00:03 but none more so than the solutions and interventions this government
00:08 this government was able to provide for a sector that for so long has languished
00:12 in debt and neglect from those who were mandated to take care of them.

00:21 In his second State of the Nation address, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:29 proudly laid the achievement of his administration in the agriculture sector
00:34 and lowering the price of basic commodities such as pork meat products, sugar, and onions.
00:40 He received an applause when he talked of the 70,000 kadiwa stores all over the country
00:46 in which around 1.8 million Filipinos benefit from.
00:50 Through direct selling from farm to consumer, prices of goods became cheaper.
00:55 50 million rice seeds and other equipment were given to farmers.
01:00 Land titles were granted to 70,000 farmer beneficiaries and he was able to sign into law
01:07 the Emancipation Act that he promised in his last SONA.

01:45 To resolve the problem brought about by the water shortage and the El Nino phenomenon,
01:50 Marcos managed to establish the Water Resource Management Office.
01:55 But he wants to create a Department of Water Resource Management
01:59 in the course of his administration. The chief executive cited programs to fulfill his promise
02:05 that no Filipino will be left behind as budget was allocated for poor Filipinos,
02:11 such as fund for the PAD program, social pension for indigent senior citizens,
02:16 cash for work for persons with disability, and the newly launched Pilot Food Stump Program
02:22 for the nutrition of millions of the poorest Filipinos.
02:25 He also mentioned the lowering of prices of medicine up to 44%.

02:35 Aside from the maximum retail price regulation being implemented, strategic VAT exemptions
02:40 also lowered the prices of 59 essential medications such as those for cancer,
02:47 diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, and mental illness.
02:51 In the latter part of his sona, he proudly announced one of his major programs,
02:56 which is the free shelter for Filipinos. 25 ground breakings have already been made,
03:02 and contracts have been signed for 100 locations all over the country for the Libreng Pabahay
03:08 program. This sums up to 1 million free homes for Filipinos.
