00:14 continued the rotation and reprovisioning mission of the AFP

00:18 in the BRP Sierra Madre in Ayungin.

00:21 The Armed Forces of the Philippines is to demonstrate the well-being of its personnel

00:26 in the BRP Sierra Madre.

00:28 We are therefore committed to the conduct of another role revision of our personnel

00:34 and to maintain our presence in the UN zone.

00:38 This exercise of our sovereign rights and jurisdiction

00:43 is a testament to the firm belief in the rules-based international order

00:49 that underpins regional peace and stability.

00:52 But the AFP's clarity continues to defend the Philippines' right to the West Philippine Sea

01:01 Just recently, the Chinese Fishing Ban was lifted in the South China Sea.

01:07 Fishermen's boats of the so-called "nation" again sailed

01:11 and were worried that they would reach the territory of the Philippines.

01:15 Two things were pointed out by the Department of Foreign Affairs.

01:18 The Chinese Fishing Ban was not recognized and the so-called "nation" was immediately lifted

01:23 by banning fishing vessels from entering the exclusive economic zone of the Philippines.

01:32 or arresting illegal fishermen in our territory.

01:35 A professor and policy expert in the Asia-Pacific region, Richard Hader Yan,

01:41 condemned the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on the Philippines' right to the West Philippine Sea.

01:58 The decision of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Philippines in 2016 was approved

02:03 and the Philippines declared its exclusive right to the West Philippine Sea.

02:08 It also removed the 9-line of China.

02:12 It is not true that we did not do arbitration work. It gave us leverage.

02:17 The truth is that we did not maximize that leverage.

02:21 And for me, in fairness to President Marcos, I think he recently mentioned that

02:26 we are talking to our Vietnamese friends to potentially do what the Indonesian Vietnam is doing

02:32 which is to buy our time to border the limitation based on prevailing international law.
