00:00 It's a great shame that I have to be here today because it's a basic right that I have
00:04 to have a service that we need for Welsh.
00:06 It's disappointing that they're willing to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds on persecuting
00:11 me rather than providing a simple pro forma free language.
00:18 It's important because it's an example of the way in which we have to continue to campaign
00:22 for our basic rights as Welsh language speakers.
00:25 We should need to do this.
00:27 We should be able to provide the service through Medium of Welsh when we require it.
00:32 And it is more important obviously for this company to prosecute me than to provide a
00:38 simple letter through Medium of Welsh.
00:40 So I'm here to support Tony in this, which I'd call it a pitiful case because this is
00:49 one of Wales' official languages and Tony was given this fine in the Welsh speaking
00:56 community so I think it's stupid that this is even an issue.
01:02 I was, 70 years ago I was one of the protesters who took part in one of the country's first
01:08 protests on Trefechan Bridge, Pont Trefechan and 70 years later in fact we're very near
01:16 Pont Trefechan at the moment.
01:19 I think there's a lot to do still in fact to gain justice for the Welsh language and
01:25 for Welsh speakers and I'm particularly object to the fact that a private company like the
01:30 company in question connected with this particular case still in fact have the temerity to make
01:37 a lot of money out of Wales and yet they refuse in fact to acknowledge the fact that the Welsh
01:43 language is a living language in Wales and indeed an official language in Wales.
