A crunchy and spicy snack straight out of the Music City. In this video, Nicole shows you how to make Nashville hot fried pickles. This tasty recipe starts by drying and dredging the pickles in a dry and wet mixture made with buttermilk, eggs, and hot sauce. Next, fry the pickles in canola oil until they’re golden and crispy. Finally, coat the pickles in a Nashville hot sauce made from paprika, cayenne, butter, brown sugar, salt, and garlic powder.

00:02 First step is to drain your pickles.
00:05 You wanna make sure they're nice and dry
00:06 so the batter sticks.
00:08 For the wet ingredients, I'm starting with buttermilk,
00:10 going in with a couple eggs, and some hot sauce.
00:13 For the dry ingredients, got a combination
00:14 of white and wheat flour, salt, paprika, and cayenne.
00:18 Take your dried pickle, coat it in your buttermilk mixture,
00:21 and then into your flour mixture,
00:22 and then take a bath in the oil.
00:24 To make that Nashville hot sauce
00:25 that we're gonna coat our pickles with,
00:26 I'm starting by melting some butter.
00:28 To that, I'm going in with a lot of cayenne pepper,
00:30 a little bit of brown sugar to balance that out,
00:33 some paprika, salt, and garlic powder.
