00:02 - This is Digbeth Art Space.
00:08 We have the gallery here.
00:10 We've got the shop and studio as well.
00:13 We have resident artists in the studio.
00:16 We've got Imogen Morris and Stan Purah Design Studio
00:21 have just moved in.
00:23 We have a really wide range of people who come here.
00:27 We have people who come specifically for the art,
00:30 but we also have, because of where we are,
00:33 we have people who work in Zelig and Custard Factory.
00:37 People will come in and sit, eat their lunch in here,
00:40 just use it, enjoy the space.
00:42 One of the things that we really like to do
00:45 is finding talent and encouraging it
00:48 and encouraging people to stretch themselves.
00:51 At the moment, we've got Ray Richardson's exhibition up,
00:53 which you can see behind me.
00:56 Coming up, we've got Jenny Owen.
00:59 We've got George Cockcocks, who's a local artist.
01:02 We're working with Ben Oakley Gallery
01:04 and down in London and White Hotel up in Manchester.
01:08 And we're also producing a play
01:12 at Hockley Social Club with the White Hotel.
01:15 So lots of things coming up in the next six months
01:19 and yeah, very exciting.
01:21 - We set up 25 years ago.
01:24 We sell board games, role-playing games, card games.
01:28 We've got a couple of big pre-releases coming up
01:31 for card games and then some war gaming
01:33 and some role-playing going on on the tables as well.
01:35 Board gaming and role-playing, and even the war gaming,
01:39 is face-to-face, it's around a table.
01:41 And it's all community building, really.
01:44 You meet people over the table and become friends.
01:48 Digbuff is an eclectic mix of businesses
01:50 and it's a melting pot, really.
01:52 So we pull in our own little groups into the pot.
01:55 - We are the Central School of Makeup.
01:57 We're based in Digbuff and we are at Zellig Building
02:00 in the Custard Factory.
02:02 And we were founded in 2013.
02:05 We're the first independent private makeup school
02:08 outside of London that offers international qualifications.
02:11 And we provide professional hair and makeup courses
02:15 for people who wanna get into the industry
02:18 but are looking for an alternative route
02:19 for their education.
02:20 - We are really looking to train our students
02:23 and then actively get them into work.
02:26 So we are quite a good fit here
02:27 because this is the sort of landing pad for students
02:30 to then springboard into some of those roles.
02:33 We have a lot of courses starting in September.
02:36 We have foundation-level courses,
02:37 so these are for complete beginners
02:39 who are looking to start a business in beauty or bridal,
02:42 perhaps looking to get into retail.
02:44 We have a lot of returning students coming in September
02:46 for our fashion courses as well.
02:50 - There's lots of amazing, fun businesses here,
02:54 startups, businesses that have been here
02:56 for many years as well.
02:58 Digbuff and the businesses based here
03:00 are really the creative heart of Birmingham.
