00:00 A simple shot was fired at a checkpoint in Manila.

00:05 This was after a motorcycle driver was suddenly shot.

00:08 Joshua Garcia with the report.

00:10 People were blown up by the shots.

00:16 It was in St. Cruz, Manila last Friday night at 9 p.m.

00:20 Police had already placed a checkpoint there

00:23 while the operation was underway.

00:25 The people of the Maycick Police Station's Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit

00:29 blocked the two motorcycle drivers at the checkpoint.

00:32 But while one of them was about to get off the motorcycle,

00:34 a 45-caliber gun suddenly fired at the people of the TMRU.

00:41 When I was about to fire, I got up and the gun was already loaded.

00:46 I just fired and we were already hit.

00:49 When we got up, I saw the other one and we were already there.

00:53 One of the suspects, Wilfredo Marquez, was killed in the shot.

00:57 The civilian bystander, Rosemary Depadjon, was also injured.

01:00 She was hit by a stray bullet.

01:02 The second suspect, Bobby Alcunera, was also injured.

01:05 Police Corporal Raymarc Lorena was also injured.

01:08 She was hit by a bullet in the right eye.

01:09 Police Corporal Raymond Ocampo was also injured in the left ear.

01:13 The two guns, magazines and bullets were recovered from the crime scene.

01:17 Two slim bags containing personal belongings and IDs were recovered.

01:21 Meanwhile, the MPD is still investigating the incident

01:24 and the real identity of the two suspects.
