00:04 where there are still many places submerged in flood.
00:07 In Plaridel, several houses collapsed after the ground gave way to a ditch.
00:12 Witness, James Agustin.
00:14 James?
00:17 Iganpi, 16 towns and 3 cities here in the province of Bulacan are affected by flooding.
00:25 In some towns, the water level may have risen because of high tide.
00:29 [Music]
00:33 Some parts of Barangay Santo Rosario are still flooded in Malolos.
00:37 Some roads are flooded with water, so residents are forced to flee.
00:42 The construction worker, Don Don, is being sent home from his work in Paumbo.
00:46 It's really hard because sometimes it hurts my feet.
00:49 I can only touch the device.
00:52 But sometimes, it's in the car.
00:55 Even though the flood affected the relief goods, Rani helped.
00:59 He also helped to bring the relief goods home.
01:02 It's hard because we are losing our livelihood.
01:05 We are tricycle drivers.
01:07 It's hard to earn.
01:09 Our daily life is like that.
01:12 Residents are affected by the flood.
01:15 It's really hard.
01:17 And when our tricycle sinks, we can't get out.
01:21 The market has been submerged for a few days.
01:25 The business is still going, but the buyers are drowning in the flood.
01:28 Even though some establishments have been flooded.
01:31 It's really flooded.
01:34 How did the buyers get here?
01:36 They all drowned here.
01:38 And in the morning, the fish were all tied up.
01:41 They were sitting in the flood.
01:44 It's deep.
01:47 Three houses were once submerged in this area of Barangay Parulan,
01:51 on the side of the river, in Pari Del Bulacan.
01:53 But because of the rain, the houses were submerged.
01:57 After the land on the side of the river was given away.
02:00 According to Jo Marie Salvador and Julius Carlo Cavianosa,
02:03 around 4.30 p.m. yesterday,
02:05 they felt that the land was sinking under their rented apartment.
02:09 They immediately ran outside the house.
02:11 According to Salvador, he tried to save the goods.
02:14 But his house suddenly fell into the river.
02:17 Next, Cavianosa's house also fell into the river.
02:20 And so did another house.
02:23 The other house that didn't even sink.
02:25 It was hit by a big rock from the wall to the hip.
02:28 According to the residents, the houses were built for 30 years.
02:32 There was no riprap on that part of the house.
02:34 So when the land softened, it continued to fall into the river.
02:38 Six other residents evacuated.
02:40 None were hurt.
02:42 The barangay officials went there to find out the situation.
02:46 The water is already deep.
02:48 The water is already deep outside the house of Marisol Moreno
02:51 in Barangay Santa Lucia in the town of Calumpit.
02:53 I think you're holding a bag.
02:55 There's a lot of debris inside their house.
02:57 Our supplies were all gone in the past four days.
03:01 So now, one of us needs to go out.
03:05 This is also the problem in Barangay Corazon.
03:08 That's why the residents are using their own boats,
03:11 makeshift boats, and even boats to cross the river.
03:15 According to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office of Bulacan,
03:19 there are still almost 200 barangays in Bulacan that are still flooded.
03:22 Almost 5,000 families are in different evacuation centers in Bulacan.
03:26 Up to six barangays are flooded.
03:29 The majority are in Calumpit, Malolo, and Agonoy.
03:33 There is also water under the Tolaok Overpass of NLEX,
03:37 near San Simon Exit.
03:39 That's why the expressway is still flooded before it gets flooded.
03:43 When San Simon, Pampanga, and Quezon Road enter Manila North Road,
03:48 the flood reaches Hita.
03:50 According to the NLEX,
03:52 water started to accumulate in the overpass on Friday
03:55 because of the flooding caused by the water from the dams and the continuous rain.
04:00 We thought we could reroute,
04:03 but fortunately, we learned that the flood outside of NLEX is even higher.
04:10 So what we did, the traffic is still continuous.
04:15 If the water level is really high, we will not let the outermost lane pass.
04:21 Yesterday afternoon, the traffic reached 10 kilometers in the north and southbound lane.
04:27 We will pump out the water there.
04:29 The water will only return if the side of the expressway is not properly maintained.
04:35 Meanwhile, Pia, in Malolo, there are 39 barangays affected by the flood,
04:44 according to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
