking the law to make it home safe
00:54 as long as they win the encounter.
00:58 I think the ideas in the contract with black America
01:01 are not that radical.
01:03 You know, I think it's common sense.
01:05 - No tax for black people is pretty radical, isn't it?
01:07 - Well, you know, when you look at how we've been violated
01:12 in so many different ways in America,
01:18 financially is one of them,
01:24 but you can't really repay that back.
01:27 If you have reparations in your heart
01:30 in some way, shape or form,
01:32 that could be one idea of giving relief
01:37 without giving money.
01:39 You see what I mean?
01:40 But, you know, I don't think it's a radical idea.
01:44 You know, they make a lot of organizations tax exempt.
01:52 A lot of big businesses don't pay taxes.
01:55 So it's not that radical.
01:56 It's, to me, it's the will of the people
02:01 and the will of government to make it right.
02:07 - That's the point, isn't it?
02:08 I mean, 'cause I mean, do you feel disappointed
02:09 with the government that they haven't done more?
02:10 Because they said they wouldn't look at it.
02:12 - I've been disappointed with the government
02:14 since I was born.
02:15 My father was disappointed with the government, his father.
02:19 So that's nothing new.
02:21 You know, that's just a regular day in America.
02:25 The system is not gonna break the loop
02:27 because the loop feeds the system.
02:31 - So how does it break?
02:32 I mean, does it need an outsider?
02:34 Does it need a third candidate?
02:35 Does it need a, you know,
02:36 how do you get out of this cycle?
02:38 - You probably do need a third candidate.
02:44 You probably do need the people to,
02:49 to show that these both parties
02:54 that America deals with, Republican Party,
02:58 Democratic Party, to really show them that
03:02 we don't have to take what you dish.
