00:09 and you were to tell me one through, I don't know, three,

00:14 - Well, it's my kids.
00:15 Everything is about them being okay,
00:18 being in school, having what they need, their moments.
00:21 I need to be there for every single moment that they have.
00:24 It's harder for me to leave them
00:27 than I think it is for them when I leave.
00:29 I don't leave that much
00:30 and I don't work that much anymore either.
00:33 I keep looking at them going, I got nothing but you.
00:35 And they're like, oh.
00:36 You know, I told them where they can go to college.
00:39 I said, these are the places that I feel comfortable living.
00:42 So you have these choices.
00:43 So my priorities are my kids, my kids, my kids,
00:45 my family, my family, that's it.
00:47 - When you were like 41, 42, 43,
00:50 did you think to yourself, you know what, maybe not?
00:54 - I did think maybe not.
00:56 And then Katrina happened.
00:58 I'm gonna cry.
00:59 Katrina happened in New Orleans
01:02 and I knew that just something told me
01:05 that my child was there.
01:07 It was weird.
01:10 - Was it a gut feeling or a God feeling?
01:11 - I think they're one in the same.
01:13 I don't think there's a difference.
01:15 I really don't.
01:16 And it was the process of filling out forms,
01:19 filling out forms, being judged,
01:21 being, you know, sort of being in the spotlight,
01:24 you know, about who you are as a human being
01:26 that is awkward.
01:28 And then it was, I mean, four years later.
01:31 - Four?
01:32 - Three or four years later.
01:33 - Wow.
01:34 - But then I looked at him, I just said,
01:35 "Oh, there you are."
01:35 It's like he'd always been there.
01:37 It's like he fit in the crook of my arm.
01:38 He looked me in the eyes and he was just,
01:42 he was wise.
01:43 My child was wise.
01:45 - Funny what you know in like a second.
01:47 - And the beautiful thing that I was constantly told
01:51 was the perfect child will find you.
01:53 You will find your child.
01:55 Stop.
01:56 Look in that direction.
01:58 - I'm trying not to look at you.
01:59 - But you don't believe that when it's not happening.
02:02 You know, when you're going, "Where's my family?
02:04 "Where's my?"
02:05 And when it does happen,
02:06 you know exactly what they're talking about.
02:09 - It's so funny because without knowing it,
02:11 when you adopted Louis,
02:13 a lot of people were looking at you.
02:14 And I remember, 'cause I was in Rio for the,
02:18 I'm gonna cry, I don't know why, because--
02:20 - Look that way.
02:21 - I'm trying hard.
02:21 - Look away, Madge, look away.
02:23 - But I was in Rio and I was trying to figure out,
02:26 like, did I miss my window?
02:27 Am I too late?
02:29 Should I have done, I mean, a bunch of woulda, couldas.
02:32 And all of a sudden, I googled you.
02:35 I just wanted to know.
02:37 And we were from similar areas in Virginia.
02:40 We're the same age.
02:41 And I, it was almost like hope.
02:43 I said, "Oh my God."
02:44 And literally that, in Rio, after that,
02:48 there was the little boy in Syria.
02:50 I don't know if you remember him,
02:51 but he had like dirt in his hair and he was sitting.
02:53 That image came on the screen.
02:56 And I cried and I said, "You know what?
02:57 "Like, if I need one more sign, like, I'm going home
03:01 "and I'm starting to fill out all that paperwork."
03:04 And I remember I reached out to you
03:05 and you gave me some good advice, but I thought--
03:09 - Sandra Bellock's long-time partner,
03:12 that is Bren Randell, has died.
03:15 Actually, he died over the weekend.
03:17 His family has come out to reveal to the press
03:20 that it was on Monday.
03:21 He was just 57 years old.
03:25 In a statement that has been released via social media
03:28 and via the official press person,
03:33 and of course it was shared with the other press,
03:36 they said in a touching and heartbreaking statement
03:39 that it's with great sadness that we share on August 5th,
03:43 Bren Randell has passed away peacefully
03:47 after a three-year battle with ALS.
03:51 His family continued and said,
03:52 "Bren chose Ali to keep his journey with ALS private
03:56 "and of course those of us who cared for him
03:58 "did our best to honor his request.
04:01 "We are immensely grateful to the tireless dog lovers
04:05 "who navigated the landscape of this illness with us,
04:09 "and of course to the astounding nurses
04:12 "who became our roommates,
04:14 "often sacrificing their own families to be with ours."
04:18 His family continued further and said,
04:20 "At this time, we ask for privacy to grieve
04:24 "and of course to come to terms
04:26 "with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Mr. Bren."
04:31 The statement concluded and was signed
04:34 with the last actually word saying,
04:37 his loving family.
04:38 They actually encouraged to send donations in lieu of,
04:43 I mean, in lieu of flowers,
04:46 they asked for donations to be made
04:48 to the ALS Association and of course,
04:51 the Massachusetts General Hospital.
04:54 So the brief rain to Sandra has passed away.
04:58 It's really very sad.
04:59 That was the statement you've heard it.
05:01 We all know Mrs. Balogh, a 59-year-old maid,
05:05 Randall, the popular model who turned later on
05:08 as a photographer and of course,
05:11 even photographed her son, Luis.
05:13 But in January 2015, they took their relationship
05:16 more public than that year, I mean, later that year,
05:20 but of course, including an appearance
05:22 at the Gianni for Einstein and Justin Theroux wedding.
05:26 So they have been together, very loving family, very close.
05:29 And of course, we all know Sandra is very, very much
05:33 devastated and heartbroken because actually they had
05:36 a son that is Luis who is 13 and of course,
05:41 their daughter, Leila, who is 10 years old.
05:45 They've always addressed the topic of marriage
05:48 in a couple of interviews and they said,
05:50 "I found," by the way, Sandra said,
05:51 "I found the love of my life."
05:53 Well, she had two beautiful children, three children,
05:56 and of course, there is one who is older
05:59 and that is a daughter who belonged to Randall
06:02 who actually they came into,
06:03 Randall came into the relationship with her.
06:06 So they've always been together
06:09 and Sandra has always actually expressed public love
06:13 and of course, affection to the partner that is Mr. Bren.
06:17 So in this moment in time, we're asking for prayers
06:20 to the family, Sandra, you know,
06:23 she has lots and lots of fans all over the globe.
06:26 So we ask for prayers, they ask for prayers,
06:30 but of course, we will be sending prayers to the family,
06:32 the fans and everyone who is close to that family.
