00:00 This is George Preston for Liverpool World. Just finished up with Sean Dyche at the press conference
00:04 ahead of Everton's game against Wolves this weekend. Starting with team news, obviously the
00:08 topic of Dominic Calvert-Loon was first raised as obviously he came off last weekend against
00:12 Aston Villa with a suspected fractured cheekbone. Sean Dyche confirmed that he's seeing a specialist
00:16 tomorrow and they've had to wait for the swelling to go down which means he won't be able to play
00:20 this weekend even if a protective mask will be worn. Another blow for Everton was of course Alex
00:24 Owoobi who came up with a hamstring injury against Villa at the weekend. He won't be available for a
00:28 couple of weeks according to Sean Dyche as well which is another big blow for Everton. In terms of
00:33 the new signing Jack Harrison who came on loan from Leeds United a couple of weeks ago, he is still
00:37 not ready and he's on the pitch training but he's still building up his match fitness and won't be
00:40 available for a few weeks yet. Also not available are Seamus Coleman, Dwight McNeil and Dele Alli
00:45 who are ruled out of this game. Damari Gray hasn't featured so far this season, has been linked with
00:49 a move away and is unlikely to feature in the squad and there's also Andre Gomes who was not
00:53 available last week due to a tight calf who is also a doubt for this weekend. A huge topic for
00:57 Everton at the moment is transfers and the lack of. Sean Dyche was grilled by journalists today
01:02 about Che Adams who was close to signing last week in a £15 million deal but Sky News have
01:06 since reported that an £18 million valuation needs to be met before that deal can be completed.
01:10 Dyche was clearly frustrated about the lack of signing and spoke about why the Adams deal hasn't
01:14 happened yet by saying players don't come cheap and there are plenty of interested parties that
01:18 they have to satisfy in terms of agents, club and the player himself before deals can get done.
01:22 Dyche also had to field questions about the investment news that broke last night about
01:26 MSP Sports Capital pulling out of a deal with Everton but he refused to comment on that issue.
01:30 In terms of the game at the weekend against Wolves, they too have suffered back-to-back
01:34 defeats in their opening two games under Gary O'Neill against Manchester United and Brighton
01:38 last weekend. In terms of their games against Wolves last season, they suffered a late 2-1
01:42 heartbreak defeat under Frank Lampard on Boxing Day before they then travelled to Molineux under
01:46 Sean Dyche late in the season where a late Yerry Meaney equaliser secured a vital point which helped
01:51 them to avoid relegation. This weekend is looking like a difficult task for Dyche with plenty of
01:55 injuries to contend with but a win against Wolves at Goodison would certainly lift the spirits after
01:59 what has been a difficult start for the club.
