Ferrari V12 Engine, 497 Hp, Top Speed 290 Km/h, New RML (Ferrari) 250 SWB

First Production RML (Ferrari) 250 SWB Coming to USA,

The first production Ferrari-backed RML SWB comes in a choice of distinctive color combinations and will be shown to its American owner in Monterey before heading home.

The first production RML SWB (it is a modernized version of a Ferrari 250 GT SWB, although the company cannot say so for legal reasons) is ready to be handed over to its owner.

This means that the car will make the long journey from the UK to the USA, where it was handcrafted by a team of RML's finest craftsmen over the course of nine months. This is where the new owner will likely join his impressive collection of vehicles.

But before it finds its new home, it will be showcased at Monterey Car Week with the company's CEO, Michael Mallock. There it will be shown to classic car enthusiasts who can afford one of the 29 other examples RML plans to build.

The first production model was finished in distinctive three-layer yellow paint with dark metallic blue stripes. The Swedish color scheme is complemented by satin chrome accents and the color combination continues in the interior, where blue upholstery contrasts with yellow accents on the seams and elsewhere.

The magnificent restomod is powered by a 5.5-liter Ferrari V12 engine that produces 479 hp (357 kW/486 PS) and sends it to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. This can take the SWB off the line and accelerate to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.1 seconds, reaching a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).

While it looks classic from the outside, inside it has a variety of modern amenities such as power seats, air conditioning, navigation, smartphone connectivity and even cup holders. RML says that now that the first car is on its way to new owners, others will follow soon and deliveries will take place in the coming weeks.
