00:00 I said myself that I wanted to be, but you know, your life perspective changes after
00:08 life altering events.
00:11 So it's okay.
00:12 I mean, if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen.
00:15 On a personal level, I don't see a clear path.
00:19 That's not the most significant reason for it.
00:27 I think, you know, I wouldn't mind putting in more time, paying more dues to get there.
00:37 But it needs to be with a party that I feel inspired about.
00:42 And what choices do you have right now that inspire you?
00:47 You have, well, there's no way back into where I came from.
00:53 The other coalitions, one works with them, so that's a big no-no.
00:59 You're basically enabling whatever's wrong with that party.
01:03 And on the other side, I have some problems with their worldview.
01:09 Basically, BN, I can't go back into.
01:13 PH, you're enabling corruption.
01:16 And PN, I have certain problems with the worldview.
01:20 Look, I'm 47.
01:22 I've been a minister three times.
01:24 I've been a member of parliament three times.
01:27 So it's not a, I don't mean this condescendingly, but it's not a big thing anymore to become
01:36 a minister.
01:37 So there are other goals in life I want to chase.
01:42 What is it?
01:43 You work yourself to death to become a minister again.
01:48 You go around the merry-go-round.
01:50 So unless it's for a significant promotion, which is a top job, for which I don't see
01:56 a path to right now, then why rinse, repeat something that causes considerable pressure
02:06 on you and is detrimental to your well-being?
02:09 I don't think many politicians talk about it, and maybe some of them are completely
02:13 immune, but I think for those of us who are honest about it, it takes a toll on your mental
02:21 health, especially politicians who care about what they do and politicians who lean into
02:31 what they do.
02:32 If you're there for other reasons, if you don't particularly care about the work, if
02:37 you don't apply yourself 100%, then maybe it doesn't affect you.
02:42 But as I said, I don't do things in half measure.
