00:00 The number of unemployed or unemployed people in the country is increasing.

00:04 According to the Philippine Statistics Authority,

00:06 2.33 million people are unemployed or have a job, or 4.5%.

00:10 In May, 2.17 million people were unemployed or have a job, or 4.3%.

00:16 48.84 million people were employed or have a job in June.

00:21 But more than 5 million of them are underemployed or are looking for additional jobs

00:27 or have a higher salary due to the current low wages.

00:32 Among the industries that have been greatly added to employment are construction,

00:37 agriculture and forestry, and administrative and support service activities.
