00:00 The recovered money was stolen from the Pogo Registry in Pasay
00:04 which is used to monitor various scams.
00:06 The money was worth billions of pesos
00:08 from the pre-registered SIM cards
00:10 which were allegedly hidden in the trash.
00:13 Here is my exclusive report.
00:16 This is how many SIM cards were stolen by the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission
00:25 in their raid scam hub in Pasay, Kamakailan.
00:28 But a tip was received by PAOK
00:31 that aside from the SIM cards that were stolen,
00:34 there are other SIM cards that were hidden.
00:36 We checked the trash cans and we saw that there were trash bags.
00:39 Maybe they were just waiting for the right timing and they will take them out.
00:42 In total, the authorities have already stolen 28,000 SIM cards.
00:47 All of them are registered and have their verified e-wallet account.
00:51 We were just wondering why we have these pre-registered cards
00:56 that can be used by kidnappers, online scammers,
01:01 and illegal online games.
01:05 We think that if these things spread,
01:09 we will not be able to handle the amount of online crimes that are happening now,
01:14 the scams.
01:16 According to PAOK, each e-wallet account has a lot of money.
01:20 The lowest amount is about 100,000.
01:24 The highest amount is 500,000.
01:26 So there are 28,000 of them.
01:28 So let's just say, a rough estimate, 100,000 x 28,000,
01:33 that runs in the billions.
01:35 The question is, where did the money come from and what is it for?
01:39 All of the money that they get, they give it to their victims,
01:42 they put it in a SIM card.
01:44 Minimum 100,000, maximum half a million.
01:47 Then they funnel it to a cell phone or a few cell phones that they collect.
01:51 They transfer it to a digital platform abroad.
01:54 This is included in what they use to complete the cycle of money transfer.
02:02 Aside from SIM cards, PAOK also has a collection of papers
02:06 where the e-wallet account numbers are written.
02:10 Who registered it?
02:11 How much is the contents and the passcode?
02:14 We're still in the process of digital forensic investigation.
02:17 We have to seek the help of the NTC to freeze the money.
02:21 We are continuing to seek and get the help of the Panigal National Telecommunications Commission and telecommunications companies.
02:26 Meanwhile, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin,
02:30 Senate Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla,
02:33 and Bureau of Immigration Commissioner Norman Tancingo
02:36 have already started the deportation of more than 200 foreigners who were arrested in the Omule Scam Hub in Pasay.
02:42 Bersamin also ordered the Anti-Money Laundering Council to freeze the asset of its operator.
02:48 The BI has issued a commitment order for 27 foreign detainees to be transferred to Pasay City Jail,
02:55 while the other eight high-value foreign nationals will remain in the Immigration Detention Center.
