00:00 There's no denying it's been a tumultuous few years
00:02 for the stars of "Sister Wives."
00:04 As season 18 kicks off,
00:05 only one of the four marriages seems to be secure.
00:08 I wanted to sit on a porch with my sister wives,
00:13 with our kids and our grandkids.
00:18 Cody's remaining wife, Robin,
00:19 is reflecting on the unique position she finds herself in.
00:23 The wife left standing.
00:24 That's what Cody calls me, the wife left standing.
00:29 The wife that stuck it out or something.
00:32 I don't remember what he says,
00:33 but it's along those lines.
00:35 I mean, Cody and I have an agreement
00:38 that if we decide we don't wanna be married anymore,
00:40 we're not gonna hold each other up.
00:42 But I never thought that I wanted to leave the marriage, no.
00:45 I just know how much I love Cody,
00:50 and I know he's a good guy, and he's doing his best.
00:54 I don't think anybody should be married
00:57 while they're going through a divorce.
00:59 Anybody who's gone through a divorce
01:02 knows that it brings out the worst in you,
01:06 and sides of somebody that you didn't know existed
01:10 type of a thing.
01:10 And I always look at divorce as kind of like,
01:15 'cause I've been divorced myself,
01:16 and so I always look at divorce as like the opposite
01:19 of all of the effort and the beauty and the wonder
01:22 and the happiness of marriage.
01:23 It's like the opposite of that.
01:26 And it's been very difficult.
01:31 And even though her marriage is still intact,
01:33 she admits she's been very emotional
01:35 about the other relationship's ending.
01:37 I feel like we've failed.
01:38 I feel like we,
01:39 I am embarrassed that we showed our family to the world
01:46 and then that we can't keep ourselves close together.
01:53 Like, that's really embarrassing,
01:55 and I feel like that we failed
01:57 because this was the commitment that we made,
01:59 and we were all in this,
02:01 and we all made this choice to do this.
02:04 There is a weird feeling of like,
02:06 this was the agreement,
02:09 this was the unspoken, well, even spoken agreement,
02:11 spoken and unspoken agreement to be together
02:15 and end up together and always be a family.
02:18 And I just feel like, you know, people left.
02:22 I know that it doesn't fully make sense.
02:26 It's not completely logical, but it's emotional.
02:29 And so that's kind of how I feel.
02:34 With so much uncertainty,
02:35 Robyn says she's been keeping her focus on her children.
02:38 My biggest thing right now,
02:39 the only thing that kind of keeps me going is my kids.
02:42 And just seeing how well they're just
02:49 sort of figuring this out.
02:51 And they're dealing with their own heartache
02:54 and pain about it, but they're also, you know,
02:59 they're really great kids.
03:00 And so I just think about that a lot, and I focus on them.
03:04 And if any of the other children, you know,
03:08 want to be in our life, then I open my arms.
03:13 My arms are open completely, and I just,
03:20 it's weird 'cause like all these years with the family,
03:25 I had a future in my mind.
03:26 I saw it every night as I fell asleep.
03:29 You know, I was always focused on being out
03:33 on our property together,
03:34 and I could see us all out there in my mind.
03:37 And like, now I don't know what my future is.
03:42 It's a weird thing to say, and it's a weird thing to,
03:46 it's a weird thing to admit.
03:47 It's a hard thing to admit.
03:49 But right now, like, I'm trying to sort of find my future,
03:54 if that makes any sense.
