Leeds United's players are getting to grips with Farke's style of play based on what they showed against Monaco
Transcript
00:00 I thought in the first few minutes, Leeds were maybe going to get a bit of a do-in because
00:04 Monaco looked a lot slicker for maybe the first three or four minutes.
00:07 And then suddenly, Leeds just started to get on the ball and Ampadu was playing long passes
00:15 down the middle to put strikers in.
00:19 Archie Gray, who was playing alongside Ampadu, was moving into the right-back slot with Ayling
00:24 pushing really, really high up, almost forming like a front five.
00:31 Ayling was almost playing like another winger.
00:34 Archie Gray was dropping in and then he would pick up the ball and he'd look for a one-two
00:37 with Sinistra and then it would unlock space in the middle and they'd move forward and
00:41 then they'd maybe spray it left.
00:43 Kjelde was inverting, as we've seen the full-backs do against Manchester United, to form another
00:49 one in the centre.
00:51 And actually I thought Leeds played some really nice stuff and they had chances.
00:54 There was that moment where Ayling got on the end of a cross from the left that could
01:01 have been another Huddersfield moment.
01:04 Sinistra got the ball in a good shooting area and couldn't keep a shot down.
01:10 And there were chances.
01:12 And though Monaco took the win and actually the second half I thought Leeds faded a little
01:15 bit in terms of influence, I thought there was plenty there to suggest that Farke is
01:20 get into grips with this group and his football starting to show.
