The Court of Appeal has fixed Aug 8 to hear former attorney general (AG) Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali’s appeal against a High Court's dismissal of his RM10mil defamation lawsuit against Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang.
The hearing date was fixed after case management before Court of Appeal deputy registrar Ahmad Fairuz Mohd Puzi on Tuesday (July 25).

00:44 the Road to Integrity in Malaysia Keening".
00:47 He claimed the alleged libelous words in the article implied that he was involved in crime
00:52 and had abated in the 1MDB scandal and had abused his power when he was the Attorney
00:58 General.
00:59 Muhammad Appandi, who was the AG from July 2015 to June 2018, contended that the libelous
01:04 words were untrue and written with the intention of tarnishing his image and credibility as
01:10 a former Malaysian AG for cheap publicity.
01:13 He sought aggravated and exemplary damages as well as RM10 million in general damages,
01:19 an injunction to prevent Lim and/or his agents from publishing the alleged defamatory words
01:25 again and other relief deemed fit by the court.
